I'll never get over the stupidity of making Murphy breath real fire and not lining Murphy's skin with fire resistant material. Her death could've been totally preventable.
When Murphy went up in flames, I was terrified Disney would take this chance to shut down the entire show. With all of their money issues going on during this time, I figured they were going to take the opportunity to save themselves the cost of running the show as a whole. I'm glad they didn't!
I worked on star tours in Disneyland Paris and one day a group of about 25 came in, so I gave them a whole cabin to themselves and for some reason we thought it was so funny watching them on the onboard cctv moving about back and forth, left and right all in sync 😂
Possible correction to the pet cemetery story: Like most stories surrounding the Haunted Mansion, there are dozens of versions of each one. The story I know for the pet cemetery is that the original one mostly used mass-produced statues alongside little plaques with the epitaphs written on them. Of course, they bought doubles and used the doubles to create a second pet cemetery behind the mansion where you could barely see it. Later on they needed to build an exhaust vent (or something like that I don't remember) above the exit ramp so they disguised it as a tomb for an elephant as it would be clearly visible if you were looking towards the exit. That second pet cemetery still stands to this day and is likely to survive the renovation as it explains the exit being a mausoleum.

I saw the broken Indie snake in December 2022. That entire ride was in a really sorry state before the refurb. Sadly the backing-up effect in the boulder room still seemed to be broken as of my visit at the end of January 2023. I hope it isn't shut down for good... it was such an incredible effect! The park as a whole seemed a little rough around the edges when I went in January. I saw so many burnt-out lightbulbs on Main Street, and a lot of the paint on various railings was chipped and worn. I hope they can tidy up soon.
11:40 the cannons aren't broken. They're disabled. One of the reasons the ride kept having downtimes was due to intrusion faults caused by the cannons getting too close to the ride vehicles or out of position. Someone decided it was better to just disable them then to keep having downtimes.
In Pirates, when you go through the part where they took away the waterfall, they brought back the two pirates talking through that part, which I always missed when they changed the ride to add the movie elements in 06. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the changing pirate, it seriously adds so much to the ride by that single change!
I remember the cannons working at ROTR! It was so cool! Hopefully they'll be able to fix it! It really helps you feel like you're part of the battle. Also the assignment cards!! I remember that!! It was fun to trade them with others. And yes, the sporks, good times
Disney may have abandoned the A-E ticket system, but let’s be honest, they brought it back with Genie+ and paid lightning lanes in a lamer, more expensive iteration

Similar to the passes for Smuggler’s Run, they used to hand out boarding passes for Dumbo in the form of a black, wooden feather in order to count out the next boarding group. This was about 20 years ago
The old pet cemetery was still there up until the recent closure for renovation. You were still able to see it depending if the CM allowed you to or not.

Hey, I got good news about the Murphy animatronic, it is planned to return in 2025 at Disneyland, this was confirmed by a cast member in 2023 when I was there and I asked about Murphy and the Fantasmic show is planning on coming back late this year
If Juan was that popular, you would think they could have just moved him somewhere else (you can give him a whole new spiel if you need to) instead of getting rid of him! Poor bird.
My family and I went out through a side door to return to my wife's scooter and yes, the pet cemetery was still present. I can't say if it was demolished for the new renovation to make room for the gift shop to be added.
I remember in Disneyland Paris how the haunted mansion ride had the mirrors at the end not working for as long as I can remember. Some were supposed to display a ghost behind you and stuff but it was only in the last year or two where I finally saw it for what felt like the first time.
The first Mater animatronic you encounter in Radiator Spring Racers is broken--it used to move backwards into a bush as Mater talked to you. Now it just sits stationary, and then after you pass the bush, a different Mater animatronic takes its place and continues talking to you while it moves backwards...
I hate to be “that guy”, but there were two errors in this video: 1. On Rise of The Resistance, the guys that capture you are called The First Order, not The New Order. 2. The second face on the mist waterfall in Pirates of The Caribbean wasn’t Barbossa, it was Black Beard. Again, I hate to nitpick, but those two mistakes irked me a bit, seeing as they’re two of my favorite rides. I’m surprised you didn’t mention the doors in Indiana Jones! This show effect was incredible and one day I hope it can be repaired instead of being cast aside.
Secret Lilly Belle. Last time I was at the haunted mansion, the emergency exit at the beginning of the attraction (omnimover entrance) goes directly next to the pet cemetery, keeping the theming of the ride for those younger guests who couldn't make it past the opening sequence. At least that's what I remember. That was also several years ago...
I liked Toontown cause it was a place were i could go inside and play and everything was my height. Manly for younger kids But for me im 4 foot 7 inches so it was fun to go to and play
I was disappointed that you didn’t mention the dangling tables and the rafters moving as you get to second to last scene of Pirates. I wish they would fix that.
I used to love Pirates, but I eventually reached my limit with all of the PC changes they made. No more pirates chasing women, and no more auction scene with the “redhead”. Come on! Part of the whole point of the ride is that pirates behave badly and are scoundrels. So yes, they DID chase women or auction them off. And so far as I know there were NEVER female pirates. Especially feminist ones. I’m all for equal rights, but not whitewashing history. I’ll never go on that ride again.
I have a personal tradition of always making sure I ride Winnie the Pooh when I visit a Disney Park, cuz it was the first ride I ever went on when I was a little bean
I definitely thought the auction scene needed a retheme, however I kinda hate looking at it whenever I go by because nothing is in the right place I think they were just trying to make it more english or port royal esc from the movie But location wise and looking at the rest of the town nobody would be dressed as the characters are in the auction scene and the items eg. The giant long clock would not be in that location in the first place
We have been closely monitoring this effect, and each time we checked - the most recent being less than a week ago - the effect was not functioning. We believe you when you say that it was working, but many people have reported this issue to us. It might be partially broken
What's worse about the Snow White attraction at Magic Kingdom is that it wasn't closed to make way for the mine train... it was closed and replaced by the princess meet & greet pavilion :(
The date Murphy went up in flames was April, not March. I should know, it was my birthday. I had planned on going to the park that day but couldn't get the time off the next day so I could recover (and drive back to my home state). She was an amazing Animatronic, I hope they can use her "failures" to create something amazing.
THANK YOU! I *knew* the cobra in the Indiana Jones ride moved, and lunged at riders, but people kept telling me i must have misremembered. I feel so vindicated.
I just saw the Luigi's tire effect for the first time on our trip last week. It was very cool and unexpected. I'm pretty sure that one is back, at least for now.
The Apple 🍎! Hands down! That is my number one objection to the reimagining! That and I’ve never been a big fan of seeing Snow White in what amounts to a coffin. But otherwise beautiful done! I do disagree with you regarding the toon town Roger Rabbit Fountain! It’s nice to find a place to sit and relax, but experience tells me that’s going to turn into a huge dumping ground. And there will be 1 less water feature in the park, which it always needs! Plus campers can be a turn off. If people start getting territorial about the space they’re holding for their family, people will just wanna leave the space. Maybe if it were assigned? Still, they look creepy with all those personal blankets spread out. If they wanna do it right and put back the fountain and set up a curvy Toon Town style benches in a design around the space, so people could eat if they brought in food or if they bought a Mickey Basket!
The small pet cemetery on the side of the Disneyland HM wasn't in view of most guests because it was originally put there just to fill space along the walkway used by guests in a wheelchair. Because of the stairs to the front door, wheelchair access was around the far side of the porch, and a simple pet cemetery was added over there just so it wasn't a blank space and bare wall. Eventually, more people found out about the 'secret area', which prompted them to ask cast members to see it. Eventually that got too disruptive so an improved version was installed in the main queue. Given the whole queue area has been torn out to be redone, I'm sure the ADA ramp is different now too. Also, that Jack Sparrow animatronic in Pirates has always been janky. His jaw movement still isn't good, and his right hand with the cup in it not only doesn't move like a real person at all, but it's constantly tearing free of the wardrobe leaving a bare mechanical joint visible. This usually results in a cast member hastily tacking the shirt back into place, which never looks natural. They need to fix it so there's a proper wrist and attach the shirt well enough that it stops tearing free but also doesn't look weirdly glued to his hand....
Really seems inexcusable for a company making so much money and the extreme cost of going to have anything down and not working. At this point with so many years behind them they should be made to be easily removed or hidden for repairs.
I recently just went on Cars like a month ago, and the wheels effect was working but only a bit? They had the curtains open when you arrived, closed while the wheels went on, and then for the reveal of the new wheels they opened the curtains, but the curtain closed before the car moved forward. Basically just showing the white tires for a quick peek, but not functioning. So its still SEMI working sometimes?
It's funny, I watched this on the way back from our trip to Disneyland in February/March 2024, and they had just closed and reopened RSR and the effect was working again. Not WELL (the tires didn't quite line up with the vehicle) but it was running!
Some retired attractions in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom like A Nillion Dollar Bunny from Splash Mountain and some floats destroyed from SpectroMagic.
Y'all crazy if you think looking at stroller parking is better than that awesome roger fountain. And last time I was in pirate's the stinky foot pirate was missing.
i rly miss the exchanted Tiki room. I always love birds and animotfonics so it was both of my favorite things combined. If i have a choice to bring an old building it would be rhe Tiki room
this actually would not be the first time the animatronic maleficent would go up in flames as a smaller scaled version in one of Disney's parade shows also caught fire.
Did they ever have the Pirate Barker Bird at DIsneyland? I remember sitting outside PotC at the Magic Kingdom to make sure we caught his whole spiel before getting in line for the ride.
Yeah I was wondering why the cannons in Rise of the Resistance weren't moving. Disney should find another way to have Juan the Barker Bird at the Tiki Room, and Disney, PLEASE KEEP THE TIKIS!
It’s been too long since I’ve been to Disneyland, but it’s really great to see that the “waterfall effect” in PotC was removed. It took me a few rides to even understand what it was trying to do, because there was no interaction of the water below it and the speaker for the waterfall sound was always really quiet. The skeleton turning into the pirate is much better. My DL tradition is to always ride the train first.
Best part of waiting in line for Indy was Sallah, turned my whole family into Sallah truthers (I agree, though, they should bring back the whole video. It ruins the lore without it)
I have faith in Murphy!! He'll be back! My biggest issue with a broken animatronic, the Yeti at Expedition Everest! Sigh, I don't think he'll ever be himself again. At least we have the Harold yeti at the bobsleds in Disneyland though.
From what I understand, the issue with the yeti is they'd have to disassemble a large portion of the mountain itself in order to repair the damage - as it's not actually the yeti himself that's damaged, he was literally SO heavy that between that and his repeated movements it essentially cracked the foundations of the ride.
I noticed that projection on top of Tom Sawyer's Island has been removed. I hope that this projection effect might return when Fantasmic returns in May 24, 2024.
it sucks to see murphy catch on fire. was there any info about how long it would take to fix him, or if they were just going to retire him due to how bad the damage was??
I'll never get over the stupidity of making Murphy breath real fire and not lining Murphy's skin with fire resistant material. Her death could've been totally preventable.

I experienced the Luigi tire effect at the OBB this past October!
I love how there's three different random nuns walking around in the archive footage, lol.
Question 🙋♀️ please 🙏 Fastpass Facts, I wonder 💭 why and how Cars Land saved California Adventure? Do you know?
i rly miss the exchanted Tiki room.
I haven’t seen the first Walt Disney World version of Snow White’s Scary Adventures, because I wasn’t born until 1991.
I have never experienced Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at either Disneyland or Walt Disney World yet.
Yeah I was wondering why the cannons in Rise of the Resistance weren't moving. Disney should find another way to have Juan the Barker Bird at the Tiki Room, and Disney, PLEASE KEEP THE TIKIS!
Yes! Bring back eye on the globe!!

I’d really like one of these for Disneyland Paris!
Yo! That snow white ride looked awesome just was in the wrong place!
Some of the older footage you showed of Snow White was from the WDW version that opened in 1971. Just FYI. It was before you mentioned MK.
It ruins the lore without it)
that dragon was awesome
I have faith in Murphy!! He'll be back! My biggest issue with a broken animatronic, the Yeti at Expedition Everest! Sigh, I don't think he'll ever be himself again. At least we have the Harold yeti at the bobsleds in Disneyland though.
From what I understand, the issue with the yeti is they'd have to disassemble a large portion of the mountain itself in order to repair the damage - as it's not actually the yeti himself that's damaged, he was literally SO heavy that between that and his repeated movements it essentially cracked the foundations of the ride.
FOUND SECRET LILLY BELLE AT 30 SECONDS (I absolutely adore her design)
I noticed that projection on top of Tom Sawyer's Island has been removed. I hope that this projection effect might return when Fantasmic returns in May 24, 2024.
How are you still finding these it’s been like nine years
Cannons were working in early February for my trip.
Every trip we start our trip on small world
The Mickey and Roger fountains are still at Tokyo Disneyland's Toontown.
it sucks to see murphy catch on fire. was there any info about how long it would take to fix him, or if they were just going to retire him due to how bad the damage was??
4:38 Did you say "Disney has removed these Knott's"?
