I’ve a Oxford hardy jacket. Use barbor thornproof wax and then hairdryer it. Leave about 2-3 days to hang dry and it’s seen some severe weather and kept me warm and dry. Love the Oxford hardy as an everyday jacket even off the bike in town jacket

Hi! When you say you wish you had a bigger tin. Do you mean you didn't have enough wax to do the job properly, or was it that the tin being so small was a pain to use? I'm just about to do the very same job and I only bought 1 tin. Cheers!!

I used to use a spray wax on my old Barbur jacket which worked really well. Looking forward to meeting you at the weekend.👍

This takes me back John tbh , like the Silver Fox i used to spray wax on my jacket the only thing is they do get heavy , take care & ride safe
They are heavy, Mine is warm and dry though.

@Mark Thompson I haven't no, I'd be tempted to do it with a spray if I can as I find the heated wax method a bit laborious.

1 tin will do it, spread it all out evenly. If you put more on it will be greasy.
