The fact that Jaiden has Protagonist's bad luck curse and Jacob has Side Character's blessed luck makes the video even more funnier
They balance each other out pretty well in that area.

But she made it.
One thing I did notice was that even though Jacob(Alpharad) was luckier through the whole run and also killed more valuable team assets, Jaiden apologizes to him for what she did for mistakes even though it was like 2-3 crucial mistakes. She also does not seem very salty when he does get incredibly lucky, making her a very wholesome person even when making the animation. Bless Jaiden's heart man.
Jacob was luckier but at the end of the day he don't even use the pokemon that he catches ..

Eh, but he wasn't only luckier with encounters, he was also luckier with enemy team match ups. Every time.

Jacob just does whatever he feels like in the moment. Especially if he feels like it'd make for entertaining content.
In all fairness, he didn’t get to use most of his good Pokemon, and we basically never got to hear what they said when he kept killing them.
When Jaiden does any Nuzlocke it’s a whole lot different than any other TH-camr’s playthrough’s

@@ACESENTAIL Jan repeatedly says he dislikes adrive because he promotes energy drinks to his child audience. I believe on Twitter Jan said he dm’d adrive a large paragraph about his experiences with energy drinks and why promoting gfuel is extremely harmful and Dan just replied with two lines which really upset Jan. Since then they sometimes jab one another on Twitter or on stream

Makes me a little sad this is the last one, because I would have loved to see one for Black/White. No disrespect though, I understand animating is an absolute bitch and a half, especially when you are not passionate about what you are making. Just B/W has some epic moments that would have been downright amazing if she animated them.

the character arc of dillydoo was great: at first thought to be death fodder but finished the palkia without even being a salame- dragon type, what a chad sea lily.
What I love is they also combining two Pokémon names as well and it's pretty interesting idea. 21:08 love the Celebi watch.
I started a Pokemon Diamond/Pearl SoulLink with my brother, inspired from Jaiden's video. (We didn't randomize the Pokemon) but we caught a Geodude/Zubat pair in the Oreburgh gate which we fused the names together to create "Zude"

@@cobaltssfans Unfortunately, Zude died today. My Zubat got crit one shot and in Gen 4, crits do x2 damage instead of x1.5. That hurt because my team now is Prinplup, Geodude, and Psyduck and we are about to go up against the grass type gym... My Prinplup knows Peck, and I'm banking on that to get me through

21:25 even though cradily does get storm drain in this gen, storm drain doesn't make the pokemon immune to water type moves only instead making them perfectly accurate against to pokemon with storm drain.

As someone who heard the anime movie regirock sound effects ONCE and then NEVER FORGOT THEM, I appreciate the inclusion of the regirock noises.
...a thought occurs. Is this the only Gen where your rival is not only an asshat, but an _actual_ criminal? Normally your rivals that are snarky are still law-abiding (or mostly law-abiding - looking at you, Bede), but this is the only one I can think of that pulls a Team Rocket and steals the pokemon.

I would just like to say that jaiden and jacob spent a long time with a plant type on both teams at the same time

So let me preface this by saying its based on no facts and just sort of a hunch/curiosity.
I've always kind of wondered if there was some sort of beef between Adrive and Pokémon Challenges, PC reacts to like every poketubers content seemly except adrive and I've always found that odd.
In this video, when they bring up PC the first time, adrives body language kind of changes and he get quiet like he's uncomfortable.
I'm well aware I could be reading way far into this and overthinking/overanalizing it, but I can't help but feel thats not the case.
I'm just curious to know what the deal is, if anything at all.
From my understanding, Jan had criticized Adrive once on the fact that he was advertising Gfule (an energy drink brand) to his audience which is largely made up of younger kids. Energy drinks are notoriously unhealthy for peoples kidneys, and would be especially bad to be introduced to at a young age. Hence why Jan saw it as an issue.
I guess they argued about it and because of that they’re not too friendly to eachother. But that’s all as far as I know. Not everyone’s going to get along and agree on things, so it’s whatever.

I'd have Mankey and Aipom, I have a Monkey-theme with all my Pokèmon, while my sister focuses on Fish\Whale\Shark Pokèmon; we're Double Battle Duo Donovan and Tiffanie, but she is RIDICULOUS TO WORK WITH!!!
Heartgold was my first Pokémon game, and idiot me didn’t understand that ‘identifying him’ meant I could name him myself, so I left it blank and his name was SOUL. Cool, but unintentionally so. 3:45

Yes it gets storm drain, but in gen 4 that doesn't make you immune. yes you get the sp attack boosted by one stage and draw in the water moves, but isn't immune to it

I'm actually playing a Pokemon emerald randomizer and the starters were Bayleef, dewgong, and magicarp. I tried old carp first but you literally can't progress. 🤣 I had the time out the zigzagoon fight and may just pile drived me. So I went with bay leaf and just caught a Wartortle.
When I first played heart gold, it was my first game. I had heard of older games but never played them. I named the rival "Red" because I though that the developers brought him back...

In gen 4 stormdrain doesnt provide imunity nor a boost by water attacks it only pulls the attack to the stormdrain owner.

I'd love to say the catch rate thing was a problem for me when I came across god himself on my own randomised Soul Silver thing I'm doing for my own fun, but I had like 59 pokeballs, he got into the 4th or 3rd one, I didn't edit the catch rate setting
Considering Jaidens troubles with legendaries, i think its fair that Alpharat gets the more challenging team for 5 battles when he gets the best luck ALL journy.
To be fair, in randomizers the wild encounters and random Trainer Pokemon can be fully evolved and give much more exp.

Playing normal I swept the entirety of the elite four with the team Team Four Star had for their nuzlocke, even managed to keep my flaffy alive gave Meganium earthquake and became unstoppable

I did the first couple times I played the game when I was like 5. Didn't understand that I had to give him an actual name. But gold was my first pokemon game.
After I first saw Jaiden's video I decided to start my own SoulSilver Nuzlocke.
Soon as I step out of Union cave, it starts raining, and I am very confused... Til I step into the grass and am immediately greeted by Kyogre. My starter was a Dragonite, so I am able to get a Thunderwave on him... Then I catch him on my second POKE ball.
So yes... Living the highlife over here.

Yes I literally named my rival ??? Whenever I played pokemon gold when I was younger because in game the text is "my name's ???" and I didn't realize that that meant you could name him whatever you want so he was ??? for the whole game. I didn't play through Jhoto again until HGSS came out and he was referred to as 'passerby boy' in stead that I realized that his name wasn't ??? and you were meant to name him yourself.
I feel like it was a good soul lock but I with they showed what types there Pokemon were
