Used SA and Wahed. SA seems way more mature in terms of user experience and financial info. You can switch investments, multiple portfolio, money/time based returns, etc. Wahed is lacking in user experience - no web interface, single portfolio... but I like how easy to transfer funds in to Wahed and also the return summary. Very straightforward. Not tried myTheo.. Thanks for the review.
I think you hve to decide based on your investment preference. First is whether you want to just invest in shariah compliance instrument - that's wahed. No preference on that, then see if you want to invest all overseas or mix of local stocks (wahed). If you want opinion based on returns, no straight answer. It's investment anyway, depending on your risk appetite and market performance. So far both equally good. Either way should be fine I think.

Subscribed! this is a very good breakdown of the options for robo advisors that we have here in Malaysia. I have been investing heavily in StashAway for nearly 2 years and am satisfied with the results I have gotten from it. Hey Faizal! These roboadvisors aren't insured by PIDM. However, they do have trustee accounts that keep our money somewhat safe from them just running away. For example, StashAway has Citibank as their trustee, where all investors money are kept in a separate account that can't simply be accessed by the company!
Is there any difference in terms risk or benefit, if we put a lump sum money in(lets say 10k) vs monthly deposit into this robo-advisor ie wahed invest?
Hi Umair. Your account should show MYR but the investments are always in USD since these are US ETF's. Can't buy them in Ringgit, you can sort of consider it a hedge bro

Great explanation !! I have question, is it better to put higher starting deposit, followed with no monthly deposit,,, or best if we divide by monthly deposit. Example I have a fund of RM1000, Option A : Invest RM1000 in starting deposit, RM0 monthly Option B : Invest RM100 in starting deposit, RM100 monthly for nine months,, Which one better?
This is a great question Izzat! To us, it's better to split your deposit. However, doing so over 10 months might mean you might miss out on some nice market gains. We would do 4 tranches of RM250 for example. Do note that we're not financial advisors and you should always do your research first! :)

Hey man. It would be irresponsible for us to claim StashAway is shariah compliant. I believe certain allocation of their funds (eg S&P 500) may hold certain stocks that go against it. If you're looking for a strict shariah-compliant roboadvisor, Wahed is a good alternative!
How do you transfer money to wahed invest? I'm a Singaporean and I saw that it has to be transferred to their overseas bank which incurs considerably high charges. What more the minimum 100usd would defo be lesser after subtracting off the additonal charges. How about Malaysians? Is wahed invest directly linked to Malaysian banks and hence avoiding all these extra costs.
