    Awesome video, love the energy and upbeat attitude!
    Just wanted to give a heads up, as of 5 years ago the Vitamix is now dish washer safe, fits under the counter and also is way easier to use than the older style machines.
    Side note: the discoloration from lots of use comes from the fact that Vitamix containers are not plastic, but triton co-polyester Which is the cousin to bullet proof glass. (Indestructible from dropping!!)
    Also, some fun notes:
    1: Vitamix is celebrating its 100th anniversary as a family owned company.
    2: find a demonstration of the Vitamix, and you’ll find loads of people who have had their Vitamix for over 20 years. That’s because they’re built to last with heavy use!
    3: Vitamix is used in 100k restaurant chains across the world not only because the blades on them are NOT sharp, but they can be used time and time again non stop.
    Thanks for taking the time for the video!

    Ive used both and for those wondering where the vitamix is the hands down winner is nutmilk - only the power of the vitamix breaks down the nut fibers all the way quickly into a cream - you don't have to strain the extra leftover fiber out - great video!! :)

    I just switched from the Ninja Foodi to the Vitamix a3500 and the difference in my green fibrous smoothies, fruit smoothies, almond butter and my homemade ice cream is incredible. I don’t think the Ninja should have won on any of those tests to be honest. But I get it, I guess. That “extra work” with the tamper is what seemed to get the Vitamix deducted in points a lot per your grading scale, but it comes with the tamperer and they’ve never NOT been transparent about that. You do have to put in a bit of elbow grease for the quality. With the Ninja, she had to do the “convenient” preset settings more than once many times. That doesn’t strike me as very convenient if you have to repeat until it finally gets it and that raw almond butter looked atrocious on the Ninja. But that’s just my opinion, the convenience factor in these scenarios were not there at all but per the commentary it was? I chuckled at that. It just seemed very biased and I loved my Ninja Foodi but my Vitamix is in another league. You should try doing green and fruit smoothies and do actual like smear tests on a white plate. I did that and the quality is night and day difference. I did like the presentation of your video, however! Keep up the content!

    • @KennyandJoann
      @KennyandJoann  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This was an older model of the Vitamix as well. Kenny still likes it better than the Ninja, old or new. The criteria were developed for a tired woman. Joann preferred the Ninja overall. It really just comes down to preference. Thanks so much for watching and for the detailed input!

    • @keanite2742
      @keanite2742 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KennyandJoann you’re welcome! And I totally get it, I was able to deduce the reasoning for the grading scale from the commentary. It very well be due to it being from an older model because my Foodi is like high quality blender, but my new Vitamix is like walking into a pricey smoothie shop. They’re both good, but just in completely different leagues. Also, another thing that I hated about my Foodi is the design of the blades. I don’t think you went over that, but it’s very important! When my dishwasher was down for a few weeks those things were SCARY to hand wash. Just an important thing to mention in the future especially for those who don’t like sharp objects. Too many cuts in the kitchen over the years has made me weary of blades like that. You have to be very safe. Vitamix cleanup is a breeze. But the one thing I do enjoy more in my Foodi is how it blended ice for certain drinks. I haven’t tried it yet in my Vitamix but I’m hoping to make some frozen margaritas in it soon for a small get together and I’m praying it is as good or better than my Foodi is. Anywho, thanks for the reply and love you guy’s channel. Much love here.

      The problem is the ninja needed more liquid as it’s glass is a tiny bit bigger than the vitamix so it would of done it faster. The new ninjas are even more powerful. The vitamix is just too expensive for what it is so I’m my book ninja wins hands down.

    Raw nut butter? I thought the nuts has to be toasted first I’ve never heard of this. What’s the benefits compared to the the toasted?

    • @KennyandJoann
      @KennyandJoann  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Raw nuts and seeds, if soaked/sprouted first to rinse off enzyme inhibitors, will reduce bloating and release the enzymes that improve digestion. So, to keep them raw for nut/seed butters, the blender cannot process them above 115 degrees Fahrenheit. The minerals are also more bioavailable when raw. Thanks for watching, Gloria!

    The newer Vitamix have a wide bottom container with pre-programmed settings. Can you do another video describing and comparing the texture of the blended items between the two? • @DandQchannel3536
      @DandQchannel3536 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Over time the Ninja won’t hold up. Just like every other blender that depends on a sharp blade to do its job-once it dulls, the machine becomes useless because their inferior motors simply can’t keep up. . For that reason, don’t waste your money on the Ninja. You’ll go through 4 or 5 of them before you need to replace the Vitamix. Check out the warranty on the Vitamix as well.
      Vitamix and Blendtec start off with dull blades and powerful, quality motors. They pulverize their ingredients. Their dull blade concept is ingenious, actually.
      For a lot of items, I actually like Ninja products (e.g., air fryers, pressure cookers). But it cannot (as well the other brands) can’t compete with Vitamix or Blendtec for the long haul.

    i personally feel the best bang for the buck is the Ninja. it can do what many blenders can not. Vitamix is definately a good machine but the price makes it very prohibitive for most folks and also, the Vitamix carafe's are all the same. in my opinion, they are cheaply made and dull out quickly and always look dirty. my Ninja, which is 3 yrs old and used daily, still looks great...great video guys :)

      Thanks so much, Dominic! Well said! They are both great blenders, but we would definitely recommend the Ninja if you didn’t already have a Vitamix. We appreciate you watching!

    She used oil in the nut butter and he didn't use oil in his nut butter, no way the ninja is better than the vitamix noway, he should have used oil or baked them first

      We were trying to keep the nut butter raw. The Vitamix does a smoother job, but it heats the nut butter, since it’s a high-speed blender. To keep it from killing the enzymes, we had to stop and run cold water over the pitcher several times. That’s the only reason the Ninja was almost even there. Thanks for watching!

    In the first round the Ninja won ... he had to use that tamper way too much and struggled a bit.... Image a shorter less stronger person trying to plunge that Vitamix 💗

      So true! Joann hates the tamper! It’s a workout sometimes! Lol!

    If your wife put in the powder with the almond milk which you can do she wouldn't have had to do it twice and the ninja would have won

      Yes, we mix powder and almond milk first now. It’s so much easier that way. Thanks for watching, Ken!

    I dont think Ninja won this, you spent money in ninja and after 4-5y is just trash as many 🇨🇳 products, is better invest in quality product as Vitamix, also consider this video was made with latest Ninja model but not with Vitamix latest model (no fare).

    • @KennyandJoann
      @KennyandJoann  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      In my (Kenny’s) opinion, the Vitamix always wins, no matter what model. I still use it two or more times a day. Joann likes Ninja better. If you already have a Vitamix, then there’s no reason to get a Ninja. If you’re looking for a good blender on a tight budget, then a Ninja is a great choice. Thanks for the input and thanks for watching!
