Very very impressed ! Most remixes of tracks from this era are simply a house loop laid over the original track or chopped up parts of it. They end up sounding like two records playing. Your mix sounds as if you've got hold of the original stems (?) and the end result is a well balanced reconstruction with a more powerful bottom end, and you've mixed down the shrill synth leads. How you've synced the old video clips to your remix is terrific. And I like the subtle variations during the break and outro. I'm a retired club DJ but am still in contact with many Djs & producers across the globe. I only just stumbled across this so I'll spread the word. Great work buddy !!

@@NRGRemixes1 Firstly such an iconic original. Also the original was unusual in that the lyrics are uplifting but the music is mostly in a minor key. I don't think the piano chords work as they sound detached from the rest, and there's nothing to support them. Maybe a spacey synth pad would have gelled better. It also feels flat. I've tried to recreate some classics myself & it's only then that you realise the skill & musicality that went into the originals. As others have, I tried to update "Dancer" by Gino Soccio, a little more progressive & trippy. I like my track but it's nowhere near as sophisticated as the original sounds.

I honestly don't think you can better the original Unexpected Lovers (I presume you've watched my edit with the Spanish guitar solo) but Mike Soriano did a great remix last year and I made a video for him: th-cam.com/video/L1foiCzSYiM/w-d-xo.html
Someone please save me! I think that has to be the worst video, with the cheapest budget that I've ever seen. She nearly tripped over up on that platform in that God awful frock & beige heels. I thought Dollar were bad but jeez, I'm literally dumbfounded. The song veered too much towards Hi-Nrg for me & I really didn't gel well to it's tinny & cheap sound having just lived through the wonderful years of disco. They were grim though weren't they?...it's not just me is it?...is it?...eek...
Well this has been voted the worst music video of all time. It wasn't one of my all time favourite songs but I think my version with the Unexpected Lovers sample pepped it up quite nicely.

Did you listen to my remix of Your Love Adi? You might find the "construction" of that one interesting too.
