I remember trying to swim there on Playa Zicatela, the waves were so big they would hammer you if you went 75 feet from shore. They closed it to surfing it was so dangerous.

I am considering going there for some remote work, probably next month and its one of the most easily accessible countries now it seems. I'm from Latvia so I can stay there for 3 months without applying for visa. I want to ask two questions. If you like the place can you perhaps extend your visa for a while from Mexico? And of course another one is about the safety. From your videos it seems that you get around there from town to town with buses and taxis without much stress. Would you say that its safe to do it there? How do you feel about safety in general there? Right now I'm living in tenerife and I dont worry much at all about safety, even after dark when I walk around alone. From what I have seen and read about mexico and Latin America in general I think that perhaps it wouldn't be quite the same anymore.

Insert a straw and drink! May save your fingers ;) I lived in Mexico for 5 years, and drank lots of coconut water!
