Here is my write up for those not on FB. Lee Auto BreechLock Pro, final draft Lee has recently released a new progressive press that has some potential for shooters who want to produce larger amounts of ammunition than can be done on a single stage or a turret press. The Auto Breach Lock Pro comes as a bare bones machine. You will also need a set of dies, a shell plate, and a means of measuring your powder. With just those items you can produce high quality ammunition at a good rate. With a Midway price of just $109 it is very cost effective. If you add the bells and whistles that are available you can increase the speed to keep up with most other progressives. For those on a limited budget this is good, so you can get started cheep, and add the other items later, as funds become available. If this is your first press you can use it as a single stage tool. I tested this with Lee dies, 38 Special, 4.0 grains Bullseye, Winchester WSP primers, 148 grain cast bullet. It would probably do better with jacketed bullets but I don’t shoot many of those. Setup is simple and straight forward. I mounted mine on a Lee Bench Plate so I can move it to my classroom or I can just use that space in my Reloading Room for different machines. Just be sure to mount it securely as any press generates leverage. Lee provides good instructions as well as some videos on their website. Once mounted, install the shell plate, then setup your resizer/decaper die in station 1. Adjust it to make firm contact with shell plate. I used the Lee dies from my old Pro-1000. This machine is equipped with the Breach Lock system to make die changes fast and simple. I also added a Hornady light strip to the left hand post to help my old eyes see into the shadows. Dead primers are handled well, they go into a flexible hose that can be used as is, or you can feed it into a container. I ran mine into an old shipping tube. Station 2 is where you find the priming tool. This is similar to those found on Lee’s turret and single stage presses. Primers can be hand fed, one at a time. This is also your expander and powder station. With the Lee Powder Through Die you can feed in your fuel from any off press measuring device. A powder dispenser, measure or even Lee’s dippers can be used, though I suggest also using Lee’s funnel as it fits the die perfectly. Any case activated, powder measure will also work. Adjust the expander before adding your chosen powder tool. Station 3 is bullet seating. If you choose you may crimp here as well. Station 4 is for the final crimp. This is optional if you did this job in Station 3. I prefer the Lee Factory Crimp Die. The first optional item that I added was a Lee Disk Powder measure in Station 2. I have had problems with the chain return system so I installed the Lee spring return. No problems. After running a few dozen rounds through the machine to familiarize myself with the operation and test everything I started adding options. Next was the primer feed. I had an old round hopper primer feed from a turret press but that would not feed well. I got the new triangular hopper version and it worked much better. The Universal Case Feeder was next. It requires some tweaking but works well. The only complaint is that it will occasionally drop cases on the floor, particularly when the tube is down to the last few cases. The final item is the bullet feeder. The only problem was in getting the correct version. My 148 grain cast wadcutter hung up on the opening so required one designed for the longer bullets. After that was resolved, it worked well. After each addition to the machine I ran a few dozen rounds through it to make sure it was working properly. After it was all finished i ran 200 rounds through it with no real problems. Conclusions For those reloaders on a tight budget this machine has possibles. The basic machine is simple to learn and run. The other goodies can be added as budget and need dictate. It is limited to short cases only, but will do almost any handgun round. It will not work with most rifle cartridges. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lee drops the Pro-1000 in the near future, this machine is that much better. Don’t expect to get the trouble free operation of a Hornady or Dillion from this press, you get what you pay for. If your budget won’t reach the high end machines you can do well with this one. No, I won’t be selling my Hornady.
Thanks JCM45, Ya so far im stoked and really loving this press. I also found this deal and its a steal for what you get plus they upgraded some of these features onto this turret press ads.midwayusa.com/product/622290/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index-value-kit?Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses&cm_mmc=pf_ci_connexity-_-Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses-_-Lee-_-622290#
just got mine yesterday, very straightforward. all assembeled pulled out my .38 /.357 dies in their breech locks, quarter turn and in, measurements at each station just as they were on my single stage. Then I was ready to go until I looked for primers. uh, oh/ off to my lgs. I will be firing it up later this afternoon. so far two thumbs up (I will report after the first batch is completed.
Paulie thats great brother! Im always all ears for others experience in this press. Im currently in the process of a home purchase and in between living in a travel trailer and this press and the value turret are the two presses I chose to take with. Im very happy with this press. Some find the extra step of priming to be a hassle and turning point for not buying. But personally I feel its a positive way to know each round is made to your standards. I find this press to have the ability for each cartridge the attention needed like a single stage but in a progressive. Excited to hear your out come! come join us www.TheReloadersNetwork.com many are chatting it up in our messaging app using Slack. details on how to setup in the web link
Here we are 1 yr later, and I preordered my APP press from Titan Reloading and wait patiently for it to arrive . Lee says they are going to resume shipping them on the 7th , I hope so! So here I sit watching reloading videos. I subbed your channel here and over at the Reloaders Network too in the mean time :) Very well done video, The camera work and explanations were top notch.
This looks like a great improvement over the pro 1000. if you want to use it on larger cases try the 45 acp shell plate. I believe it will work for 30-06 family of cartridges.
I have noticed a "bow" in the case feed arm (plastic ramp that sits over steel arm that the case feeder operates on) on my auto breech lock pro, leaving the handle in the normal up position seems to cause it with the new spring system for the case feed, I recommend leaving the handle down on this press, or possibly gluing the plastic ramp down, or drilling a tiny hole through the bottom 90deg ridge that sits on the metal and wrapping a wire through it and around the metal, if that makes sense, this will suck the plastic ramp down onto the metal and make it flat, hasnt been an issues with 45acp, but 9mm 40 and 223 have all had case feeding issues and when i suck that "bow" down flat it fixed all the case feed issues I was having, plus it just made the press noticeably smoother. Thank you for your wonderful videos just wanted to let you know what I found, I love this press otherwise, I have lots of upgrades and tuning in mind for this
Hey eagle eye, i like it. When i first saw the press on lee’s website i was kinda disappointed in the plastic as well and thought a turret on top would have been great for all the people already using the classic turret press. With that said im still a Lee fan and i believe its gonna be a great press. Hope it gives you years of faithful service my friend!!
Hey Georgiaboy Thank You brother! Ya my concerns of breaking some parts maybe a little over I called lee and replacement parts are just a postage stamp. Imma order a #2 shell plate and see if itll have some full length rifle cartridges 3006. Thanks for watching!
Looks like a nice piece of equipment at a good price point, though I really wish that Lee would revamp that primed dispenser. I've had nothing but issues with two of them (often fail to dispense a primer). A primer system a bit more like what's on their other progressive presses would definitely be welcome.
It looks like a nice press . It looks as if it operates the same as the standard turret press except it does 4 stations at once . Thanks for the review .
Thank you for the very informative video. I already have five Lee presses that cover everything I want to do but I've been very interested in this press anyway. I think it would be great for a lot of people starting out who want one press to do just about everything and aren't in a huge hurry. It seems to fit a sweet spot between a single stage and a progressive press, in many ways better than the turret press. It looks like Lee continues to refine and improve their design. Lots of very Innovative features on this press. It sucks that TH-cam's content policy makes it almost impossible to fully demonstrate a reloading press. What a stupid policy.
Very well said, Touche! With the current deals going on being just over 100$ It's a steal. Like you mentioned a press for those starting that you can grow into. Thanks for watching!
Are you loading 300BO ? Q re she’ll plates. Does the .223 work for 9mm, .45 for 308 and 3006, 44 for 44 special, 38 for 357 etc? Or do you have to buy a separate for each caliber, midwayusa lists one for each, which can be kinda spendy
45 acp shell plate will work for 30-06 , 308 . or any case based off of the 30-06/308 case . also 9mm and 40 sw are the same . look at shellholders and you will find more cases that will interchange .
Really Nice Job on the video. I own 4 presses of various brands and I am continually amazed at the quality and value of Lee presses. I am pretty sure my next one will be a Lee. I use and love the dies and many of the other products dies, lead pot and molds etc. I just never have bought a press,, yet
Pretty neat set up. It looks like it cures a lot of the issues of the Pro-1000, and may be an alternative for the LM. The only thing I don't like off hand is the breach lock system, I personally prefer the die plates that the turret press, LM and Pro-1000 use, but then that's what I started with and am used to.
Right on. If there is any thing I can do to help, please don't hesitate. I hope to earn your sub and help you get the best Performance out of your firearm. Check out Thereloadersnetwork.com lots of good info there with many of the yT authors in case YT decides to take your favorite gun channels down
Given the press I have already I'm probably not gonna be in a hurry to buy this one . However I would like to own one of their old Turret presses. something tells me the price is about to drop on those on eBay by quite a bit . Yay for me
They actually came out with a value turret press which has more room for indexing. Spent primer catcher like this and this updated primer arm This value kit is a steal for what you get ads.midwayusa.com/product/622290/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index-value-kit?Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses&cm_mmc=pf_ci_connexity-_-Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses-_-Lee-_-622290#
Eagle Eye Shooting having checked that link, I am sure that everybody would get the price you got rather than the four hole turret. my set up isn't perfect but I am very happy with it. I've got some modifications that I'm going to do 20 my loadmaster tool heads help it with 300 blackout . After I test that I will probably make a video showing what I did . The same fixes would make it nicer for 223 as well .
Hi, great review .... waiting for it so much . Can you tell us how convenient the bullet seating is? Looks like the bullet seating station is a bit hard to reach? And is there a sort of bending with all stations in use?
Thx joe for watching. If you setup the bullet seating die according to lee recommendation on the manual @ station 3 there isn't a problem seating bullets by hand. I can contest that this press does have a lot of room compared to the pro 1000 and classic 4 hole turret so you can pick any station and get to ur cases. Also with a solid bench the press feels solid even with all 4 occupied. I would say the Loadmaster is a lil more ridged but the price point wouldn't justify the features on this press so far. I plan on doing a comprehensive review in a few. I also want to try progressive reloading 30-06. I think it has enough room Heres a photo to show how much room this press has. Its a 30-06 case ontop of the shell plate: 3006 on Breech lock pro imgur.com/a/s2KfO
Great review!! Thanks for sharing!! But what caliber are you loading? Could you reloading. 308 with The removing of The index Rod? Whats The distance between she shellplate and The toolhead? And I really hope lee make a shellplate for 45-70.
Thanks Anders for watching. I actually think this press has enough clearance to index a 30-06 case if you position your bullet seating die @ stage 4. Heres a pic of the case ontop of the shell plate. I ordered a #2 to verify this. If lee ever makes a #8 plate for this I think 45-70 would work. If not check out Lees 2018 Value 4 hole turret. It has the upgraded features like this press 30-06 on press: 3006 on Breech lock pro imgur.com/a/s2KfO Lee Value Turret: www.midwayusa.com/product/880135/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index
It can but not recommended to use if you need to resize. If you plan on using it to load 308. Brass prep the cases first and use a rcbs gold medal match die or the frankford arsenal universal bullet seating die to allow room for the projectile
Very nice overview, thanks! I think Im going to stay with the LCT press for now. I cant walk and chew gum so this thing looks like trouble for me LOL. Keep up the good work.
TreeTopFlier, I thought I had subbed you "using the yt app" It sometimes double taps lol. Your channel was mentioned a lot on Bacon's channel and CrazyScotsman. What I find very useful is seeing others points on this awesome art. I got lots of catching up to do. Thx brother!
Hey Richard. No you can mount this press directly to the table. You'll need about a 2 inch overhang though to slightly notch for the ram clearance. If you can I highly recommend the 7 1/2 inline fab mount you can mount that any place on the bench is a very very sturdy
The turret press single stage is just a phenomenal press. All my precision loads are done on that lol. There are some talks about discontinuing that press but I doubt that. Many folk use it like you an I... its just to popular not to mention I buy a timing gear at least twice a year haha
An S hook, and a 16 ounce bank sinker eliminate the need for the chain on the powder measure. It works so well for me I will never put the chain back on my Pro 1000.
Awsome idea! What about if it hangs up on a grain when using long extruded powders? This is a perfect idea for spherical. Need a positive return for powders like H4895
I'm geeked that you made this. I've been googling every day for reviews as I'm trying to decide between the classic turret and this. I still can't decide!!!
I can contest the turret press is just awsome. So far for 20$ more you get a press that you can grow into gotta put it through its paces before I reccomend this press over the turret. Downsides. Shellplate cost vs shellholder
Yea I want something to do .45acp .38/357 .40S&W .223 and .30carbine in moderate amounts (100-200) rds per week. I've been doing everything on my rock chucker and for pistol using the fcd, it takes too long.I figured that if I buy the classic turret I could always get a Dillon in the future. I hate making decisions! I honestly don't see Lee discontinuing the classic turret like FC said.
30ROUNDCLIPAZINE, I found this deal on Midway its a steal for what you get and it utilizes some of the updated features like this press ads.midwayusa.com/product/622290/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index-value-kit?Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses&cm_mmc=pf_ci_connexity-_-Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses-_-Lee-_-622290#
If you are going to have one, it should be the LCT. It loads everything, but not progressive, but rather semi progressive. Caliber changes are cheap and a snap, but yet a solid press that can handle any cartridge (other than 50)
I currently have a single stage with .300 Blackout dies. I want to buy one of these but am not sure of what else is needed other than the #4 shell plate. Would my lee perfect powder measure (basic) work? What shell dispenser(s), bullet feeder(s), etc are needed?
Hey brother thx for watching and your interest. About the Lee Perfect Powder Measure (PPM) the answer is YES! and works dang good. Basically you'll need the Rifle/pistol or buy the kit (90995) die and the Lee Riser (90041) The PPM threads right in. As far as the automatic cartridge dispenser lee made a universal case feeder tube (90242) its an interesting system as you can fit lil bushings to have multiple calibers in the tube stacks. Its a great system add on for this press. The bullet feeders are available for pistol bullets only atm. You'll need to make sure your bullets (projectiles them selfs) don't exceed the max OAL of the bullet feeder die Lee does make different lengths to accommodate the same calibers. For Rifle you'll have to get a system like the Mr.Bullet feeder system which is $$$. Hope this helps! See my quick tip loading on the Breech Lock Pro which im showing the 300AAC in action. LMK if anything else I can help with. Happy loading brother! -Kenny
Hey Blake! Still use this press to load pistol. Ive had to change out the red overlay on the carrier twice so far due to cases smashing it on the case feeder. I still feel the priming system is the best out of all there progressive presses. Just did a video recently (A Lead Journey - Why Is Casting Worth Doing?) Showing this press in smooth action near the end
@@mblake0420, the Red plastic that is molded over the carrier assembly and what the shell plate rotates on. I made a video while back on the disassembly of this press
Thanks a bunch for the video! I’ve been using a classic turret for a while. I’ve been wanting to upgrade to a progressive but the pro 1000 only has 3 stations and my Glock likes a taper crimp. Fingers crossed pewtube moderators leave us alone, because this vid is definitely helpful. Thanks again:)
Yes its plastic but not like the Pro1000. Seems robust and more of a gear rachet system. Kinda like the spider gears in a rear differential. heres an up close photo: Lee Breelock Pro Index system imgur.com/a/AjCQy3L
Press + Shell plate = $150 Safety Prime = $25+ Set of (4) Dies = $45+ Powder dispenser = $40+ It looks like this press is knocking on the door of the Load Master and $50 more than the Pro1000. It is close to what people paid to set up a CCT Press if you bought everything individually. The Classic Cast Press has had strong positive reviews for being simple and reliable. The downside being (600) pulls per hour to make (150) cases. This press will make (600) with the same (600) pulls... Nice ! The 'Normal' set up is to add powder in Station #2. Can you visually see it okay ? You fill the case in #2 UP stroke and it ends up in position #3 when the shell plate gets back down.
Ya to each there own. Unless you know how to shop for deals. Bid on amazon gift cards from legit sellers and you'll be saving some dough. For those who already built there Lee lineup and have the Powder Dispenser and saftey prime this may be a cheaper option than a loadmaster. Also shell plates and turrets add on the price. How ever I did find this and its a steal for what you get (includes autodrum) plus you get the upgraded benefits www.midwayusa.com/product/622290/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index-value-kit
That is a good point. If I want a Pro1000 I end up with spare dies if I already have them from a Single Stage setup. The same with a Load Master. I do like the ability to use the press for case prep. The Breech Lock system lets you deprime before cleaning on a progressive press. I size & deprime revolver brass before cleaning. The Universal flaring tool with NOE insert would be nice in the second position so your brass is all sized & ready after cleaning. I hand prime as I inspect each case so this would work good for me.
I believe this press to be less "quirky" than my Loadmaster. Since I already have the dies and powder measure, all I need in addition to the press is a shell plate and the priming system. I also like the idea of loading .30-06 based cartridges with a manual advance. My Loadmaster has priming issues with 9x19, so I envision using the Auto Breech Lock for loading the nine. I will probably keep the Loadmaster set for large primer calibers and move all small primer cartridges to this machine.
@@EagleEyeShooting as you took it out of the box. it look to me like someone return the press after using it. things look used, package was opened. the shell plates seemed dirty. i could be wrong, if it works and it's all there, guess it matters not.
Big Poppa, hey brother i actually legitly like this press. i brought this one with me over the others in my travel trailer to reload. i have loaded bulk 9mm and 223 with it and works great. With the 223 i have the pistol case feeder mounted onto the one provided. it's taller for more support and i individually case feed through the hole. for precision loads i use my turret but i don't see why this wouldn't work either. One negative is if you store the press with handle up it will separate the red over lay on the case feed and carrier. Some epoxy will remedy it
I no longer use that bench but I added two 3/4 inch laminated plywood. Typically used for making drawers. Can order through home depot. My current bench is a butcher block style made from stacked 2x4's plained flat
Measure In Grains, Wow thats a deal haha. I was thinking of selling my old classic turret to get this one. This is a steal for what you get and it has the updated feature ads.midwayusa.com/product/622290/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index-value-kit?Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses&cm_mmc=pf_ci_connexity-_-Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses-_-Lee-_-622290#
Still working great. However if small ball powder gets between the shell plate and carrier it indents the plastic. This is what I thought would happen. I emailed Lee and they said not to worry it wont affect function.... here's a pic. Your thoughts? Lee Breech Lock Pro. Powder between shell plate damage imgur.com/a/6C2UqDL
i dont think its anything to worry about and its definitely not a deal breaker for me. you could try putting a piece of aluminum foil under the shell plate

Eagle Eye Shooting I had my friend get one of the older lee turret presses I forget exactly which version it was but I has the nice compound leverage so I think it's the newer style . He primarily got it to reload 308 223 and 300 blackout . Annoyingly with 308 once he placed a projectile that doesn't have clearance to rotate .I was kinda shocked at that. still a nice press and a huge step up from the single stage she would've gotten if you listen to other friends . But I can't see any justification for not giving it a half-inch more travel . I do 30 aught 6 six on my loadmaster with no problem
Haha ya It sure looks ugly but it seems they sacrificed some aesthetics like red powder coat for better functionality. Honestly This bottom base is solid unlike the cast aluminum bases of the past. Thx for watching!
That's awesome to here others find this press a good piece of equipment as well. I actually do not have a FaceBook. I stay far away from that evil that surrounds that platform as well as the other social media.. except of course here on YT. I cannot find your TH-cam channel?
Loading .308 win is a p.i.a. on this press. Too bad Lee didn't engineer it to have more clearance to utilize the auto indexing for 308, 30-06, etc. The Lee turret is much better for reloading rifle.
Bought one. Cheap plastic parts wear out. Especially the case feed ramp. Shipping and handling fee to replace them which I did 10 times. Have paid for this presstwice in parts. Don’t do it
Or, you could look at it as a Lee Classic that does 1 shell per stroke rather than 4 -- with the primer action needed each time. I don't "fiddle with primers" on my Lee Loadmaster because I resize in the priming station .
Here is my write up for those not on FB.
Lee Auto BreechLock Pro, final draft
Lee has recently released a new progressive press that has some potential for shooters who want to produce larger amounts of ammunition than can be done on a single stage or a turret press.
Conclusions
For those reloaders on a tight budget this machine has possibles.
Thanks Eagle Eye. I've been hoping that someone would be doing a review on this press soon. Cool that you were able to get the first one!
Thanks JCM45, Ya so far im stoked and really loving this press. I also found this deal and its a steal for what you get plus they upgraded some of these features onto this turret press

just got mine yesterday, very straightforward. all assembeled pulled out my .38 /.357 dies in their breech locks, quarter turn and in, measurements at each station just as they were on my single stage.
Excited to hear your out come! come join us

many are chatting it up in our messaging app using Slack. details on how to setup in the web link
I believe it will work for 30-06 family of cartridges.
awsome thanks for confirming. Just ordered the #2 shell plate. Hope this video helped get some insight on this press. Thanks for the sub and watching!
Eagle Eye Shooting , cant beat Lee’s customer service either. Cant wait to see all the fun you have with it. Take care.
Looks like a nice piece of equipment at a good price point, though I really wish that Lee would revamp that primed dispenser. I've had nothing but issues with two of them (often fail to dispense a primer). A primer system a bit more like what's on their other progressive presses would definitely be welcome.
Psyko Klown, haha ya that was my biggest issue on the pro1000. So far this saftey prim system seems to be 100 times better on this press
Notice if it's constructed different? Or do you think it's how it's positioned on the press? It's problematic on my classic turret.
Its constructed differently in how it pivots and engages to prime. So far no problems dispensing primers.
Cool video goes
How's it holding up after 2 years? Any regrets?
Not at all, I use it on a daily and added a auto bullet feeder system. Really cranks out ammo.
instagram.com/p/B-5OJ2zpaXw/?igshid=1iam8jlujyezj
Pretty neat set up. It looks like it cures a lot of the issues of the Pro-1000, and may be an alternative for the LM. The only thing I don't like off hand is the breach lock system, I personally prefer the die plates that the turret press, LM and Pro-1000 use, but then that's what I started with and am used to.
forge52100, I agree. I have a video that is uploading ATM with an inside look at the 2018 Lee Value Turret Press compared to this.
Thank you for the video, I'm thinking about taking the plunge!
Yay for me
Ya you got a great setup im jealy Lolz. I needed a progressive that will handle .223 and 300aac reliable. My pro 1000 just was not working
They actually came out with a value turret press which has more room for indexing. Spent primer catcher like this and this updated primer arm
This value kit is a steal for what you get
ads.midwayusa.com/product/622290/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index-value-kit?Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses&cm_mmc=pf_ci_connexity-_-Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses-_-Lee-_-622290#
That comment is obsolete now!, as is this whole train of discussion. Though, I am tempted to get an eye on ebay to look for turrets.
Thanks for the vid! Best one I've seen on this machine
Thanks! Much appreciate that. Any questions on it let me know. Id be glad to help
Hi,
great review .... waiting for it so much .
I think it has enough room
Heres a photo to show how much room this press has. Its a 30-06 case ontop of the shell plate:
3006 on Breech lock pro imgur.com/a/s2KfO
Excellent, thanks!
It has the upgraded features like this press
30-06 on press:
3006 on Breech lock pro imgur.com/a/s2KfO
Lee Value Turret:
www.midwayusa.com/product/880135/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index
Can this press load .308? I have heard but not confirmed it cannot. The plate is the same as for a .45 ACP.
Haha that's a funny analogy. Thanks for checking it out brother!
Found you through the Reloader Network and subbed. LoB has done a great thing.
Can't see the fourth stage....unbelievable! Sorry you have to go thru this stupidity. Great press!! Thanks for the information and time.
Do you have to buy the base plate to use this or mount it????
Hey Richard. No you can mount this press directly to the table. You'll need about a 2 inch overhang though to slightly notch for the ram clearance. If you can I highly recommend the 7 1/2 inline fab mount you can mount that any place on the bench is a very very sturdy
great vid, thanks so much! I love Lee products, and do half of my reloading on turret presses...
The turret press single stage is just a phenomenal press. All my precision loads are done on that lol. There are some talks about discontinuing that press but I doubt that. Many folk use it like you an I... its just to popular not to mention I buy a timing gear at least twice a year haha
Your new press look great I hope you enjoy it my Freind
30ROUNDCLIPAZINE, I found this deal on Midway its a steal for what you get and it utilizes some of the updated features like this press
ads.midwayusa.com/product/622290/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index-value-kit?Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses&cm_mmc=pf_ci_connexity-_-Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses-_-Lee-_-622290#
That is a great value. Thanks brother.

@@EagleEyeShooting Guess what Santa Wife got me for Christmas...
Do you think they’ll make this in a turret model? I have a classic cast, it would make the Change over so easy.
they actually have and it includes the upgraded features here
leeprecision.com/4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index.html
just ordered my set up from titan yesterday.
I really an impressed with this press. Share some thought on what you think here
www.TheReloadersNetwork.com and find me under the authors tab
Looks great. Really nice video, thanks for sharing.
Year later, hows it doing?
@@EagleEyeShooting can you explain what the "red overlay" is
@@EagleEyeShooting would u buy it again?
@@mblake0420, absolutely. I literally just bought another 1 a few minutes ago.
Thanks Jeff, So far im really loving this press. I managed to make 550 rounds of 300aac last night in about 2 hours
Interesting. Now to find someone to buy my Loadmaster.
Hi Chuck, are you still around? What do you not like about your Loadmaster press?
R, Steve
If you still have it. How much you want for it?
Looks like it's hard to put the bullet in the case with it being in the back and u have to reach around to put it in.
You may like this trick. In this video I made. A simple way to circumvent that exact situation:
th-cam.com/video/DJmcxV6JCw4/w-d-xo.html
Does it use the plastic index gear like the pro1000
Yes its plastic but not like the Pro1000. Seems robust and more of a gear rachet system. Kinda like the spider gears in a rear differential. heres an up close photo:
Lee Breelock Pro Index system imgur.com/a/AjCQy3L
Press + Shell plate = $150
Safety Prime = $25+
Set of (4) Dies = $45+
Powder dispenser = $40+
It looks like this press is knocking on the door of the Load Master and $50 more than the Pro1000.
How ever I did find this and its a steal for what you get (includes autodrum) plus you get the upgraded benefits
www.midwayusa.com/product/622290/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index-value-kit
I have been rolling my eyes thinking about a LM.
looks like a return
? What
@@EagleEyeShooting as you took it out of the box. it look to me like someone return the press after using it. things look used, package was opened. the shell plates seemed dirty. i could be wrong, if it works and it's all there, guess it matters not.
Ahh gotcha, well I actually got this press before it was released for purchase. Just poor packaging
Have you loaded any 223/556 with it yet.
Some epoxy will remedy it
How thick is the plywood on your bench ?
I no longer use that bench but I added two 3/4 inch laminated plywood. Typically used for making drawers. Can order through home depot. My current bench is a butcher block style made from stacked 2x4's plained flat
Finally a review!
Looks awesome. 😁👍

Whats the warranty for this?
Lee backs there products lifetime and all parts unless international negligence is obviously made
hows the press working after a month any issues come up
Still working great. However if small ball powder gets between the shell plate and carrier it indents the plastic. This is what I thought would happen. I emailed Lee and they said not to worry it wont affect function.... here's a pic. Your thoughts?

30_06 is the same as 45 ACP and 308 Winchester
Nice ill have to give the #2 plate a try. So far it looks like it has enough clearance to index a 3006
Eagle Eye Shooting I had my friend get one of the older lee turret presses I forget exactly which version it was but I has the nice compound leverage so I think it's the newer style .
Nice Video
I wonder if Lee’s go was to create the most affordable progressive press on the market, cause it looks a bit Frankensteinie.
Haha ya It sure looks ugly but it seems they sacrificed some aesthetics like red powder coat for better functionality. Honestly This bottom base is solid unlike the cast aluminum bases of the past. Thx for watching!
..max rifle caliber?
You can load 3006 but in manual index mode. However 308 with light to medium grain bullets will progressively index
I did a full review on this machine, it’s a keeper.
My writeup is available on the FB group:

That's awesome to here others find this press a good piece of equipment as well. I actually do not have a FaceBook. I stay far away from that evil that surrounds that platform as well as the other social media.. except of course here on YT.
I cannot find your TH-cam channel?
$106.00 at Midsouth shooters supply
Loading .308 win is a p.i.a. on this press. Too bad Lee didn't engineer it to have more clearance to utilize the auto indexing for 308, 30-06, etc. The Lee turret is much better for reloading rifle.
I agree. The turret press or classic cast is more suitable
Psssst..... 45 acp is 6.5cm 308 3006
Bought one. Cheap plastic parts wear out. Especially the case feed ramp. Shipping and handling fee to replace them which I did 10 times. Have paid for this presstwice in parts. Don’t do it
These things are so cheap, I may buy 1 for everything I load, and leave them set powder drop and all.

A progressive press where you MANUALLY feed primers with each stroke? Are you serious?
tkarlmann, To each there own my friend lol. Beats not knowing if you seated a primer or tinker for hours getting it to work lol
Or, you could look at it as a Lee Classic that does 1 shell per stroke rather than 4 -- with the primer action needed each time.
I don't "fiddle with primers" on my Lee Loadmaster because I resize in the priming station .
it forces you to pay attention to what you are doing not a bad thing in my mind
When buying reloading equipment u always get what you pay for! As far as progressives go it’s Dillon
Big negative Ghost Rider. Dillions are good but all manufacturers have there quirks, which one annoys you less and fits your budget is the dilemma
Hey man whatever blows ur skirt up
I don’t have a TH-cam Chanel.
Lol guess we're opposite
Lee machines suck the are so cheap gaudy and have all this overkill I use the lee single stage o press built like a tank and simple
