Good video, I still think that Intune still needs to improve the level of reporting and be customizable, without having to go to Azure, I think it should be something built-in in the Intune console. Keep up the good work with these videos, thank you.
I think you're being too generous and amenable... MS have been promising improved OOB reporting for Intune for years! I'm still waiting... it's actually woeful. Compared to competing MDM solutions (which are not great themselves) they get reporting OOB done right. I should not have to go and 'create' just basic reports for my managers using Graph and Log analytics... I used Workspace One briefly at another employer - which sure has its oddities but the way it did AI analytics coupled with reporting is something MS should be really having a look at! MS don't seem to understand that many IT Senior managers (including my own) are actually reluctant to completely switch to Intune because the legacy On prem tools just do reporting better AND quicker - I suppose we should just stick to using the other Asset management tools like ServiceNow among others. Cool video though and I'll give it a try at some stage - keep up the good work!
Too right, I have requested this of MS, they have been promising simplified reporting in Intune - but it never materializes. Now with the deprecation of Log analytics agent with the Azure monitor agent - there's another song and dance just to get a basic report going. Reporting and dashboards is pretty basic requirement these days to NOT have it OOB built into Intune is a serious oversight.
Is there any Azure costs to this solution? I just ask as I know you have to pay extra for the Intune Advanced Analytics, this feels like a step towards that?
What are the implications of this reporting when using the Azure monitor agent instead of the Log analytics agent? Is there a big difference operationally?
Love your Intros Steve !!! Makes me laugh every time !
Thanks! The whole "Intune" thing is really just a front for me to do some standup.
@@getrubix I'd buy a reasonable priced ticket to see that...

Great video Steve, I have set this up but my Storage query bit of my workspace is not populating any data.
Did you make any chance to the script ?
I did not

You need a subscription to create the log analytics. I'm not 100% sure what the cost is.
I am 1:42 in an already learned something! How did I never see that!!

The original log analytics agent is being deprecated.
@@getrubix yes I know by August 2024, thus my question on the differences if any..
