I don't get why a lot of fans don't like Taub. He's not a bad doctor or diagnostician, and though he has a terrible love life, he took care of both his babies and became a good father. Plus, he's fuckin' HILARIOUS!! Aside from House and Chase, it was House and Taub who formed a comedic duo in various scenes
@@jimmytimmy3680 I don't know, but I've seen in other clips in the comments that some people just don't like Taub, or at least not as much as all the other characters.
@@Biosquid239 Oh I didn't say hate, I meant dislike. Basically he's the least favorite character of many that I've seen. I personally like him, I find his misery a bit (very) relatable, I like his humor and cynicism along with House and Chase, and he's had plenty of shining moments in his career working for House! For as bad as Season 8 may be, I loved the two-episode arc of Chase getting stabbed. It finally turned Chase around from being House’s yes man to finally standing on his own. We also see House transform and warn Chase to not let his arrogance and emotions control his actions. Chase initially thought the motive behind this for House was out of jealousy, but Chase comes to realize that House actually cares for him in helping him become not just a better doctor, but a person as well. It may also be factored by House’s guilt in the stabbing incident.
@@Dylan-gq3uu It had a great beginning. I’ll admit that. My biggest criticism on Season 8 is how it ended. House knows he’s on a tight leash after returning from prison. He tries to take off his ankle monitor, goes into a patient’s former home without consent on two occasions, lies to immigration about Dominika which is a federal offense, and he even has a hand in Chase’s stabbing. Yet, that’s not what gets House sent back to prison. He goes back to prison because he flushed hockey tickets down a toilet. It was so stupid and it doesn’t fit in with House’s rationale of behavior.
@@anthonymendez1997 It makes perfect sense. House is a very rational man. He considered all the risks when taking off his ankle monitor, breaking and entering, perjury, etc. He never acts on a whim or impulse, it's always calculated. Even driving his car straight through and into Cuddy's house was calculated. But he doesn't consider for a second that flushing tickets down a toilet would have any significant repercussions. He probably thought of it, but it was so unlikely that he didn't consider it. His worst nightmare is to be irrational, to act on his emotions without a shred of logic. That's why him hallucinating was the sole reason he decided to be admitted to a psych ward. To him, it's like hitting rockbottom to be irrational. Although, everyone's opinion is based on their own interpretations. In my opinion, season 8 was a great enough end to House's story
@@MM-vs2et Absolutely! I agree. Maybe there was rational thinking behind it. It just doesn’t make sense for House to go back to prison because he flushed hockey tickets down the drain especially after the much more serious things he got away with. If anything, I would think he would go back to prison after he strangled a patient in that episode. That’s better writing and makes much more sense.
Stuff like this would make you want House as a doctor but at the same time NOT want him as a doctor. 🤣 Could you imagine hanging out in a common area watching your doctor pull this kind of thing?? 🤣
If Wilson is House's friend closest to being his brother, and Chase being a surrogate son, then Taub was the same age cousin that he had a rivalry with.
Taub and House were an amazing comedy duo 😂. Would’ve loved to see more scenes of them together and grow closer. Definitely think House’s best team was Foreman, Chase, Thirteen and Taub. House always had great chemistry and these 4 could keep up with his mental mind games.
For House to use "Nth" in describing how many times he will continue to reign down his onslaught on Taub is hilarious. It is also the opposite of what he wants to teach Taub because the more he continues, the less "unexpected" it will be. Also, it will become tedious and much less fun. Law of Diminishing Returns, you see.
