Getting a peteman upload notification is the highlight of my day. Your personality, and commentary makes this exponentially more enjoyable. Would love to catch some streams, do you have a certain time you stream or its just random? Keep it up man ❤
That game was insane. I've never seen someone so happy when other players go after each other. The sheer joy is hilarious! I don't know how you have that much patience. But you pretty much got Australia'd in NA at the start. From what I understood, green got annoyed by white being in Greenland for half the game. So when green went through Africa, I don't think they had anything against yellow. It was just the only route to get to Europe. But then he stuck his stack in Africa... likely to not have it blocked. So I get you were saying it was a dick move to block, but green likely thought he had to do something or else white was just gonna keep getting more troops. I've only watched a few videos, but every game it seems to be about who loses patience first.
Dear Pete, I have been watching your videos for a year now. They have inspired me to get better at Risk. After a long struggle I finally became a Grandmaster! Thanks and keep up the good work.
10:24 i think red was trying to move through you into Asia (admittedly a stupid move) and that’s why he was surprised when you popped it. I’ve seen noobs often try to connect positions disregarding the fact that they lose troops and hinder others in the process. At least with my play-style i’d wait to see if they are actually trying to stop my NA before committing the troops
Even if that was true he has a cheaper line through Scandinavia and Ukraine. They already 9 troops to a 3 and moved to block my bonus, while sitting on a bonus of their own. If I don't deal with that decisively then and there they just get stronger and bully me more.
46:20 negotiations in a risk game often feel more manipulative like self-interested negotiations than true empathy, but i agree that it is the theory of mind aspect that really makes the game interesting.
That was one of the best games I have watched in a while - highly entertaining - appreciated KP for staying in the game and not anger-slamming into green, like I would have done!
Used to getting screwed by the whole board and having absolute trolls screw you even when it means their own lower placement. Nothing worse than getting Newb slammed by a Master ranked opponent, or allies killing you rather than a weaker opponent
When you’re dealing with this type of situation SA player gets their bonus early and is bullying you in NA, what do you do? I feel like the only options are to sue into them with an early set or run to Asia (assuming that no other players are willing to help). I feel I see this type of noob play/greed from the SA player frequently and it often works.
@@TheKillPeteStrategy I see the point, white probably figures they get slammed by green for being the last individual that can card block, thanks Pete.
Do you still find enjoyment in the game after so long of playing it, as I have played multiple games in the past where I have burnt myself out from playing that much
When yellow went bad to white, they should have just moved their stack back into Africa to guide the bot into Europe, right? Bot would have broken white and yellow would have saved his 30 stack.
25:35 missed opportunity to stack on kamchatka to force green into white
edit: this is why pete is a gm and i'm not

So far it's whenever I feel like but I'm looking to set up a schedule soon
The highlight of the game was you slamming the Red 11. You could have lost the game and I would have admired you for that alone. :D
thank you

With mediocre players it does often end up being a patience thing
That was a great game, Pete. For most of the game, it looked like you had no chance 🙂
Dear Pete,
I have been watching your videos for a year now.
They have inspired me to get better at Risk.
After a long struggle I finally became a Grandmaster!
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Congrats on GM bro! Welcome to the ranks
The "Riskies" is what I call a fart after taco bell.
Great. Now I want a soft taco

Define true empathy?
@@TheKillPeteStrategySelf-interested negotiations done with a true understanding of the others' thoughts and desires. 😂

Hahah, that's more of a me-on-my-phone for funzies play
Nothing like pulling it out last minute, that’s a come back. 😉
OMG LOLLLLL

1:11 after recent news sounds funny😂keeping in mind that Pete is from Canada
Green is doing the same thing you did on last fixed game, won’t let anyone have NA when holding SA😂
Except when I can take NA I do so and give up SA
@ yep, which is why white blocking green was messing up the board
I played Bunz once in a random game along time ago. She killed me after I made the stupid mistake of trusting my so-called ally.
OMG classic
How do i set the notifications so i can see when you post a video?? ive been watching you a while now and enjoy the content so thank you 👍
Ignore the question I figured it out lol
I think you were a little hard on blue 😆😆. He added like 2 troops to your bonus just to clear out red.
It was flat for me, there were four troops before there were four troops after. But I can't let blue be there because he'll just keep adding troops
Finally early to a Pete vid, rlly excited to watch love your stuff.
Haven’t played risk in years somehow watching this for the last few hours haha
Glad you like it!

I don’t understand why white kept giving cards to green. Card block seems like the correct play.
Card blocking in fixed is mostly pointless, unless you're trying to get suicided into
@@TheKillPeteStrategy I see the point, white probably figures they get slammed by green for being the last individual that can card block, thanks Pete.
Patience is a virtue and it paid off for you. GG
It often does!

I imagine if I ever stop enjoying it you'll be able to tell in the video
Hour long fixed Friday? Instant like.
Yeeeahhh!

Let's go 🎉 game time
Wearing a black shirt playing black 😂
Consider the spoils ruined
59:59 video length? why not 69:69?
missed opportunities
Easy on the adverts
Shaggy defense
SA noob shell: the mickey mouse
Day 167 of asking Pete to oil up 🤤
Pete Wins (spoiler)
More like prophecy xD
(And I love what you did here, am a fan of your work)
You show too much care about bot placement. The second yellow bots red won the lottery and gets second to me
They both botted, so it doesn’t matter
If the devs don't want to fix their broken system it's all we can do
