How to add someone on Skype

Watch these steps shown in this video about how to add someone on Skype .
1. Choose the Add a Contact option at the top of the screen and this usually has
a + sign with a silhouette.
2. Search for the individual to be added, i.e. you can search by the name, email
address or Skype username. The person should be a registered user on
Skype.
3. Go through the results which may be quite a few if you are using the real
name. In case you are having problems, ask for the person’s Skype username
or their registered email address.
4. Add the person to the list by clicking the name and then choosing Add to
Contacts in the upper right portion. There will be a new window opening
with a message to the person being added. This can be customized if you
want.
5. Wait for acceptance from the person of the request. Once the request has
been accepted, the status icon will be visible.
6. If you wish to import contacts in bulk from another application, the Import
Contacts option can be used to get contacts from Outlook, Facebook and
several other webmail programs. Go to the Contacts option and choose
Import Contacts. Thereafter, choose where you wish to import from and
enter the password and username for this particular service. Everyone will
be shown from the imported contact list with Skype accounts. Choose Add
Contacts to get them all into your list on Skype. If you wish to remove
someone, uncheck the box beside the name of a particular individual.
7. Choose sending messages to people without Skype accounts. This step can
be skipped as well.
8. The contacts’ status will not be visible to you until they accept the request
you have just sent.

I really dislike the voice. Plus, if the person does not come up as a possible contact, you don't explain how to add them. Not helpful at all. And annoying voice.
