The stones on the houses facing the ocean were designed to keep the ocean wind coming in from blowing the laid grass bundles off the roofs. Great detail!
ye. one of the best thing from citybuilding game is.. YOU MAKE SURE TO BUILD YOUR BEST CITY that not just good looking, but also realistic. roleplaying as a forever mayor or dictator of that region.
@emerald_archer Yeah folks keep saying this and never going into it in any depth. This is a side point I shouldn't get sucked into; but even if you look the word up in mainstream dictionaries, it's stated as a synonym for "sea", even when they also try and make "ocean" the "greater word" in other definitions. What I'm focusing on is why folks are always leaping for "ocean" when "sea" is, most of the time, the right word. OP's "Ocean wind" isn't even something you hear - "sea wind" is the standard English. Every time Keralis says "ocean", "sea" would be more fitting in every way. "Sea" can straight up mean "any great body of salt water". Historically, "sea" has always been the standard for English speakers, even when talking about bodies of water modern folks would insist on calling "oceans". Lets be real, we're all taught English = bad; French = good.
@@tommeakin1732In German, we have 3 words for that. Meer, Ozean and See. There are 7 "Ozeane" in the world, the Atlantic Ocean is an "Ozean", but in case of the Mediterranean or the Baltic Sea we use "Meer". A Meer is much bigger than a Lake ("See") but smaller than an ocean. There are clear definitions. If I stand on the west coast of Ireland, I look over the ocean, on the east coast of GB, I look over the sea.
FOUNDATION!!! Man I miss this. The first city building game you got me hooked on was Banished which was WAY long ago! Nice to see some foundation. Love it!
Banished is honestly GOAT tier... a little clunky, sure, but with all the memories of watching Papa K and playing many many hours myself, it's definitely GOAT tier for me 😁
I have been far too busy of late and haven't caught a Keralis video in a while, and man, that first moment hearing you chatting away warms my heart! @Keralis, you always have the energy and excitement of a kid first getting into a new toy or game, and it's simply lovely that you share that positive vibe with the rest of us! Always keep being you!
I like the idea of this being a chill building game. Progress comes when it comes and you build at your own, Keralis, pace... with a lot of bushes. Great to have you back.
My favorite city builder for the last 4-5 years. This game is an absolute gem. I suggest people that like city builders take chance on it at its current discount, you will not be disappointed. It is fantastic.
We are back with the city builders! Any other ones I should try? Enjoy this first episode! Get Foundation on Steam here: store.steampowered.com/app/690830?Keralis&FullRelease&TH-cam
Love that I'm only 6 minutes in and you already talk about the bushes.🤣 Love seeing you playing City Builder games again! It was the first kind of your videos I watched many years ago, before u sucked me into Minecraft and the amazing community of Hermitcraft.❤ Love from your neighbor Denmark
KERALIS IM SO EXCITED!!!! I bought this game when you first made videos of it years ago and I’ve loved it ever since, I’m so happy you’re doing a new series!!! 🥺🥺
Take all the time you want with this Keralis! I love how you are zooming in all the time, and following singular characters. Maybe you can come up with little back stories for certain characters? :) Can't wait for the bushes!!
Manor Lords. You will love Manor, its like this game + banished + more details, more realistic, more pretty. just look up a trailer/lets play its lovely. you can walk in your own peaceful city. well peaceful until raiders come :')
This is a better version of a game called Banished. I love the organic feel of the buildings. The extra options are wild. Glad you're back Papa K. Hope your vacation was nothing but spectacular. Love you energy. Anything you want to play, I'll be here to watch.
I'm unreasonably invested in finding out what happens to Lancilotto now. Will he rise to greater things, or will he spend his life being a lazy stall vendor?
It's great to see Foundation again! Poor Lancilotti, every time you checked his workplace and scolded him for not working, he was off bringing in berries to the stall. Misunderstood! Lol
I was wondering if you needed to make paths, then i saw as the 3 builders went to build the lumber camp and as each builder walked over a path became more and more noticeable... thats amazing! They make their own paths depending on their travel, thats really cool.
Very excited for the new series! I love that you are uploading series in addition to minecraft, the more videos with your beautiful face (voice? XD), the better!
I first got introduced to this game by Keralis back then. Never got the game though. I so enjoy watching you playing it instead. But full release? Maybe I will make it happen. why not. I also want the power to spam bushes here and there. 😁
Wouldn't it make more sense to put the food stalls in the same place? That way the villagers can do their shopping in a single spot and not waste time walking around. By the way, you can't move the village center once you place it, so you need to make sure to think about placement from the start.
Hear we go again, another game keralis is going to get me hooked to. BTW, what happened to the city skyline game u was playing? I'm missing that play though
Keralis and city building? Happens more often than you think. This definitely is your element and one of the things I love to see. :D
The stones on the houses facing the ocean were designed to keep the ocean wind coming in from blowing the laid grass bundles off the roofs. Great detail!
Why has it become the go-to to always say French "ocean" over English "sea"? Do folks think it sounds better? Seems to be how things always go

This game looks so cool and fun, absolutely matches the calming Keralis voice

Love seeing you playing City Builder games again! It was the first kind of your videos I watched many years ago, before u sucked me into Minecraft and the amazing community of Hermitcraft.❤ Love from your neighbor Denmark
Keralis is the only reason that I get introduced to new city builders and the last one I played was sim city on PS1. Thanks for the content.
KERALIS IM SO EXCITED!!!! I bought this game when you first made videos of it years ago and I’ve loved it ever since, I’m so happy you’re doing a new series!!! 🥺🥺
Oh this is so damn cool! I had only seen snippets of this game from others but it’s awesome seeing you play it!!
Take all the time you want with this Keralis! I love how you are zooming in all the time, and following singular characters. Maybe you can come up with little back stories for certain characters? :)

Oh no Keralis is about to make me buy another city builder.

Keralis actually has a few play throughs of banished! They are still fun to watch.
I loved the first playthrough of this, it got me through exam season lol. Looking forward to this series.
Yes!!! More more more Keralis building cities please!
I've loved this game ever since the beta started. It's gorgeous just like your beautiful face Keralis.
I would love to see you build a little village like this next hermitcraft series. That would be gorgeous; no you’re gorgeous!
Oh dang, I forgot how much I loved watching Keralis play this game! I hope this becomes a long series.
I am a simple person. I see a new Papa K video, i stop my life to watch it.
Oh exciting! I've had this on my wishlist waiting for full release and lost track of it. This is my weekend sorted out!
Ooh this game looks so cool! Definitely placed it on my wishlist! Thank you for the awesome video!
I haven't seen this game in years, so happy it released. I really loved it when I first saw it.
I'm unreasonably invested in finding out what happens to Lancilotto now. Will he rise to greater things, or will he spend his life being a lazy stall vendor?
Amazing game, Love your commentary
15:11 Since the roof is made of hay, the rocks and ropes prevent them from blowing away in a storm. It's a clever design.
It's great to see Foundation again! Poor Lancilotti, every time you checked his workplace and scolded him for not working, he was off bringing in berries to the stall. Misunderstood! Lol
I like this new new series, I want more of it
Another city building game? And Keralis is playing?
*SMASH*
The buildings in this game are so charming
I haven't even started playing this game and I'm obsessed!
I was wondering if you needed to make paths, then i saw as the 3 builders went to build the lumber camp and as each builder walked over a path became more and more noticeable... thats amazing! They make their own paths depending on their travel, thats really cool.
this looks so much fun! and cozy! can't wait for the next paycheck XD
I’m so happy you’re back with uploads ❤
All I could see when you chose your map was a screaming chameleon 😂 "Screaming Chameleon Bay" has a nice Keralis-y ring to it 🤓
I love the looks of the game. Would love to see more.
OMG hell yeah!!!!!!!! I’m so excited for this!!!
Love it! New beavertown!
Thanks for introducing this. I needed a new game that is good for the kids.
Always happy for Cory building with Keralis
Very excited for the new series! I love that you are uploading series in addition to minecraft, the more videos with your beautiful face (voice? XD), the better!
This reminds me so much of Age of Empires, but modernized by a whole lot!
When ever Keralis returns to a city builder, TH-cam knows and send me straight here 😍
Woah! This is so rad!!!! I love your videos!
I really wanted you to build the church on that little hill but it was just out of your territory 💔 Can't wait for episode 2!
The stones on the roof is to protect the roof from the wind blowing it away 😊😊
0:58 this is definitely an EYEland.
I absolutely love variety content like this 💚
Bringing me banished series vibes, we're so back.
Can’t wait for the next episode
🤔Rocks and planks on thatched roofs were to encourage the sheaves to lay flat after being folded over the peak.🤷♀️ Helps waterproof the pointy peak.
Love this keralis, miss city skylines but this game is fannnntastic :)))
Foundation is full release now? Oh my goodness, I haven't played that in ages
I need the next episode 😂❤ please btw the rocks are on the roofs towards the ocean because of storms/ crazy winds because the roofs are straw
oh i am sooo excited for this :o
This is a cute game. So far enjoying it.
27 seconds is wild
I love your voice 🤩😅
I love city building ❤
We need a 4hour stream of this
I first got introduced to this game by Keralis back then. Never got the game though. I so enjoy watching you playing it instead. But full release? Maybe I will make it happen. why not. I also want the power to spam bushes here and there. 😁
ain't no way I discover the game I had in my backlog for three years just hit full release from Keralis
just got it waiting to download it.
Wouldn't it make more sense to put the food stalls in the same place? That way the villagers can do their shopping in a single spot and not waste time walking around. By the way, you can't move the village center once you place it, so you need to make sure to think about placement from the start.
Look like a fun game
The stones hanging on the roofs are to keep the thatching from blowing away.
Like the game
LOVE your commentary
This made me buy the game 👍 very epic
Let’s gooo!!!!!
Wooooh Foundation!!
"lets not make this a compincator" lol
That Lanciloto is a big slacker 😅
Don’t lie, “Polish pigeon” hurt a little my fragile Polish soul 🥲
Looks great reminds me of Age of Empires.
Wow this game has sure changed a lot since I last saw it. Graphics and textures have improved ten fold 😂 was so cartoonish before
Glad to see you come back to something Banished-like :)
This might just be my new favorite game 👀
@keralis PLEASE play tiny glade ❤
Spank you very much for the video 😊
I just saw RCE make a video abt this game. U two have similar taste
I kinda like the old visuals od the trees and land, looked more real, this looks, watered down in a way...
