The best "Miracle on 34th Street" ever made. It has truly stood the test of time. One of my favourite movies at this time of year. Superb actors, now legends. Happy holidays 2023 ❤
Wow! The colorization brings the entire film TO LIFE! It's like going back in time to New York as it was. Thank you so much for uploading. Cheers from Canada!
Some movies lend themselves to Colorization, and some movies, not so much. This movie is a clear-cut case of being in that rarefied atmosphere as being perfect for Colorization. Thank you for uploading this video. It is a treasure.
Thank you my Christmas eve tradition since my children were young watch Christmas movies and have a drop of cognac I'm 70 now and enjoying this movie a very merry Christmas to you and yours
This movie was both well written and superbly acted. Also enjoyed seeing the smart fashions of the day. The characterizations of Kris Kringle vs Macy's self proclaimed psychologist were brilliant. All make this piece of nostalgia a yearly treat at Christmas time. ❤ 🎄🎁
Thank you for this. I’ve been looking forward to the colorized version for so long and could never find it so I really appreciate this in so many ways. What an amazing movie. I hope you have a merry Christmas this year too.
I've always loved this story. And in such lovely colours it's even more engaging. "Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to." Thank you so much!
A Department Store in Melbourne had the same policy, that when someone knows what they want, but didn’t have the item , the calls would be made to other nearby stores or that special item. That store is now, sadly, closed.
Always wondered why they put the christmas sceptic in charge of the christmas parade, lol, that woman has no imagination, and they give her the biggest gig of the year to organise lol
😂if you want Too get real, about it 😮. THAT woman, is clearly, suffering from anxiety, depression, anger ETC from a trying divorce 😮😮😮😮. 😂😢😅 funny you, didn't mention, the fact that because of her past, she has put her CRAP onto her child, forcing her negative beliefs on her. Making her not to believe in Father Christmas 🍋🤔🤬(not Santa). Shocking, for a 1947 movie 😮
I like this original Christmas movie. Santa Claus should not become violent and he should to be a good role model for kids.I like Natalie Wood she was cute little girl and good actress. It sad Natalie Wood die so young.
Miracle on 34th Street (1947) After a divorced New York mother hires a nice old man to play Santa Claus at Macy's, she is startled by his claim to be the genuine article. When his sanity is questioned, a lawyer defends him in court by arguing that he's not mistaken. - imdb 7.9
Her Mother talking about how fairytales are not a good idea some little girl waiting on Prince Charming and he turns out to be... Well considering what happened to Natalie Wood...
I am canadian. And as a canadian I ought to mention that if we are asked who was the first canadian Prime Minister, we will all be a bunch of fools (Answer: John A. Macdonald).
How sad. Times change the God stays the same. Believe in that. 🇨🇦 Then check out the other version of this movie. I think it's just as good.🎄Merry Christmas!
I was a film archivist for more than three decades: colorizing b/w footage is against every archival principle there is unless a color film's colors are fading and there is no other material available for preservation. I wish people would stop doing b/w colorization. 😝😝
I completely agree with you! It is sacrilege. The way B/W films are lit is completely different from the methods used for colour films. Plus the colours are never properly “true”. People’s faces look like the actors are suffering from jaundice. Thanks for your comment!
Ba Humbug! You might as well bury the films in the backyard or burn them. This colorization technology miracle creates a slim chance that these works may still be watched by people in the future. The is a whole new generation that has never experienced B/W and refuse to watch it. There is so much more at stake than lighting...
😮wow, 😳 for a 1940's, movie, they certainly had no filters 😮. Quite NNNAAASSSTTTYYY 🙄🤔. That mother's was a nut. She's the one that should of been committed 😂. The young janitor, was so sweet, (couldn't believe, the he was pretty much TOLD he is fat). LOVED chris c😅. Nothing much has changed, with people assuming, mental illness 😢. Why were , people sqying, santi claus. Actually Father Christmas 😮. 🥺💓. I know right, not everyone say Santa Claus 😲💢. Anyway, over all a nice movie 🎥🍿
When I was around 5yrs old when my mother went into the city, Sydney, she would always take us to Macy's for lunch, I absolutely love it, we hardly did anything like that so it was special to me. I always had a bowl of tomato soup and then sausages with gravy, pea's and mash. Don't know when Macy's shut down, but the outside of the building still has it's name in plaster work.
Heart like a lump of coal. How can you be so nasty to a nice person who make the effort of posting a wonderful movie for all to enjoy. Food for thought at this time of year...
You have been given the gift of a technological miracle, and a warm family classic. All you can do is complain about a trivial spelling mistake and want to deny this wonderful film to the potential young viewers who would otherwise never watch a Black & White film. I celebrate these gifts. Merry Christmas (if you can manage). Cheers.

I’m such a sentimental fool - I teared-up when they brought in the bags of mail for Kris!
I've always loved this story. And in such lovely colours it's even more engaging. "Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to." Thank you so much!

Shocking, for a 1947 movie 😮
Always wondered why some are too lazy to capitalize Christmas.
Why not save time and write x-mas?
She has to be that way for the sake of the story.
a yearly must do.................
miracle....miracle.....
It's obvious who the leading man in this picture is, it is Edmund Gwenn, yet he was only billed as supporting actor, for which he won an award for.
I like this original Christmas movie. Santa Claus should not become violent and he should to be a good role model for kids.I like Natalie Wood she was cute little girl and good actress. It sad Natalie Wood die so young.
I am not sure how many people realize that the young girl is Natalie Wood.

why thanksgiving parade is so called Christmas parade?
Do you remember before a time of an army of susie walkers mommies.
Her Mother talking about how fairytales are not a good idea some little girl waiting on Prince Charming and he turns out to be...
Well considering what happened to Natalie Wood...
Maureen O'Hara is also Ronan Farrows grandmother for anyone wondering where he gets his good looks.
Maureen O'Sullivan was Farrow's grandmother, not Maureen O'Hara.

I don't mind it. Some old black and white films I'd love to see what 5he costumes and scenery were like.

Macy's & %.
Macy's is a department store in thi USA.😢

I know that, BUT YOU Americans are so ignorant 😢.
I'm across the other side of the world.
You wouldn't have a clue.

Spelling: Miracle not miricle
I think you need a spelling class if you’re going to post titles!
Ouch
Be nice, be polite, thank you,
Heart like a lump of coal. How can you be so nasty to a nice person who make the effort of posting a wonderful movie for all to enjoy. Food for thought at this time of year...
Ruin a classic with colourizing and incorrectly spell the title.
It’s beyond my comprehension how anyone can watch these bastardized versions!
You have been given the gift of a technological miracle, and a warm family classic.
