@@dariushcreatesIn a way, he kinda has. Or at least, he worked on one. He helped animate for Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, which is possibly my favorite adaptation of the story.
Didn't think the result to watching these guides would be me having an existential crisis about all the replacement puppets and parts I've made for my stop motion projects over the years... 👀
You can tell how much Cran has learned these last few years and working on that movie. The animation is so smooth, the character expressions are so refined and even tho it’s only a small sample the writing is fantastic! I can’t wait to see more
5:41 this entire scene is the sign of a perfect friendship coming from 2 rivals questioning about themselfs after fighting and arguing multiple times, this is so well made.
AAAAAA THAT WAS SO GOOD!!! AMAZING JOB CRANBERSHER!!!! The setting, the dialogue, the voice acting and the MOTION DETAILS!!! i'm so glad you made this series
Patiently waited 3 years for this and it was WELL WORTH IT! I’m glad we’re finally getting the conclusion and I will wait as long as I have to so I can see it!
Cranbusher, I love you man. Your stuff always brings me joy. Glad to see the guides are still getting worked on, even after all this time. Thank you, Cranbusher.
jeez, the stop motion animation is just absolutely amazing, from the little details like the log moving from his weight to tiny shoulder movements, lord, i wish i had someone tell me these things when i was in animation college lol i feel all my knowledge from 10 years ago is now obsolete lol
NO BECAUSE THE PARRELS OF THE HUG FROM FACIAL ANIMATION AND NOW IS SO HURTFUL "don't come back" to "i'm glad you came back" PLEASEE PLEASE LET THEM BE HAPPY
Smoother than a milkshake, oh my gosh. Everything is so fluid, and the expressions and body language are so nuanced. Had to watch this over lunch break or I'd go insane during the rest of my shift waiting to watch it. Well done, Cranman.
I love all of this so much~. Still adore how well the voice acting and expressions match up. That is something many people do not put enough effort in with animations of any sort. It makes stop motion all the better tho~
holy shit i have been waiting so many years for this and the wait was entirely worth it!! so so happy to see this story continuing and i can’t stop watching to see what happens next!!! this series has got me on the edge of my seat! keep it up cranbersher you are doing some truly exceptional things!!
When i laid my eyes on this channel, i remember the markiplier videos, then he worked on pinocchio, and now this amazing series, never knew i see this legend again, your animations bring me joy
The wait is so worth it! The animation is a sight to behold and with well done writing. It’s clear that the years of stop motion has paid off! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for the future!
God this has some of the best subtle character animation I've seen in a long time. Genuinely impressed, love the neutral mouths that were kinda foreshadowed in the lip sync episode, they were implemented really well. The dialogue felt so natural as well which is impressive when you're playing both of the characters. And I'd love to know how you did the mixed shot of stop motion and real time footage of you closing the window. Crazy stuff. Can't wait for the next episode!
IT’S HAPPENINGGGG the motion blurs so it looks smooth while not being so smooth it isn’t stop motion anymore “i’m glad you came back” mirroring their first hug but it actually being genuine with the same framing and closeups and everything! that compulsion comment from newbersher sounds like it’s still gonna be relevant o.o’ i’m SO EXCITED.
This was ABSOLUTELY worth waiting for! Watching this, you almost forget that each frame and pose was manually and meticulously crafted, because it looked so genuinely human and fluid. I don't say this very often but, Cranbersher, you are a genius at your craft and produce masterful work! Thankyou for sharing your skills in such an entertaining way! ❤
Woke up, felt so groggy because I havent SLEPT in days. Saw the notification and i just felt giddy and so so happy! THANK YOU CRANBERSHER! you literally made my day!
Genuinely been following this series for years and I’m so so glad I’ve stuck around Seeing your animation improve and the story grow and progress is absolutely amazing Really hope I can support you more in any way you deserve so much so happy to see you’ve stayed determined to finish the series cant wait to see the next 2 episodes It’s been amazing watching the updates go by on your twitter
The animation is absolutely gorgeous, really shows your progress. The set? Amazing. I’m so dang glad NP is finally APOLOGIZING and being willing to listen to OP. Great stuff. I still have so many dang questions
Throughout this entire thing, I completely forgot I was looking at crafted dolls with felt skin and clothes and yarn hair. That's how good the movement is. I saw them as people instead.
How a literal tutorial series somehow became the deepest lore existential dread is brilliant, and it has the highest quality animation possible. I hope you're not working yourself to death to make this!
This is so well made!! I love all the little movements, it makes the puppets feel truly alive. It's so smooth too. I'm just in awe! And great voice work on top. 😍
DUDE YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE ME CRY. This is so genuinely amazing in every way. I first started watching you 9 years ago, and now I'm in animation school myself. You're such a huge inspiration man, keep making awesome stuff.
I was just watching the previous episodes a few days back. Can't believe that was 4 years ago and now seeing these back after so long makes me so happy, I missed your videos!
IM SO EXCITED ITS FINALLY HERE 🎉🎉🎉 Here’s some of my favorite little animation details that I can’t stop rewatching: 0:52 lil sideways head bob when he says “literally” is so realistic 1:46 how tf do you get a puppet to shrug?? wires? alchemy? 2:42 camera shots where most of the screen is the character’s invisible thought bubble are so peak 3:00 good head bobs. impeccable. 4:24 the “go ahead” motion was so small but so perfectly crystal clear I could almost hear him say it omfg 4:59 and 5:34 look at his hands when he plunks em back in his lap!! Signature Cranbersher arm wiggle, babyyy 5:56 can you imagine how fiddly it is to get two characters to hug in stop motion. jeez 6:14 I’ve been so impressed with the run and jump animations since Edification, they’re so rad 6:24 love how you can see the different puppet-making styles between them in this last shot
THE LOREEEEEEE!!! Man I love your animation its so fluid and just a good on the eyes. I can tell you work really hard on this. We greatly appreciate it ❤ Your doing amazing work!! Love you!!!
Man, I am loving your originality and quality it takes to make one of these. The fact that it has been 4 years is insane, but I was waiting, and it was worth it! I know it will keep getting better, and I am so happy to see the FIRST part of this amazing project you have been stewing for so long. Hope this can get to a MILLION VIEWS! People need to see this!!! I'm actually working on a Kickstarter right now! It's going to launch soon, and this project was one of the inspirations! Thanks dude.
ITS HEEEEEEERRRRE oh man oh boy oh boy. first things first, the decor looks great. the animation is so smooth, the little details like the fidgeting and the new mouth microexpressions are a really cool touch, we can feel your progress when it comes to your craft also HOLY SHIT??? FRIENDS??? THE PARALLELS WITH THE HUG AND THE "i'm glad you came back' AS OPPOSED TO THE 'don't come back'??? the fact that OP initiated the hug and if you look closely just before he goes in for it he really looks like he *needs* one? thats my fucking son right there i love him so much. i can't wait to have an OP of my own at my house to proudly display. i'll need to make him eyes and a mouth just like you make so he can be happy too. i wonder what comes next. and if we'll somehow tie everything in with Broken. i miss them, funky little eldritch horror puppet fusion.
This is stunning. It is crazy to see how much your skills have improved over the years. I've been watching since near the very beginning and I've loved every second of it. You are doing great, Cranbersher!!!
Your quality has upped so damn much since!! The talking pantomime was so friggin good though this!!! Will definitely be looking back at this when I'm needing to practice my pantomime ^-^ I didn't realise until now how much the little non-speech things mattered too, even just the little "tut" before starting to speak adds so much! :D
Man I remember you from your Markiplier fan animations, the improvement since then is amazing! This is some of the smoothest, most endearing stop motion I’ve seen on TH-cam I think ever. Wonderful work!
BRILLANT!!!! Your return to these characters was very well done and worth the wait! You haven't missed a step. Also its really hard to that this isn't a real forest and I can't anyone saying that so I am, very well done on the set design!
Whatcha seeing there NP...🤔 Hard to believe that it's finally here, the beginning of the end! The big wait is over, and somehow it doesn't feel like 8 years since the introduction to Guide. The production is phenomenal for a youtube release. So glad I backed this project, and cannot wait till we can learn more of everything that is going on with them two.
I've been following the project updates for a while, so I was so excited to see this released today! The emotions hit and it's cool to see the puppets outdoors. Awesome work!
I think it really speaks to your ability as a storyteller that I can watch this, having never heard of it before, and still manage to get the picture of each character's personality. And I'm definitely intrigued about everything that happened leading up to this.
Oliver you genius!! I love the pacing and detail and the lore of this series. Things have changed a lot since the original series but I’m so happy to see this return! Keep up the great work dude!
As usual, the animation is spot on! What I didn’t expect was the story! You could piece together what was going on and the conversations were so realistic! Amazing work buddy!
3:06 I just KEEP rewatching this part especially, the way you've captured such intricate expressions on simplified puppets is just fantastic. Such a big fan of your work!!!
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR YEARS AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!! Probably the best stop-motion I've ever seen on TH-cam ughhh the animation is so frickin smooth and I shed a tear when they hugged in the end this is so beautiful keep up the amazing work Cran!!!!❤❤
I wish I was able to give more during the Kickstarter, but was just a Wendy's worker trying to get through college then. But I'm glad it worked and I'm able to see the boys back. I'm really proud of you cran
I must say I absolutely adore the animation and how much effort you put into the stop motion animation. Like omfg the subtle little “well go on” motion when orange shirt was waiting on grey shirt to explain himself was *chefs kiss 10000/10
How this doesn't have a million views or more, I'll never know as it truly deserves it for being one of the best stop motion animation that's ever been published onto TH-cam. Everything is just so fluid and expressively animated that it genuinely feels like its from a big budgeted film ;) Now I'm hooked to the story and and I cannot wait to see where you'll take it!
Every onc ein a while I come back to your channel, to dwell in memories from a decade ago - and then I realize how much you have grown, as an artist as a creator. And IT MAKES ME FEEL SO PROUD OF YOU. I hope you have a fantastic day, Cranbersher. Thank you for the memories. I can't wait to see what you still have in store for us.
I don't know what to say. I'm really, really glad I waited for this. It was delightful being a backer! It's been so much fun seeing the progress updates these past few years. Now, finally watching the first animation in the finale, I think I might cry a little bit. I'm really glad they're finally friends, and choosing to work together. I'm extremely excited to see where this goes next. Not to mention how skillfully this is animated! Your animation has improved so much! The subtle expressions add so much (and are part of the reason why I want to cry a little, ahah). I'm really glad this is a project you got to finish. Looking forward to the next installments.

I think this might unironically be the best stop motion animation I've ever seen on TH-cam. Genuinely.
I said once that if Cranbersher made a whole movie, I would deffo watch it!

Cranbusher, I love you man. Your stuff always brings me joy. Glad to see the guides are still getting worked on, even after all this time. Thank you, Cranbusher.
Dude they move like actual people while maintaining the fact they’re puppets and I’m just in awe by it

Holy crap your a animation is so smooth it’s insane
I am so happy this is out now. My life has change so much since being a kid watching the series yet I'm still back just as excited to see it continue

AHHH! THE CINEMATOGRAPHY! THE PARALLELS! THE EMOTION! Oliver you have truly out done yourself with this, absolutely amazing!
I love all of this so much~.

Following this series has been a delight!! I keep rewatching it! the animation it's just too good! I adore it!
It's been years since the last episode of the series and it's been so worth it.
Had to go back and rewatch everything and I am now so hopelessly invested in these little dudes help
I have ABSOLUTELY no idea about what's happening BUT! I. Love. This. Absolute perfection.
3:06 I just KEEP rewatching this part especially, the way you've captured such intricate expressions on simplified puppets is just fantastic. Such a big fan of your work!!!
I think stop motion lends itself to existential crisis more than other forms of animation because that’s a physical doll you force to move around
THIS IS HYPE! Amazing animation work and character writing!
Dude, great work! I can't believe how many years it's been but I'm happy to be along for the ride!
You are an absolute master of your craft. This is so SMOOTH. and the subtle expressions, the body language! Amazing!!

Ah, some good ol' Existential Dread. I love it!
