    Putting tubes in a prebuild makes two ways of sense: You dont run the risk of the tire deflating as it maybe sits in a box for weeks or months, making a mess if there was sealant in it. The other benefit would be that the tire is already nicely stretched into shape, making it easier to set it up tubeless. And then you have a emergency tube on hand too! 😊

    Nice work buddy!! COMMENCAL was allways my favourite bike brand because their bikes look hell good and they only build the frames out of aluminium. Also that you can personally customise your own bike online is such a sick feature that is really rare on the bike market these days! Keep up the great work!👍

    As far as I’ve experienced working in a shop, every new bike I’ve built regardless of price comes with tubes installed.
    Can’t ship bikes with sealant pre installed since it will just dry up and shops also don’t know how long a bike will sit on the sales floor. Typically tubeless conversion is done during the pre sale checkover once the bike is sold.

    Years ago I purchased the Meta AM (you know, that blue one) as a frame only from Chain Reaction Cycles for a bargain £700! It was an awesome looking bike but having gone from a Specialized Enduro SL that I'd customised with a Fox 36 Vanilla and a Fox Vanilla Coil at the rear, which uses the Horst Link system, sadly, I never managed to get the Meta AM to feel as capable and confident. But I must say, your new bike looks absolutely amazing and it's good to see that Commencial have decided upon using a different suspension/linkage system, because honestly the Faux Bar design really doesn't compete with the Horst Link system in my humble opinion. It will be good to hear your opinion on how it feels in use.

I've tried the Spindrift before so maybe a comparison to that please? I am an advanced rider, I am doing SoCal double black tech and some pretty sizeable jumps, 25ft plus tables and 15ft gaps. I still need something I can pedal back up 2000 ft + climbs. Thanks!

    5:31 Any reason you did not want the Schwalbe tyres? I've had so much bad experience with Maxxis I'm not going to return to Maxxis. So many faulty tyres, some even had thread pointing to the right, all got warped or were warped from new, bead looked like I sanded it. it was Shorty & High Roller 2, more of those. So I eventually gave up. So I'm disappointed with the quality. But haven't tried Schwalbe apart from their studded tyres, which performed well. Maybe Norwegian distributor got massive load of faulty tyres.

      @@LewisBuchanan Things might have improved I don't know, but I should have tried warranty, but at the time everyone in Norway were out of stock, and I bought all tyres I could get to have in stock for riding and for next season. So at that point I decided not to return them as I needed them. So have some barely used tyres, the rest are worn out. But I always had issues with the tyres warping, maybe not the first tyres I got the first years but after that every single tyre was faulty, stock was always low too. But stock does not seem to be an issue anymore this was years ago. I switched to Michelin but they crack at the knobs, but bead is like new. So won't risk tyre blowing off. Even the DHR2 on the XC bike I barely ride got warped tyres. I wonder why it happens. But I'm not the only one, seen comments in Facebook groups even a vid mentioning same issue. So I hope things have improved. Some call it the ''Maxxis wobble''
      But years ago I used to like the Maxxis tyres when ever it was, maybe 2016, I don't think I had issues then, but after that it was crazy. Some were so bad they should not have even passed visual inspection. But even in recent years I saw some had issues with it, but think it was one or two years ago. But I hope Maxxis has taken this issue seriously.
      Stuff happens, but this was so extreme I just couldn't take it anymore. Michelin thread/knobs wear out quicker. But love the handling of the Wild Enduro, super stable, also stable when at extreme lean angle and turn angle so made track stands easier. I did not like the squirmy feel The Shorty and High Roller 2 gave, but not tried the new Shorty. They sure were super slow rolling but good in mud.

      @@LewisBuchanan 5:36 I'm curious if the cornering knob feel has changed from DHR2, original Shorty, and High Roller 2, I found them to be to squirmy. But liked how durable the knobs were. 5:42 the thread pattern looks good, but not super fast, but looks liek they will transition well.

      @@LewisBuchanan I’ve been on 2.6 but considering 2.3 or 2.4 to cut into the mud a bit more. I’ll keep 2.6 on the dry weather / trail centre setup. Tyres are so expensive to just try out

    Personally I wouldn't be happy with a steerer tube cut that short, otherwise it looks a great bike for the money - I though it was going to be one of the Cotic Frameworks colabs to be honest.

    nice! although wouldn't it have been easier (and cheaper) to get the frame and build it up, given you're changing most parts on it?

      @LewisBuchanan  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Probably not. Costs a tone for full drivetrain and other bits and bobs

    Just curious, why buy the complete bike then swap out all of the major components? Fork, shock, wheels, brakes, tires...why not buy the frame without the shock and build it how you want?
