The quilt top looks beautiful! I would go with the mustard thread. Love the contrast against the navy. Your paisleys are just gorgeous - no one can tell your stitch length isn’t perfectly consistent. The texture is just amazing! Your Avenir is stunning. I love the fabric.

A very good couple of weeks! The Avenir jumpsuit is so cute and the cake is adorable. The quilting is going so well and you would have to be very focused to see a problem with stitch length - prints are good for hiding things like that 😁!

Your quilt looks so good, I think the mustard thread on the navy works well, good luck with the quilting, something I would like to try, but not brave enough! I may have to check out Dizzy's quilt as you go tutorials. Congratulations on your sew fruity prize, well deserved. I love your jumpsuit, and the fabric is gorgeous. Fabric envy happening here. I am contemplating purchasing the Serene Jumpsuit pattern, mainly because of the bathroom situation, its always put me off jumpsuits, but this is definitely a great idea. Love the quilt I think the mustard stitching on the navy would look lovely I also did the wiggly stitch on my grandsons quilt from one of your quilts, love the red and green block gorgeous, and the jumpsuit is fabulous xx

The Avenue is gorgeous on you. Well made. I love your quilt too. Great colours. I think the mustard thread would work well for quilting, and would link the templates nicely. The blue might be a bit dominant. Well sewn points!

I love your jumpsuit! I also won a prize and had to buy a few patterns from the flood of beautiful makes on my feed! I won 2 patterns from Paradise Patterns and will get the Hallon dress and Protea pants. I also had to buy the Silversaga Eleonora and Juliette dresses, plus the $5 Friday pattern from Love Notions, the Cadence. I thought it was knit but it’s actually a woven! Lots of options and I may give it a try in knit anyways. These are all new to me companies, looking forward to trying them all soon. I am glad to have new patterns as I have been on a fabric buying rager 😂 I have FOMO from past missed opportunities.

Hi Rachael, I was just admiring your top and then found out its a jumpsuit which I wouldn't wear but yours is lovely Your quilt is gorgeous love the colour combination I would probably go with mustard thread. I'm also doing Izzy's QAYG but need to catch up on the free motion quilting!!! I have just finished a Lyra dress which I am pleased with and have plans to make the Bertha Cardigan. I am also halfway through a Springtime in Quiltsberg Quilt by Emma Bradford getting ready to sew all the blocks together so lots to do. I'm always impressed with how much you manage to sew when you have a young family and work. Look forward to you next vlog x

Hi Rachael, that blue quilt is gorgeous! I know nothing about quilting but I would go mustard?! I'm not doing Izzy's quilting but I was hypnotised watching her do the Paisleys, you did a wonderful job.

That jumpsuit is fab! And your free motion quilting is amazing; what a great design. High contrast fabrics are so great until you have to pick a thread color! LOL. Looking forward to seeing what you decide. :)

Beautifully done jumpsuit! The elastic neckline is a treat! I love how you veer to patterns that have interesting details, like the neck band or the binding or the pockets! It makes your sewing items unique from RTW. Makes it worth sewing! Looks like there are more jumpsuits in the works! Fab! With that in mind…have you seen the Fibremood Alberthe? I’d love to see how that constriction comes together! Happy T-shirt sewing!

Ugh, so sorry about your elbow. I developed golfer’s elbow from tennis. My surgery was called Elna repair and they had to move a nerve. I had a cast that could removed for showering. The surgery was successful and the pain is gone and I have full use of my hand, elbow and arm.
If you can’t actually sew, maybe talk about new patterns, new tools, etc. or take time off, we’ll be here when you return.

Beautiful jumpsuit! Can you remember how much fabric you used? Those T-shirts will be lovely with those Cute labels too. You’re becoming more and more talented by the week with your quilting etc. I like the yellow stitching and look forward to seeing your next exquisite make ❤ xx
Thanks sue!! So I had a look at my order and I got 3m but I think it was only 115cm wide. I assumed it was wider 🤯
So for my size it recommends 3m but that doesn’t account for me wanting to lengthen the legs by 3”… so I could only get 1” out of it. When I make one again if the fabric is that narrow I’d get at least 3.5m.. lesson learned 😂😂

Lovely vlog Rachael. Did you get shortie pjs for your boys from one metre of fabric. I have a lovely metre of planet fabrics and wondered if I could get Henry 6 and Grace 2 matching sets.? I usually use the cordoba set pattern but could use a different one that uses less fabric. I love your Avenir jumpsuit, it really suits you 😊

Your yellow and blue quilt top is gorgeous, if you are putting the plain blue on the back that might help you decide what colour to use as the stitches will show up on that. Your free motion quilting is looking really good, I once followed a lady who said as long as you can’t catch your toe nail in the stitches leave them be. Love your Avenir
