@@Jonathan-A.C. nothing “wrong” with it per se… but obviously instruments from just one specific level are always going to go better together than just a mishmash of a bunch of different songs from the same game. It might have still sounded good, but it undoubtedly would have sounded worse had it used more than just Dire Dire Docks instruments.

Dire, Dire Docks and Jolly Roger Bay were always my favorite levels on SM64 mainly because of the music to them. To hear the same sounds used to a song I grew up to as well is a huge nostalgia trip. Plus, the first few notes being the same as the song from the game is almost uncanny. Thank you for sharing.

I picture Mario eating what he thinks is a Super mushroom but it is Psilocybin then all of a sudden everything melts around him and he finds himself in a desolate wasteland scattered with the body parts of adversaries he has long vanquished and squashed long ago and so he wanders on as this song starts playing and he has visions of all the battles he has fought and survived and begins to ponder whether or not all this violence was really warranted for the sake of one person then he looks to he sky and sees the face of Peach but something is off...her face glows red and then takes the form of a flaming skull and upon looking at such a haunting visage he can't help but let out a bloodcurdling scream then everything turns white and he opens his eyes and looks up and sees the sun....the real sun....and he finds himself in a grassy meadow then he is hit with a feeling of melancholy but then hears a voice...the voice of the one he has fought all of those battles for...it is then that Mario realizes he would cross many more wastelands and fight many more battles just to be able to hear that voice...
