Hey everyone! With Bachelorette coming up I wanted to update my How to Pick The Winner video and respond to some of the questions I heard from the last video. I hope this clarifies some of those questions! And at 9:50 I threw in some fun tin foil hat conspiracies as well.
Okay I totally picture a huge corkboard in your living room with all their pictures and tons of red yarn going from picture to picture to trashy magazine articles..and I'm loving it
Also, I think you can tell if someone will be eliminated early by if they have a bogus occupation line like “aspiring drummer,” “tickle monster,” or “whaboom.” And yes, I am rewatching Rachel’s season lol
For example, Cassie was set to be (hopefully) loved by the public and not hated when Colton chose her despite warnings from others that she was not ready and her consequent confirmation of this. When she arrived in the limo, the producers made sure that her entrance was romantic. She opened up a box of butterflies and they all fell to the floor. *cue fail music* However, they did not use this moment to poke fun of the fact that the butterflies did not fly but romanticized it...
aside from ben picking courtney, the most stressed i've been was when jake picked vienna lmao and it's the messiest break up ever in bachelor history. anyway, jake didn't seem like the sweet guy during jillian's season after all that mess so meh. also, sean and catherine's journey was amazing. catherine seemed like she was going to fall into the maybe/friends category in the beginning but halfway through, she and sean were just compatible and the most adorable together. i still think sean did really well by not closing off his feelings for other girls til the end. still the only bachelor who actually married the woman he picked.
Side note: it's been mentioned by Bachelor staff before that the limo arrival order is based on rank in which the staff thinks is most compatible with the current Bachelor or Bachelorette.

The more I watch these. I really think that the villains are turning into Bachelor in Paradise Heroes. Like seriously, Chris was my least favorite human and then in Bachelor in Paradise I was like: "Chris and Krystal for the win"
Love tin foil hat time, but it's definitely a coincidence. You look at Ben, Jojo, Nick, Rachel, and Becca's seasons, and the spots aren't the same. I didn't look further back then that, but that's 5/7 of the last seasons where it isn't the same
if we got by that conspiracy for Matt's season, Bri would win. but there are rumors that he chose Rachael....but also rumors that they separated......and if he asks Bri to be with him again then what? dun dun dun.
Lol I looked it up too! I also tested my theory with Beccas season, Nick's season, Kaitlynns season, and Ben's season. And if I remember correctly Ben chose Lauren but Lauren was in the very back!
Is a third requirement for the maybes/friends category a weird nose?? Jk jk 😂 but like it seems like all of then have interesting noses No hate, my nose is wack too lol
I would love more of Bachelor Fantake's review of the aussie versions - loved the review of Angie's season. Regarding Honey Badger......I respect him for not choosing someone for the sake of it. If he wasn't feeling it, he did the honest thing. Poor guy can't win! Would people prefer him to have lied and led them on? I don't think so 🙂
they had Hannah give out a rose already on the bachelor finale between the few guys she met so I'm guessing they'll have her do a Sean-style night one. which i honestly think is because the producers are aware of how indicative the first impression rose is of the winner on the bachelorette and they don't want tip their hand too much by letting Hannah give out just one first impression rose 😂 it's predicted the winner too many times now

I wouldn’t say that Catherine was the main villain. On the Bachelor, there are two types of villains: faux villains and the main villains. Faux villains give you a false and temporary impression that they’re the bad guys while the real villains don’t show themselves until later. In Colton’s season that would be Catherine and Demi respectively. In Arie’s season that was Chelsea and Krystal respectively. In Nick’s season that was (don’t remember her name) and Corrine respectively. Regardless both the faux villains and the main villains don’t make it to the end. This is a recurring the pattern of the Bachelor, I’m not sure about the Bachelorette. Also doesn’t the Bachelor have their female version of white knights? Taylor from Nick’s season went after Corrine and Courtney went after Demi on Colton’s season.
I think the real villain on Colton's season was Caelynn. She really showed her true colors towards the end but in the beginning everyone thought she was so sweet and brave because she shared her story about being raped. (She's still brave for sharing don't get me wrong) but she came off as such a mean girl and you can tell most of the other girls were so over her shit. It's pretty telling when you only have one friend from the whole season (that friend being Cassie)
Mariah Mclean That reminds me, that’s the third villain after the main one gets eliminated. It’s optional because it depends how quickly the main villain gets voted out. Corrine made it to hometowns in Nick’s season so after she was gone there really wasn’t another villain, so that season is the exception.
Definitely hard to predict but I’d say those that left (for the most part) left because they knew things weren’t going well and they were soon to be eliminated anyways (Sydney, Heather, etc). So not much ends up changing in terms of elimination order. Elyse is a big exception to this though but that kind of excites me, that things can still be unpredictable!

7:27 "watch it, stream it, all in a row" - great idea for those interested in figuring these things out, and possible for seasons 13-22 of the Bachelor and 6-14 of the Bachelorette since they are available on Amazon, but impossible elsewhere: Colton's season is no longer available, having been pulled off Hulu, and presumably the same will happen to Hanna's season, soon after that completes.

What role do the intros play at the beginning of the show? I've only watched a few seasons, but all of the final picks that I've seen have had video intros at the beginning of the show.
Good question, I'd have to go back and check every season to really make sure but I can tell you right now that Jojo wore a unicorn mask when she exited the limo and was the runner up (then Bachelorette next season).

Another way to identify a winner is the intros they Normally choose 3 woman like in Colton's season, they spent a lot of time on Cassie's into allowing the crowd to cheer for her and included Hannah B as she would be manicured to be the bachelorette they then throw in a decoy (one other person)
How do you count Season 1 of The Bachelor? I saw it recently, and while there wasn't an official first impression rose, Alex gave his first rose to the eventual winner, and when he gave her the final rose, he remarked on the fact that he had also given her his first rose. (Aside: I somehow correctly identified the eventual winner the first moment she appeared on screen. Despite all the bachelorettes' accomplishments, the first Bachelor just went for the cute curvy blonde.)
Since there wasn't the first impression rose as we see it now I don't count it. I believe there are 9 seasons (I think Andy's season was the first) without one. I don't put a lot of weight into it as the show has changed quite a bit since then (both on and off the screen).
Scott Phillips I would say they’ve definitely got more savvy with editing/storytelling/casting to get the kind of tv they want. But like everything that comes with years of practice and experience
Bachelor Fantake I love it when they travel to exotic foreign countries but lately they’ve turned it into the Amazing Race. They waste too much time on dates that are all about oddball challenges and competitions that have nothing to do with romance. I guess they’re running out of ideas.
