One of the most underrated bands... Keane is amazing... Under the Iron Sea is that perfect album that you can listen to front to back & love every track. Same with Perfect Symmetry ... If I were to rank their albums 1) Under the Iron Sea 2) Perfect Symmetry 3) Cause & Effect 4) Hopes & Fears 5) Strangeland They’re all amazing and the ranking is a lot of nostalgia, but very close list. Great video!
ur music taste is incredible! exactly same as me. The beatles, rolling stones, Oasis, Queen, led zeppelin and now Keane.Basically Uk music. the album hopes and fears is a freaking masterpieace. all the songs are hits if u ask me. but again u havent got any david bowie stuff or early Coldplay on ur channel.again, ur music taste is 10/10
Thank you! I do like Bowie and only have a few CDs and a maybe half dozen LPs. I’ve absolutely zero interest in Coldplay and have slated them for 20 years in one way or another! It’s totally unfair of me of course but that’s showbiz!!!! Regards A
*1. Under The Iron Sea* Best song writing out of all the albums, and the whole thing just has this rough-jagged theme. Favorite song: Crystal Ball *2. Perfect Symmetry* I love it for dark themes and unique sounds of this album, definitely a lot different than the others. Favorite song: PTYA / black burning heart *3. Hopes and Fears* This album has all the classic songs on it, and pretty good song writing. Most of the songs are very catchy. Favorite song: Sunshine. *4. Cause and Effect* This album I wanted to put above Hopes and Fears, but I think all the songs are good but are missing this edge the earlier songs had. Favorite song: Chase the Night Away *5. Strangeland* A lot of the songs on this album just feel weak, and the whole album is trying to capture what hopes and fears had. My favorite song is only because it sound like it's from UTIS. Favorite song: Day Will Come *6. Night Train* So weird. So odd. Doesn't really feel like Keane. Favorite song: My shadow / Your Love
Good review. Thankfully Night Train wasn’t a proper album even if fleshed out with another few songs! I didn’t like that one at all. Anything with RNB never works, it just sounds like cash in. The early B sides are superb, especially Fly To Me.
@@dummyproductions4281 if you look at Coldplay for example, they went down the RNB road with Rihanna and for a decade all their music was dance oriented and now you don’t even notice their bland, cookie cutter crap!
Hello! I've seen them live in Belfast at Waterfront Hall (7 - october). A great show. They're four simple and human guys. But Tom Chaplin has an unhuman voice. 🌠 The gig started with "You're not home" (intro reminds me the Radiohead sound..), ending the show with "Sovereign light cafè". A total of 26 songs. It was a blessed night! Absolutely a suggested experience! Only disappointing thing: there wasn't "put the radio on" in the setlist.
You’re lucky! I missed the Dublin gig. Keane are one band I’d love to see live even though I don’t like live gigs, poor sound, assholes in the crowd that can’t behave and overpriced tickets in rip off Eire!
It costed to me 50 pounds..and you know, i assure you that a Keane audience is something really special! They are just people like you and me, with the same tastes! These same words you can apply to the band itself. 😃 And the sound engineering was of the highest order.. Stay sure..it is worth to see them just only for the pleasure to listen to Tom' s voice..the rays of a diamond reflecting through a prisma!! 🌅
I think C & E is the best after UTIS. The first album is great and UTIS a millimeter better! I have a ticket to see them live but the July gig was cancelled until next July! ☹️
