I chose to make beef with pork (the traditional) but you can use any meat you like.

Hi from South Africa I would recommend adding worstershire sauce like we do here.
I also want to add we never smoked boerewors we braai (bbq) it over wood fire yes but never presmoke it like you guys do sausages in the USA even if we buy it here it's completely raw not presmoked I'm disappointed that you did that as this in very inaccurate to our way of cooking our beloved wors.

Stuffing with grinder does work but better quality product is made with a dedicated stuffer (doesn't overwork the forcemeat).

Thank you can you freeze casings l bought a lot.
Casings usually come preserved in salt. If this is the case only refrigerator will be ok. If you have the means to vacuum seal them, that will be the best!! Thanks for your message

the one I use is a Kitchen Aid!!
Never smoked my sausages but it gets smoked anyway when you braai them with wood or brickets. Please no gas, then you might as well fry them on the stove or in the oven.I live in kangaroo land and they only use gas( for lazy people)
You should watch two guys and a cooler and see how he makes boerewors.
You need to add ice in the mix before you put in castings

for the fat the original proper Boerewors calls for skaap vet (sheep fat) precisely grass fed sheep on karro grass !
a bit difficult to find those ingredients here in the US🙃

Hello friend, thank you for your comment, yes you are right, this is one of my firsts efforts in editing a video and as you can see, not a very good one as well. Also TH-cam took away some of the music from the video because of copyrights and that took away some of the instructions as well... I think I will have to edit the video again. I appreciate your comments!!
