    Extraordinary! The music, the singing, the orchestra, the conducting - a masterpiece! One can see an ancient Greek Temple rising, somewhere on Delos or in Segesta, with Iphigenia Fleming serving the rites...

    This is really lovely. And not one you see popping up on TH-cam very often. Thank so much for uploading. As a side note: I really love when she does up-do's for concerts. She's so beautiful!

    In this splendid song, as in so many others, Strauss gives the last word to the orchestra. Let's face it: Western Music died with Richard Strauss in 1949. Since then, it's been mostly noise.
