  • Hi y'all! 👋
Last week we left you with the big reveal - the plan to pull apart our caravan and build it from the bottom up!
In this weeks video we show you how it really went down when we dismantled the entire caravan to its tray.. it was not as easy as we thought. 🧐 crazy how they made these things back in the day!
We hope you can all come along and join us on this #vanbuild journey! ✌️

I’ve just found all your videos and have watched one out of order. Will be bingeing on the rest over Easter. Don’t suppose you can add episode numbers to the titles so someone like me can tell which order they should be watched in? Would be really helpful.
Your van looks amazing. Any chance of a travel update video too? Thx.

Good one guys! We've just finished our demolition stage and up to sanding/painting. Watching videos like this gives us hope that we'll be hitting the road soon! Haha. Enjoy, legends! 🤙 Kiki & Dan from WA x

Can you tell me how much was it on the panels alone? Would really help me out. About to start work on one I bought for 500 and want to redue everything perhaps

How did you guys know the van had water damage? We are looking at our first caravan (used) and haven’t even thought about the van being water damaged.

Hi Chris, how are you going? Thats a good question! After some heavy rain we noticed it leaking in a few spots, and once we had a good look over the van we noticed all the temp fixes previously done!
Its hard to tell with vans but you just need to look for Sika jobs on the roof, around windows, doors, any cut out, see if they are fresh or have had water pass through them. Its obvious;y hard to tell until you rip a panel off but it will show on anything timber!
Id be looking at caravans with fibreglass composite panelling and not the old style of Stick & Tin as they call it, as they are more prone to leaking.
Just really have a keen eye and you should be fine!
      Hope that helps

April & Jack would love to buy one with the composite paneling but unfortunately the funds won’t allow! I think I shall bust the hose out when I’m looking at them and see if they leak. Spewing that you guys bought something then it turns out the way it did. Grouse that you’re getting to build something that you know and trust tho. All the best!

Some brands have aluminium frames Coromal etc. easier than replacing timber.
