    Man I've loved those Jewel baits for decades. All the way back to the old Eakins Jig 20-25 yrs ago. I live a stones throw from Midway, so Jewel is right next door, but that's certainly not the only reason I use em. They flat catch fish and ya don't have to sell the farm to buy em.

    Always used the finger on the line for spinning reel, but since switching to bait caster , I haven’t gotten into it . Will have to try an remind myself to do that again!!

    Love the finger under line tip. Not sure I could do that without injuring myself but will attempt it.

      I think because of angle, its harder for bank fishermen to work the jig on structure the right way. One thing that has helped me if I don't take the boat out and go fish for a quick stop is dragging super slow. I'm on Bull Shoals, so most of the lake drops quickly and has alot of rock ledges. I think the jig going the wrong way on a stepped bank throws things off. So I slow way down...when I get up on a shelf I twitch the line only which will slightly wiggle that jig. If they're watching it, that can get you bites. When moving the jig I'm dragging inches at a time (Im talking in the winter). It really helps when your pretty confident there are fish in the area so you don't feel your wasting time. It can at times be a blessing to be on the bank, because you pick the cover apart so much more thoughrowly, when that bite is slow and fish are locked down.
      Best of luck to ya!

      @haroldfields5189 Yes Sir, one more thing. One bait besides the Jewel jigs that's working well for that is the Z-man micro jig in green pumpkin with a blue "Missile baits drop shot craw bomb" for a trailer. We have those greenish craws with blue highlights around here and that mimics a tiny one perfectly! I have tore the Spots and Smallmouth up with them lately. I'll check the package of that Missile Bait to make sure I'm telling you correctly when I get home. Tight lines brother!

      @haroldfields5189 That was "Missle Drop Craw" the color that works well for me us Bruiser. I cut off about 1/4 inch of length before threading it on. Good Luck!

    I missed the Monday vid.
    Your outlook on fishing is amazing.
    Hey I see a lot of Pros with AquaViews on there boats but never talk about them.
    What are you all’s thoughts and feelings about the AquaView and Pros using them?

      I don't think it would be too bad a step down from other electronic's since aquaview has less visual out and less visual out in front and no down view and no side imaging and no view in the back I don't think it would do to much damage although you can actually see and catch the species of fish your out for in the fishing tournament advice because it is a free wire calm water is best unless you hook it up to the trolling motor securely.

    Great video. Very helpful!!!! My question is on a lake like that highland reservoir would it be better to start on the river end or head to the dam area. Looking for channel banks at either end??? Thanks. Also do you have your own TH-cam channel??

    • @BassFishingDeclassified
      @BassFishingDeclassified  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a great question. It is hard to answer it, lot of factors can decide which end to start on which comes down to weather. Typically the river section will be more stained and shallower so that narrows where the fish can be. Then down the lake will hold your bigger fish typically and water will be more clear.
      I do not have my own personal channel. Thanks for watching - Jimi.

    great information for channel swing baits, appreciate the details. Do you fish most of them at a 45 degree angle?

      We plan on that to happen. Lately lakes were froze over where he lives so he could not get out. He is at Florida now for a tournament. Stay tuned! - Jimi.
