Super Mario 3D Land but I AM Mario

Super Mario 3D Land is a relatively simple game, like nearly all other Mario games it's a platformer, requiring you to be able to see all around you. But what if we stripped that away? What the game was played in 1st person? How much harder would things be?

I had a nightmare about this game a while ago where one of the levels forced you into first person. I won’t get into the level itself though because it was quite a long explanation

You can find the release trailer for it in the description. It's biggest problems are not being able to see below you as well as stuff unloading when it's off camera. Other than those minor issues its fun and I recommend it if you enjoy 3D Land.

A first person Mario game technically does exist, check out Yoshi’s Safari for the SNES

Isn't that the one with the camera behind Yoshis head? I'm pretty sure that would be considered 3rd person? Idk I guess it can be seen as 1st person as well

I can kind of see it but wouldn't second person be from the view of another characters view? Like say a goomba or some sort of enemy? As far as I know a better example of 2nd person would be Super Mario Odysseys VR system. Even then, 2nd person is from the perspective from a character that is not your own from what I've found

@@galacticstarshine I was making a joke. Nick Robinson made a video about a moment in video game history that truly is a second-person game, if that peaks your interest. The way the mod looks appeared to behave similarly to that video game moment.
