Rico Love asking “ Where did I go wrong?” was the most refreshing and therapeutic thing I’ve heard in a long time. This also speaks to Tank and J being a safe place. You can’t ask everyone this question.

I absolutely love this podcast. As a 30 year old woman who fell in love with R&B from day one. This podcast and the many conversations just hit every sweet spot in my heart. These segments remind me of the many nights falling asleep in the back of my parents car dozing off to the late sessions of Keith Sweat, Tank, MJ, Anita Baker, Tyrese and the many jams played on Magic 102.1 with my boy Marco Spoon. Ah man I appreciate those times so much. I've been able to really and truly fall in love with art that is R&B

Just sharing that Rico Love was such an amazing guest. I already loved his music and I LOVED "They Don't Know" so much!!!!! So vibe-y. I was wondering why he didn't keep going so I'm glad y'all gave him feedback on that portion bc some of us WERE waiting, Love.

And the one about her calling him to the studio? We hear A LOT of stories about her humility (I'm "lucky" to have a 1-degree separation so I'm actually confident they're true vs. just hoping they are). But it's dope to hear a story about Beyoncé knowing she's Beyoncé. Love that he was able to take MaDukes to the studio w/ him too.

Just commenting bc I love this podcast. I usually don't have a guest "request" bc I enjoy the people you bring on your own - I usually know of them or thoroughly enjoy learning about someone new.
But everyone seems to have a Jagged Edge story somehow some way. They'd be great guests. I do still listen to them like they just dropped an album yesterday, so I know I'm prob biased but the stories keep leading there so 💕

I love that we get the back story on how our favorite songs were put together. The connections, etc. It gives me the feeling I had when I finally saw the credits for Stevie Wonder’s “All I Do” and saw that MJ, Eddie Levert and Betty Wright sang the backgrounds and now I can’t unhear their voices individually. I remember Terius Nash(The Dream) when he was born. I loved his mother Revas dearly. They were our neighbors along with his grandmother Ms Eddie Bell & uncle Eugene. I think his grandpa Mac died before he was born. He was a very sweet baby. His mom did hair. So I would watch him while she pressed & curled hair. I miss his mother. They later moved to Georgia. I cried because she helped protected me from being abused by my mom’s sorry azz husband. She let me hang out with her & Terius until my momma came home from work. As Rico said, you never know which alphabet gone is going to use or remove to bless you. I’m grateful for the R & B Money podcast. These memories were painful but I have power to manifest my dreams of greatness, too.

Always always LOVE these episodes… HOWEVER… Rico’s episode was well worth every 123 minutes and 36 seconds… this man spoke from his heart, his humbleness, truth and KNOWLEDGE dropped at the end on the Grammys… SHEEEEEEESH!!!

R&B Money needs to manage Rico Love as a recording artist. Their diagnosis of what went wrong with him after "They Don't Know" was honest and spot-on, and I believe that they actually get him to where he needs to be as a recording artist.
When he spoke on that one letter being moved, I cried...that resonates in so many ways

What I’ve noticed is that Milwaukee we have bred very influential talents in the r&b space….Rico love….Eric benet….tank….Jacob lattimore is still on his rise….they may not be the biggest r&b acts ever but, they’re very instrumental within the space whether it be song writing producing so, it’s definitely a good feeling as someone who loves r&b music & comes from the Milwaukee area

When he spoke on the Grammys and what needs to be done for black musicians to get nominated and to win, I got excited! I can't wait for the r&b money + BMC Collab. This is how you move the needle! This is what you do! Tank and J should absolutely be apart of the BMC, y'all would really be the authority on all things musically! Not just for r&b because y'all are incredible musicians! Period! This episode was phenomenal. I'm speechless, absolutely incredible.
