David is a godamned legend. I always loved his bluesy voice going back to the Purple days. For me, the Vai/Vandenburg Whitesnake was the best. The video from the 1990 Donnington show with both of them is an absolute guitar masterclass. So glad Eddie, Don and Jim are back!!
Great show guys 👏👏👏 Thank you for inviting David to the show. David Coverdale is a legend and one of the greatest rock singers of all time. Always nice, funny, kind, such a gentleman and one of the few who really respects and loves his fans and audience. A man who has given so much to rock music ❤️
All i can say is please keep what you guys are doing moving forward. All of us who realize Charlie, and now David have given to the rock scene for countless years, David now 50 years since the Burn Album, its these moments in time to see our music Legends interviewed in such a relaxed space and giving it their all honestly. This channel is our demographic that is important to see all if course all the latest news of our favorite bands and new a as they appear on the scene and everything in between. Keep it going, love what you guys are doing..🎸🤘🎸🤘!!
I grew up in the 80s watching MTV and of course I was blown away by “ Slow And Easy “ and “ Love Ain’t No Stranger “, my first experience with White snake and David Coverdale! Thank you sharing this video!
My top 6 Coverdale LP's. Just got to watch it. I'm a longtime DC fan. My tastes are different because I had all of the Whitesnake import LP's. 1. Burn(74) Killer record. 2. Slide It In. (1984) Probably one of the best. 3. Saints and Sinners(1982) Maybe the best one. The UK version anyway, imho. 4. Stormbringer(1974) Has one of the best Purple songs of all time. The title cut. 5. Live...In The Heart of the City. (1980) I'm a sucker for live albums. I prefer vinyl. 6.Ready An' Willing(1980) Very underrated record.
Amazing episode bros! DC is rock royalty and criminally underrated. I love everything he has put out but there’s a soft spot for the 87 album for me. That was my first cassette I ever bought at eight years old and my introduction to rock. It set the fire for music that I have and it still burns strong to this day. My life would be completely different without those songs. I proudly have the album cover tattooed on my right arm. I hope I can one day meet Mr. Coverdale and thank him for the positive impact he has made in my life
Stoked to see the trio back at it!!! I was super bummed that Whitesnake pulled out of the last tour with the Scorps. I literally bought front row seats to see Whitesnake but the Scorps never dissapoint. Hopefully Coverdale puts the band back on the road soon
DC & GH sit-down video.. please let’s make it happen! Recounting their memories of the Deep Purple MK3-MK4 days. NorthWinds David Coverdale’s 1978 solo is my favourite vocal performance.
Good to see you guys back together! It's been a long time coming. I was just wondering, well you guys cover bands like Eclipse, H.E.A.T., The Defiants.
Slide It In got me through my exams when I was 15 - I wore that record out I STILL, 40 years later know every track, every lyric backwards, that's no.1 for me, 2. Come an' Get it, 3. Burn, 4. Coverdale Paige, 5. Stormbringer
Love that’s there’s actually a “show” I look forward to watching! Re: Coverdale, Burn I put #1; saw the Come Taste the Band tour at Radio City, Nazareth opened and John Bonham made an appearance-can’t argue with all these great choices. And thanks guys for another great episode!!✌️🤘
First of all, it is great to see some form of ROCK from you guys. Eddie, you may not actually know how many of us there is whom were not musically talented but the sound of rock was meant the last. As far a the comment about asking about a certain band. Making the comment you can always get online and find out, truth be told maybe they are that much of a fan that would ask since Eddie has a history of talking to so many incredible musicians. So from a different perspective is awesome is you are willing to listen, Anyway great to get info from its one of the most respected and loved Rock and Roll fan.
Great show! You should get that band Turbo Lovers on. Their album Lettin it Fly is great. Found those guys on some list of New Rock Band music of 2022. Great driving turn up the stereo music.
We saw David,Deep Purple @ the California Jam in 1974,just a fantastic show. Of course there were many, many more Whitesnake shows we attended over the ensuing years. One show that sticks out was Dio, Whitesnake @ the Santa Cruz co. Fairgrounds in 85 or 86, talk about using that mic-stand as a prop, Coverdale was absolutely on fire, stole the show. John Lord was on keyboards.😎
I noticed from the first show, a bunch of folks joining TH-cam to watch and to comment on the channel!! So Ed, Jim is correct about TH-cam “newbs”! Welcome aboard the “Tube Train”!! 🙂👍🏼🤘🏻🤘🏻
Second one was awesome brothers, keep rocking, we need you guys; really we need you in this day and age of machinism, I love listening to you guys however I can: Eddie Trunk podcast, Jim’s Everybody’s awful podcast,… appreciate what’s you’re doing 🫡🙇🏻♂️🤘🏻 big fan from Iran 🇮🇷
Page's next records after Coverdale-Page were the 1994 No Quarter MTV concert album with Plant and the 1998 Plant-Page studio record Walking into Clarksdale.
Corey Taylor is awesome His covers are so true to the originals while making it his own Lunatic Fringe!!! Who ever thought someone like Corey would cover Red Rider Amazing! And The Dark Side....forget about it!🎶
@MikeG66 Red Rider was pretty big in Canada in the eighties, and the singer Tom Cochrane went on to have a pretty successful solo career with Life Is A Highway being one of his biggest hits
@@deanovanno Oh really ? The only song I knew was that one , it's the only one that got airplay and then I never heard anything else from them.✌️ PS I think I remember vaguely that song , was it on MTV back in the day?
@MikeG66 Life Is A Highway probably had some MTV airplay Here's a link to one of their most popular songs Red Rider - White Hot / GordonYYZ th-cam.com/video/_wyWfklvNHc/w-d-xo.html
I'm going to go with deep purple burn. Mostly because I was listening to deep purple before whitesnake and David Coverdale is an absolute beast. I love whitesnake but definitely going with burn.
The show is new and great but I hope the team take a look and interview people from the European Power Metal scene. Banda like Helloween, Stratovarius, Blind Guardian are huge and loved in Europe and other parts of the world, and they hace decades playing around the the world., I think this can make a more complete show,, a better all metal inclusive place.
We have a singer hear in Atlanta in a tribute band (that the band, AC/DC, actually talked to about joining) who can out sing both Brian and Axle. He could do those shows.
1) " Come Taste the Band" with the late " Tommy Bolin". 75
2) David Coverdale - Northwinds - 77
3) Whitesnake- Saints & Sinners 82
Great show. I've really missed The Metal Show and the chemistry the three of you have. GREAT stuff. .
Another brilliant episode. Coverdale is absolutely hilarious.
YES YES YES YES YES YES
They are back!!!!!!!!!
I love this show…..
Eddie, Jim, Don, thank you for coming back!!!!!!!!

Coverdale was cool!.
I've heard him many times on Eddie's radio shows. Special human being. Funny af, as well.
87 white snake top notch album
I'm late to party. It's great seeing these 3 back in action together.
David Coverdale, my number one lead singer.
Thanks for bringin' him to the show.

Page's next records after Coverdale-Page were the 1994 No Quarter MTV concert album with Plant and the 1998 Plant-Page studio record Walking into Clarksdale.
They are excellent albums. Clarksdale I didn’t like at first but after years I really like it, it took a long time for me to get into haha.
Luv it 🤘🤘
Amazing! Just AMAZING!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
How does one not know about TH-cam?!? 😂 That’s absolutely mind boggling. Great show guys! Keep this shit up!

I want That tie, Mr. Coverdale.
We need some Budgie and Green Jello/Jelly lol
Great Show guys 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Welcome back dudes 🎸 🤘
Eddie, right ! As you well said, DP are kings, it is a pity Americans prefer LZ, which is algo great, but Purple should be first always.
Gotta love Coverdale, what a dude!
KickAss Boys !!! 🍻🤪
New fan. Never had sirius back in the day. Been a big fan of florentine since a kid tho. This was good.
They weren't on sirius they used to be on VH 1....
@@mikeg6666 ah shit. Thought they had a sirius xm show haha. Idk why. I def. Didn't watch VH1. Wasn't ever a TV kid.
@@HawkTawk It was only like 10 years ago or so when they had that show...
