this came with my xbox 360 and that was my first halo experience, i remember i would join custom games with a second controller and recreate assassinations all night, man it was fun, i would then later get halo reach, i love this series and it holds a special place in my childhood

Then you reached the QTE door, and everything flooded back as my eyes glazed over. Halo really was forever changed with Bungie's departure, and it shows as early as a minute in. Chief finished the fight. Why is this series still on life support like this? It's disgraceful.
I had only played Halo 1 and 2 until last week I got the collection on Xbox and replayed everything, halo 1 was great, the OG, I found Halo 2 a bit lacking in some aspects, I don’t think I enjoyed it as much as the first time, Halo 3 was the perfect sweet spot between 1 and 2 and to me was the best one of the original trilogy, specially the vehicle battles felt epic and marines where not useless sacks anymore. Halo 4 was a bit strange, like it was not a Halo game, it felt different, the story was lazy and most of the time was just pushing random buttons for cortana but I enjoyed the game itself, my favorite part was the Hunters, they are so aggressive and powerful, in the first halo games they were a joke and were supposed to be like one of the most powerful unit, in halo 4 they truly felt like a threat. It’s an enjoyable game, just different.

Congratulations on the new time! I have a question. When getting on the phantom at the beginning of composer, do you just do a grenade jump, or is a spring jump involved?
You can spring jump but in this run I just did a normal grenade jump. But getting onto the phantom can be a a bit harder than it looks. I am still working on consistency for this trick lol
The animated/scripted sections where control is taken away from the player should be subtracted from the timer. That's what they do in Halo ce Speedruns.
In H4 when your melee, reload, or cancel sprint in mid-air your momentum carries forward and your sprint begins to recharge during that time. If done properly it allows for the player to sprint infinitely.
@@corywillmon4414 I was wondering that too. Also, how long does it take sprint to reload, and why does it seem you're moving much faster than why I do sprint? I'm doing the MCC playlists and I'm struggling to make even par time while RNGing on some levels.
@@tonyf.9806 Your sprint should be able to recharge just enough as long as you cancel your sprint mid-jump. The only time this running pattern becomes difficult to manage is when you are running uphill (because your jump time is decreased due to the slope).

Yes, it kills the marine that normally has to open the door for you. But by killing the marine as the room loads in, it skips that entire animation and saves up to like 5-6 seconds.
Punching the box actually doesn't actually make a difference on the launch. I'm punching just so I can delay the checkpoint until both my feet and my reticle are lined up properly.
I started to delay that cp right before the elevator-shaft quick time event. That's why I was jumping and punching so much while killing the grunts was so the cp would be delayed until I was setup

I believe he does that to avoid getting headshot. When sprinting and looking downwards it moves your hitbox so it’s harder to get capped.

How do you melee from behind WITHOUT triggering the assassination animation?
They key to not assassinating is to not hold down the melee button. Try to tap it as quick as possible.
