About a zillion years ago, three of my four kids kept getting strep throat...over and over. Long story short...it was discovered that my daughter....who NEVER became symptomatic on any level was a strep carrier and had to be treated in spite of being completely well. Back then, the treatment was a very painful anti-biotic injection. Ask me if it ticked her off!! Point of story...everybody in the family needs to be tested (if they haven't been already) just to rule out this unfair situation....according to my now-grown daughter....Oh...and when she got married and moved to her husband's home state and around his family...Many of them got sick with strep....She also apparently also infected them!!

Oh my goodness, she sure knows how to carry strep around!! She’s just WAY TOO GOOD at it!! But not her fault!!

I think continuing through Summer at a reduced pace would give you the benefit of relaxing the coming year..sort of building in some extra time for unplanned days off. Just my thought as a support to your plan or idea. Any of my comments are simply meant to boost your channel and show support for a long distant friend that I hold in my heart. I hope they always come across that way.

I agree, but don’t overload yourself or burn out the kiddos. Maybe take off one whole month off to recuperate, then come back and have school 2 days a week. I’m sure this would help lighten the load !!!

I really like THAT idea!! And I like also what another commenter said! She said she thought it would be good to take an entire month off of no school. To have a complete vacation of no school! I think THAT sounds perfect!

You can be a strep carrier, and give to others. Or you can be a carrier and give it back to yourself. You can be tested to see if you are a carrier and be treated to stop the reoccurrence.

Our son was a strep carrier and still is when we had strep we knew it was from him even though he wasn’t sick. The Pediatrician always treated him when anyone else in the house had strep! Once they figured it out we didn’t have the major outbreaks

To clean the stove things, put them in a garbage bag with ammonia and leave it outside, sealed in the bag, and let the sun do the work. That’s the old school way. Easy off will probably do the job, too. 😊

Oven Brite or Oven Pride or oven cleaner can be pasted on, left for a bit and then wiped off. Its brilliant for stove tops, ovens and bottoms of pans etc.

Change toothbrushes. Have everyone tested at the same time. Also note that vomiting without sore throat and fever is often a sign of strep.

I use the cleaner for glass cook top stoves, with a non scratch scour pad. And a flat razor (that would be used for a glass stove), You must be careful with the razor, keep it flat so you won't scratch the stove, I have successfully cleaned a stove that looked like that with this method.

With all of this talk about how to get foods off the stove, I have a question to anyone out there that thinks they could help me. I accidentally left a really big plastic spoon in the oven ( I have a cat that likes to leap on the counters, so just shoved the spoon into the oven to keep it clean, untill I washed dishes later. ). But, I forgot all about the spoon in oven! 2 or 3 days later I was going to use oven, so turned it on to pre heat. When I opened tha oven, I saw a big gooy mess!! There was just a little on oven floor, that I got off, BUT for the life of me, I CANT get this large amount of plastic goo off the steel rack!! The only solution I see is too put aluminum foil in the bottom of oven, and turn on the oven to see if it will melt off of the rack, and drip down to the foil!! I’m sure sorry this is so long, but I sure do NEED SOME HELP on this matter!! Can anyone help me?? Thanks so VERY much, if u reply back!!

Don’t know for sure, but I do know Bear and Lindal were 5yrs and 8 months, when they began their homeschooling last Sept. So I would think they are finishing up kindergarten, if one goes by their age. That’s just my thoughts on it. But don’t actually know.
