Yep it was ABs day for sure
Back in the late 80's to mid 90's I was a crew member TA/FC (BB/FC) car and a TF/FC (AA/FC) team. I learned every nut and bolt on those cars from the axle mounting flanges to the cables that ran the length of the frame. That was when I was a younger man that could stand on my feet from 9:AM to 9:PM that night depending on how many rounds we went. I would like to see you do a segment on what the contents of your puke can looks like after a run. You can tell a little about how the engine is doing from the puke can after a run.
I always wondered about that too. OI know what they look like with T/A but not T/F. It is huge, so it would be interesting to see
Not that ithe puke tank inspection ain’t valid and relevant anymore, but, I think they log crankcase pressure, now.
Instrumentation and data logging answer a lot of questions, that relied on intuition and experience of the observations, before it was available, back in the day.
Also think crankcase over pressure may trigger engine kill, maybe chute deployment.
Think that’s why people questioned the chutes not deploying on John Forces blowup / crash.
@@georgedreisch2662 I would say the only thing a puke can inspection would possibly catch is blow by, and small metal fragment is the only thing a computer would not catch. I have wondered about Johns chutes not opening myself. Lucky his crash did not turn into a a Scott Kalitta situation.
@@georgedreisch2662 If Force's chutes came out (no idea why after it went boom), that would have scrubbed so many mph off b4 wall hit. What a time for a malfunction of something.
@@jackmooney45 Yup. Thinkin’ that had the chutes deployed, he might have been kept out of the walls and potentially prevented crossing the track. ‘Spect NHRA is looking at it hard…
Don’t know how it’s done at present, but, suspect protecting / armoring the wiring harnesses, and / or a separate harness, with normally closed circuits, may become a thing, assuming, that the system failed as a result of the engine explosion, taking out the circuit.

Awesome explanation about why the engine is rolled over by hand before the powered start up. There were several crew members on the Australian team that had some bad experiences with that back fire and blower explosion. That's a great example of why the safety measures are in place.

Dear Ms. Millican/Hubbard, I'm a motocross announcer up here in the *Great Pacific Northwest* and I have some sad news. The guy that I admired most in my field was a guy named Larry "Supermouth" Huffman who was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2008. Believe it or not.. He was the first person to coin the phrase that so many of us quote today in racing, and the phrase you use at the beginning of your video *"SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY"*
I am gutted to report that the day you released this excellent video, Monday July 1st, Larry Huffman passed away. The phrase "Sunday, Sunday, Sunday" along with "You'll buy the ticket for the whole seat, but you'll only need the edge!!" and "You'll bring your BRAINS HOME IN A BAG!!" were all Mr. Huffman.
Even though he was best known for his AMA Camel Supercross in the '70s and '80s.. it was the phrase used in a commercial for Lions Drag Strip in Wilmington Ca. during the late '60s (the track he got his start in announcing) where he FIRST used the line "SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY" that endeared him to his fans.
Wow.. May he rest in peace & I will always think of him every time I use his GREAT LINE .. thanks for sharing

So in case this change is true,then you can still film in landscape/sideways mode mand put it out right after the event a few seconds,it will not have live QC you will need to reply on the normal vlog, right, you can still QCA on the live ,it will just be in virtical mode /Portrait is the correct term, thanks BigAl California

Ok , so TH-cam,has /or is changing the ways we can do lives, no more landscape screen ,you know sideways camera 📷 screen m they are only going to allow vertical/Portrait mode on livestream from now on , at least that is what e of the live stream vlogers said today on her channel, im not sure if it is everyone or just her, thanks BigAl California.
