Thank you for this! We went over this in a class today but the instructor went through it so fast that I didn't know wtf was going on. 🤣 You're awesome!
Great tutorial. I’m a beginner skater in my 50s and was struggling with pivots but after practicing the moves in your video and I’m actually starting to pivot. Thank you!
Great video!!😝 In part 2 please explain your foot mechanics… when are you on your heels to turn, and when are you on your toes. Can’t wait for the follow up!!!!🙏🏽
I was looking forward to part 2 for those reasons too! However, I found this video from Andvilsk8s Zen Skate School that breaks down the movement and weight shifting of pivots very well: th-cam.com/video/KBPhhm27MFY/w-d-xo.html. Hope it helps!
This is a perfectly timely video! This is exactly what I was looking for and just about right where I'm at in my skating! Thanks so much! Ps what wheels are you rocking? They look small? Do you like them outdoors?
The autofocus is wildin haha. You could try auto locking it maybe. Ive been working on pivots and crazy legs rn. I don’t think my legs are ready because I still get mad wobbles when I go too fast on my toes. ❤
Thank you for the video! I think it would have been helpful if you told us when you are on the balls of your feet vs. the heels. I noticed you switched at different times.
This video is very funny and insightful . Love it . However , is it possible to share the mechanics of feet and body coordination ? I have to understand what my feet are actually doing example , no pressure on the balls of feet or toes should be up . I hope this makes sense .
Thank you! I noticed sometimes you’re in your heels and sometimes on your toes. Like for example for the begginer level you’re on your toes then around 3 min ish in you’d switch from heels and toes the rest of the vid. How do you know when do to heel vs toe?:)
Hey what's going on diamond mr. OG Silver Fox in Brooklyn. I'm having a little problem with the pivoting transition on one leg due to my sciatica, can you give me any pointers most likely I'll have to strengthen my legs oh my gluteus maximus sciatic is no joke but when I'm skating it's like I don't have sciatica anymore it's weird when I sit and watch TV beside if it kicks in if I can live on skates that would have been ideal
I just wished I lived closer for 1 on 1 classes. I have such a hard time following online classes. I thinks it’s mostly because I’m still not understanding body positions
@@DiamondWalker Im about an hour from NYC. I am somewhat close to Newark. I thought about taking a lesson at Branch Brook Rink. I just work weird hours
@@Farmhouseandvintage Oh okay! There’s a bunch of skaters in the NY area. I hear Brandon Young’s classes are great! I believe he does 1 on 1 privates as well.
I have a problem with only feeling confident with one leg and not on the other. As well as directions. I only know one leg, one direction. Is there a way to fix this?
You crack me up and I like your natural ways 😂 The teaching is pretty good too…thank you for sharing and doing all this work 😊 ❤🛼🛼🙏🏼 I was just looking for learning this move and very nice to have different levels for us to learn… yes part II 👍🏼

My wife and I found this not only hilarious but very helpful for improving as an all around skater. We really enjoy your videos....keep it up!
Hahaha that’s awesome!! It’s crazy how we never met but have a connection. Glad I can help 🙏🏽
Content is dope!
Intro is awesome 👏
Audio, Auto focus… don’t even worry about it. It’s part of the journey and growth, I’m enjoying it for what it is.

No problem I got you!
I’m wearing suregrip velvet wheels and they’re supposed to be for indoor only So I wouldn’t suggest them for outdoor skating.
The autofocus is wildin haha. You could try auto locking it maybe.

Hahaha yeah I should of manually did it.
Slow it down and your legs will build that muscle memory
dope vid DW.. even with no proper audio..lol your skating skillz are super dope..

Thats a great request. I'll see about adding a close up view when I'm going over certain movements and balance
Very smart tutorial 🙏🏼 thank u 😊
You’re very welcome! Glad you like it 👍🏽
So helpful thank you
Thank you so much !!! ❤
Thank you.
Great videos! You often skate underneath the museum? Riverwalk at all?
No I rarely skate on the riverwalk. It’s too busy

Are you always turning/pivoting on the balls of your feet or do you switch the heels sometimes?
So sometimes I switch to my heel when I’m free styling just to change it up
Hey I have a question what is a good beginner skate for under $200 For indoor skating
I have had have the same question. I preserves sure grips board walk… I going to buy indoor wheels…
I think the outro is absolutely terrib-terrific
Maybe confuse but very helpfull, i will practice it ✌🏾🤩🇧🇷❤

Do you have a trucks looseness/tightness video? How loose are yours? 👀
I don’t but maybe I’ll one soon!
My trucks are pretty loose
I need skates recommendations 😢
I just wished I lived closer for 1 on 1 classes. I have such a hard time following online classes. I thinks it’s mostly because I’m still not understanding body positions
Where do you live? I know skaters in pretty much every state. Maybe you could do a 1 on 1 with someone in your town.

United skates?

Practice skills on both sides
Should my trucks be loose?...I see yours have give
Great question! it’s skaters preference but I skate mine pretty loose
Hard to follow. You are an amazing skater with very good technique. I hope you can iron out the kinks in video production.
