Hi not sure if you're still having a hard time, you may have found solutions but I find it best to have things like soup, mashed potatoes. Very soft things bc your teeth may still be sore and you don't want to hurt them even more.
Using it cuz I got 4 braces put but one popped out so the wire sticks out This helped me figure out how to get it on the wire that has been poking the inside of my lip (Appointment is set so it’s all good)

I know it may be a little late for this comment because you may know this by now, but make sure the area is dry when you put the wax on. It will stick better.
Hi there!! One of my blue glue fell off alongside my bracket when the orthodontist were tightening my braces. They said until I improve my quality of my gums, they will place another bracket back on that tooth as well as the glue that fell off. On my left side there is glue and on the right side there isn't. This causes me to bite unevenly which causes cuts in my gums. Can I put the wax on my tooth to help balance out the sides that I bite with???
Hello Doggy...it's hard to say that because i can't properly see you...so i believe your orthodontist knows about your problem and there must be a reason for the bite to be uneven. I would rather if you ask your orthodontist this...because if you were here and you were my patient it would be my honor to see you and help you...but in this case i prefer your orthodontis to help you. About your gums try to brush them well and use a rinse with clorhexidine...that will help along with a professional teeth cleaning.....Please tell us what your orthodontist told you about the problem you have
Put the piece of wax on hot water let it melt for a minute or 30 40 second then take the wax out of water with your finger and place it on your braces. Do it quick because wax dry out really fast I works for me and i will not come out until you brush it or eat hard food.
I skipped putting wax overnight because I was too lazy and that was a BAD decision. Now I have 2 ulcers from the bracket that were poking in my inner lips and they hurt so bad 😭 Visiting here just in case I'm applying my wax wrong
Welcome to our channel!!! try not to forget to use wax if braces are hurting you......Ulcers hurt badly but they will go away..just use the wax on the bracket that is hurting the ulcer and maybe on 4 or 5 days you will be just like new!!!

Hello Sarah!!! congratulations on your new braces!!!...try NOT to eat hard food...the food that could separate the braces from your teeth. Hard food will break the composite used to adhere the braces on your teeth so avoid them!!!...you will feel a little pain but you will be ok in 2 or 3 days!!

I just had an extraction so there's a big gap of long wire in my mouth. And the wire is hurting the inside of my cheek. Am i allowed to cover the long wire with wax? Will this change my teeth redirection or something?
You will feel a lot of pressure on your teeth the first days and it will hurt maybe 1 or 2 weeks...use wax and ask your orthodontist for some pain relief that wont interfere with teeth movement....if there is a topic your would like us to adress please let us know!!!

@@mustafa2172 change it after every meal... You could use the same if economics is an issue... If so.. Clean it well before reuse it. If economics is not an issue... Change it after every meal. Its better if you remove it before eating Otherwise you will be swallowing a lot of wax... And although its not a big problem you may develop a stomach problem. So remove it before meals and change it after brushing your teeth...or clean it well and reuse it...
I gave up on the wax and used oragel it really helped since right after I got pissed and ate 2 slices of pizza with the side of my mouth that hurt the most

Hi! Just got mines this past Friday. It is for if you have a bracket or wire bothering your mouth like poking or stabbing. Just making the inside of your mouth sore. You take the wax and roll it in your fingers. Smash it a tiny bit and stick it to the bracket/wire thats bothering you. The wax covering the bracket/wire creates a smooth surface so it doesnt bother the inside of your mouth.

Hello Cousin Fam...ok...pain after getting your braces tighten is caused by the pressure placed between the teeth roots and the bone surrounding your teeth. The pain which goes from very low to sometimes and depending on the individual severe lasts from 2 to 5 days after each appointment. You will feel it after every appointment you have but you will get used to it...so...you won't feel it the same way as today cuz today is your 2nd day.....The pain will not be the same after 5 months of having braces...Dont Worry and cheer up!!! you will get used to it!!!!! Please let us know if you have any other questions we must answer!!
Hello Monse...you are probably using too much and making it contacto your gum....the gum is gonna try to "defend" itself against the wax....so try not to press it against your gum and you will be fine...if you can take a picture of it....although i know its too far...if you can..please share it here and maybe we can help you more....Tell us please if the problem was solved

Use it if it hurts too much... It is true that u will get used to it... But for example u will never get used to a loose wire stabbing your gum or mucosa. I just got braces recently and I was wondering what you do with the wax once you finished using a piece. I would assume you’d throw it away but just making sure you didn’t reuse the wax.
Hello Emma...the correct way to do it is to dispose it...but in case you don't have many wax...try to clean it and then you will be able to use it again...but again...the best option is to throw it away and use new wax

@@chochu8 You're supposed to take them out before eating. But you should just be able to pull it off. If not, try rinsing with some cold water or brushing your teeth.

@@cousinfam5059 It can hurt for some people but for others it might not. It's different for everyone and it also depends on the type of wire you get. Like I got my wire tightened and it hurt a little bit more than usual because I got a heavier wire.
Hello Chowomp!! Use it until you are able to go to you orthodontist to fix the achwire that hurts. In the case of hooks which are Part of the your braces... Use it if it hurts too much Otherwise your mouth wont get used to braces....
@Major Kelly 1 month later mine are okay! Just have to endure it man. Try putting the wax to help. The main concern for me now is the wires poking my cheeks when the braces itself gets tighter
@@TreasureTrain69 The first day wasn't too bad. It was the second day. I took motrin and tylenol. They both didn't really help. Now the aleve really did help with the pain. Make sure you have wax. The wax became my bff with all the canker sore. Please invest in a waterpik. It helps tremendously. Goodluck
Got mine yesterday, my cheek is all tore up on the right side only and the wax does not work as well as it should be. Went to the orthodontist and they cut it shorter but still tares up my cheek. I've just been using numbing cream.

Put the piece of wax on hot water let it melt for a minute or 30 40 second then take the wax out of water with your finger and place it on your braces. Do it quick because wax dry out really fast
I works for me and i will not come out until you brush it or eat hard food.

Welcome to our channel!!! try not to forget to use wax if braces are hurting you......Ulcers hurt badly but they will go away..just use the wax on the bracket that is hurting the ulcer and maybe on 4 or 5 days you will be just like new!!!

Hello Sarah!!! congratulations on your new braces!!!...try NOT to eat hard food...the food that could separate the braces from your teeth. Hard food will break the composite used to adhere the braces on your teeth so avoid them!!!...you will feel a little pain but you will be ok in 2 or 3 days!!

Imagine...a consult that would normally cost you...lets say 50 dollars now it will cost maybe a 100 or even more. So please try not to use ice or anything that could harm your braces. Please ask your orthodontist which pain killer you may use with braces so you could feel better!!...

I just had an extraction so there's a big gap of long wire in my mouth. And the wire is hurting the inside of my cheek. Am i allowed to cover the long wire with wax? Will this change my teeth redirection or something?

You will feel a lot of pressure on your teeth the first days and it will hurt maybe 1 or 2 weeks...use wax and ask your orthodontist for some pain relief that wont interfere with teeth movement....if there is a topic your would like us to adress please let us know!!!

@@mustafa2172 change it after every meal... You could use the same if economics is an issue... If so.. Clean it well before reuse it. If economics is not an issue... Change it after every meal. Its better if you remove it before eating Otherwise you will be swallowing a lot of wax... And although its not a big problem you may develop a stomach problem. So remove it before meals and change it after brushing your teeth...or clean it well and reuse it...

Hi! Just got mines this past Friday. It is for if you have a bracket or wire bothering your mouth like poking or stabbing. Just making the inside of your mouth sore. You take the wax and roll it in your fingers. Smash it a tiny bit and stick it to the bracket/wire thats bothering you. The wax covering the bracket/wire creates a smooth surface so it doesnt bother the inside of your mouth.

Hello Cousin Fam...ok...pain after getting your braces tighten is caused by the pressure placed between the teeth roots and the bone surrounding your teeth. The pain which goes from very low to sometimes and depending on the individual severe lasts from 2 to 5 days after each appointment. You will feel it after every appointment you have but you will get used to it...so...you won't feel it the same way as today cuz today is your 2nd day.....The pain will not be the same after 5 months of having braces...Dont Worry and cheer up!!! you will get used to it!!!!! Hello Monse...you are probably using too much and making it contacto your gum....the gum is gonna try to "defend" itself against the wax....so try not to press it against your gum and you will be fine...if you can take a picture of it....although i know its too far...if you can..please share it here and maybe we can help you more....Tell us please if the problem was solved

Use it if it hurts too much... It is true that u will get used to it... But for example u will never get used to a loose wire stabbing your gum or mucosa. Hello Emma...the correct way to do it is to dispose it...but in case you don't have many wax...try to clean it and then you will be able to use it again...but again...the best option is to throw it away and use new wax

And I didn't put it there... It was putted there by my dentist... It makes chewing the pasta a bit harder.
@@chochu8 You're supposed to take them out before eating. But you should just be able to pull it off. If not, try rinsing with some cold water or brushing your teeth.

It's actually okay to swallow orthodontal wax because there's no chemicals or anything that can harm you unlike regular candle wax.

@@TreasureTrain69 The first day wasn't too bad. It was the second day. I took motrin and tylenol. They both didn't really help. Now the aleve really did help with the pain. Make sure you have wax. The wax became my bff with all the canker sore. Please invest in a waterpik. It helps tremendously. Goodluck

Got mine yesterday, my cheek is all tore up on the right side only and the wax does not work as well as it should be. Went to the orthodontist and they cut it shorter but still tares up my cheek. I've just been using numbing cream.
