Looks like a adaptation of a little Lombardo predator or triangle bug. I'm going to have to tie a few of these up and try it! Gotta love bluegill topwater!
Man, I love bluegill but that shiner sure is a pretty fish. What I call a shiner down here in VA is a slender fish that usually inhabit the same water as trout and they're silver as a chrome bumper.
Have you every fly fished a foam pattern?
Why yes, yes I have.
Have tried them. Sadly missed a grass carp on such a hopper. Too quick on the strike 😢
Just invested in a 4 weight setup. Looking to try it out soon. Hopefully for bass or panfish.
@@darrelbaillie7829 awesome! I hope you get to fish it a bunch while the weather is still warm
@@darrelbaillie7829 that would be a fun catch on the fly!
I just checked out his website! His wood carvings are incredible! Great video. That looks like a fun day.
Thank you it was a fun time! He has some cool work!
Thank you for checking out the carvings.

Absolutely! They were loving it!
I will try to upload a how to tie video for this pattern soon.
Caught a smallie on a foam hopper called a club sandwich today. It was awesome watching him it down.
Awesome! That is the best!
