As a 6 year old little girl I remember clear as day sitting with my mother in 1960 watching “The Loretta Young Show.” To me she was absolutely beautiful! As I grew up I enjoyed watching many old black and white movies on TV starring her. She was one of my favorite actresses.
I watched this movie many many years ago and I always wanted to see it again, so I was very excited when I found it. I was in my early 30 when I saw it and am now 78. So glad I got to be seeing it again today December 17th 2023. Thank you Mrs YOUNG and thank you UTube. Merry Christmas.
I saw this movie when it originally aired on Dec. 22, 1986 and enjoyed it as much now as I did then! Loretta Young was excellent as the matriarch of this very fragmented family. She had to have been 73 at the time, but was completely radiant and captivating. She hadn't lost her touch and maybe even improved with age, like a fine wine.
🕊️ Here I am again, December 23, 2024. This movie has held a special place in my heart from the first time the movie premiered. I can place myself in many of these situations throughout my life (except the being rich part). I'm still waiting for the happy ending!! Merry Christmas!! 🕊️ 🎄🎀🎄

My daughter was born the evening this movie first aired on tv 33 years ago. Besides being a wonderful movie it brings back such a special memory. When I watch it I’m transported back to that night. I’m so grateful to have found it.

Even in her mid seventies Loretta Young was a beautiful woman, I have always enjoyed the integrity of her movies and TV shows with good morals and heavenly, blissful themes. She was a good woman and a bright light no matter all the junk she went through in her life.
I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s watching Loretta young with my parents that , adored her , she was a wonderful lady and actress ♥️
Watched her show as a pre teen and a teenager. How Beautiful she was. A true ambassador for us! Bob.

I sense something vey painful happened to you and that you are really hurting. I’m sorry for your pain, Tess. There is something that you don’t know about Miss Young. The sin you say she committed and all the other sins she committed in her life were possibly forgiven. So when her time comes to stand before God she will be as pure as snow without one sin to pay for.
Another thing even more astounding is that little white lie you told the other day equals the sin you charged Miss Young with. All sin, no matter how innocent or how vile they seem to man, are equal in God’s eyes. Have you been set free from your sins, Tess? Have you accepted God’s free gift of Salvation?
In case you haven’t, the Gospel of the Grace of God can be found in l Corinthians 15:1-4. Believe in Jesus Christ’s work on the Cross, His death, burial and resurrection and you will receive Christ’s righteousness. When God looks at you after this, He doesn’t see a single sin you have committed. He only sees Christ’s righteousness.

1) Having an affair with a married man.2) Having a child out of wedlock. 3) Leaving that child in an orphanage for 19 months. 4) Paying nuns to lie for you. 5) Lying to the world that you "adopted" your own child. 6) Lying to your child about her parentage. 7) Having your child's ears surgically altered to hide the remblance to her father. 8)Not telling Mr.Gable that he had a daughter. 9) Purporting to be a perfect, virginal pious woman.
