Hardwood is a good time. I spent a lot of time riding their trails when I started mountain biking back in 2016. The climbs were dreadful back then for me and now they are so much easier. Great trails, well maintained and excellent staff. Great video! Looking forward to seeing the top 3!
I used to race regularly (a couple of times a year) at Hardwood but never really rode the trails outside of a race - always thought why would I pay when SCMB Oro is so close and free. But what they have done at Hardwood really impressed me, particularly with all of the features, and the chalet and food truck is great. It's too far for me to ride regularly but I think I will try to get there at least once a year now.
@@sluggomtb7414 I didn't know of the Hub in Oro at the time and when I did learn of all the other trails around the area. I stopped going to Hardwood. I was there a month ago and it was a good time.
This was my other number one choice. Mainly because it seems to have lots of options that range from beginner to expert level; plus the fact that there's a place to grab a bite, on site. $20 for a day pass does seem steep but I guess it depends on where those funds are allocated. The amount of green and blue trails are appealing so I plan to visit within the next week or two.
I agree with you - it really does look like the trail pass fee is well spent there with great (well marked!) trails with something for everyone, fun features and amenities (including the chalet/meal truck). But even if the trails were free Hardwood would have scored higher but still not my number 1 location....!!
Wow, those features are amazing! What fun! Did you do Kolapore already? Are you going to put up a list of all 15 when you’re done? I have MTB friends who might be interested.
Kolapore was number 15 on my list - they are great trails with some really good technical challenges. I probably will include a list when the countdown is done - not sure if I would cover all 50 locations I went to in 2021 but maybe the top 20 or 25.
