first time doing weekly battle, should i do trophy + misc or 5 skull and what is the difference? thanks for the guides

Welcome!
The way weekly battles work is that you earn a bunch of trophies the first time you beat each skull tier. So, what you want to do is clear all 5 tiers first, then keep farming additional trophies and misc bonuses daily afterward.
