A full cylinder head swap/ head gasket job would be great to see you do. I have to do this on my 2000 jeep Cherokee. And I'm almost ready to do it after watching tons of videos and doing tons of research. I'm just waiting on some more parts and tools to be delivered. It just seems like with each video I watch or article I read there's something else that other videos missed and I'd rather not miss anything important. Great content!! Thanks!! I'm a subscriber!!
Thanks! I think a head swap would be a little too advanced for me at the moment and unfortunately I don’t have a garage and tools anymore in order to learn right now. Hoping to get a place in the future though. Thanks for watching!
@@KCars awesome!! No problem man. And yes it is pretty advanced I suppose but I don't think I have much of a choice. I can clearly see where oil has leaked out from the bottom of the head, and on top of the head where the valve cover sits. I got another head from a junkyard and hat it looked at and tested from a guy that rebuilds engines and he said it was good. I did that in case when I take out my head, if it's warped or cracked I don't need to send it out to be resurfaced and all that and have to wait. I gotta do it and I'm not paying garage mechanic fees. So here goes nothing. Lol
Awesome good to hear. Recently met a guy with a 1200 hp hellcat that was also cammed, hoping to make a video with him sometime, sounded insane. Thanks for the support!
Will do, I just hope I didn’t over tighten them because they were pretty loose when I took them off, might’ve just gotten loose though like you said. Thanks!
YA, I'LL SAY, I ended up just putting black RTV on it & finally stopped leaking. If I had to do this over I would have used RTV from the start on the Fel Pro gasket.

What state did such a detailed inspection?
I used those felpros many times, just make sure you recheck the bolts in a few hundred mile cause they get loose

Hi. What is the name of the tool that appears in the minute 7:53 ?. Thanks
Ratchet
What was the correct tightening torque for the valve cover bolts?
I believe it was something crazy like 5 ft/lbs but I didn’t actually measure it
11:01 can a metal scraper, screw driver or razor blade be used to clean the surface wehere the gasket is?
I wouldn’t do anything that aggressive unless you’re trying to clean off some old RTV. I’d just wipe it off with a towel
And now I’m just sitting here tryna figure out where which screws go where
Damn I didn’t take a pic of the screws
You didn't have to remove anything besides pulling the throttle cables off the holders. Everything else can just be pushed out of the way lol
I’ll heart you if you heart me!
