本曲描繪臺灣開闢至今的風貌，同時感嘆由於過度的開發所帶來的影響；進而設問聆聽者忍心繼續看著被汙染的空氣與河川、砍伐殆盡的樹林、開發過度的城市嗎？而雖然我們已無法修復對臺灣造成的傷害，但我們可以盡小小的環保之力，來維護我們所生長且美麗的福爾摩沙。
本曲並非以臺灣耳熟能詳的民謠作改編，而是採用全新的主題來描繪邁向新世紀的臺灣。樂曲共分為六大段落，描述臺灣從初至今的景色：大地聲頌、晨村與晚城、靜謐山林、川流的悲泣、大地反撲、新福爾摩沙。

“Formosa” is an early name of Taiwan widely used in European region. It represents a nostalgia of the beautiful homeland that we dream of.
The piece paints the scenery of Taiwan along its rich developmental journey, and aims to arouse listeners’ concern about over-exploitation, air and water pollution, over-development and other environmental issues that exist on the island. Not looking back into the past, the composer hopes that in the future we could protect our Formosa through daily eco-friendly acts.
Not adapting Taiwanese folk song melodies, the composer wrote original themes to depict the Taiwan of our times. The music comprises of six sections, describing the journey of Taiwan: “the voice of the earth”, “the morning villages and the evening cities”, “the tranquil mountains”, “the tears of the rivers”, “the revenge of the land” and “the new Formosa”.

Put on english description please
This song depicts Taiwan's appearance to this day, and laments the impact of our growth in Taiwan due to overexploitation. In turn, do you want to continue to look at Taiwan, polluted air and rivers, deforestation and overexploited cities? Although we can no longer repair the damage to Taiwan, we can do our best to protect our growing and beautiful Formosa. This song is not adapted from Taiwanese familiar folk songs, but adopts a completely new theme to depict Taiwan in the new century. The music is divided into six paragraphs, describing the scenery of Taiwan from the beginning to the present: the voice of the earth, the city and the evening city, the quiet mountains and forests, the tears of the river flow, the earth's reaction, and the new Formosa.

感谢网友蔡栋先生的提醒，我是师范学校出身，但是上学时只是选修，而没有专修音乐，所以对此是半知半解，首先向曲作者表示敬意，但就我个人意见而言，该曲在创作中还是有一定的水平限制的，首先旋律并不如其他曲子那样动听，某些地方感到杂乱无章；其次，在演奏上感觉不连贯，有些地方还有断档的味道。不过作为一个年轻的女生，非作曲出身，却能写出曲子来，并且被包括新竹青年国乐团在内的各个民族乐团接受，演奏，还是可圈可点的。在此祝愿这位作者以后创作出更好更优秀的作品。

從來未聽过此曲,细查國藝會,原來是侧面美少女小曾的2016初作,寫得最差的是起首二胡组協奏部,声音沙啞,格格不入,如換用小提琴,则有完全不同效果,最佳的是豎琴部曲,揚琴部曲亦佳.全曲11分鐘便巳包括五個樂章,實在太短了.不过小将牛刀小試,以實力加天才取勝,我認為比大陸的王丹红好多了,前途無量 !
