    Ive stood half a meter away from this amazing piece of art while it was idling... my socks were rolling at my feet

    One would have to be an outstanding auto and engineer mechanics and pass that passion to one's children & grand children.

    A very impressive piece of engineering. I'd love to see something with modern aerodynamics sporting one of these engines .

    This is what Biggles regards as being a commuter vehicle. Then when he is off-duty he and Algy, Bertie or Ginger go and scare the horses and the plebs in town.
    If you don't know who i'm talking about 'Google Biggles and Captain W.E. Johns, who was the author of the stories.

    Thats not a rolls royce engine, it is in fact a rover engine, if it is a metoer, its the tank engine made by rover from the rolls royce merlin designs, the main differance being the lack of a supercharger. The egine would have been made at Lode lane where the Range Rover is now made
