I've been playing the Steinitz Variation for years, didn't know it'd become popular lately. 6. Be2 is definitely the best move for white, amazingly from 122 Steinitz Variation games in my database 6. Be2 has only been played twice (white won both). Good video, hope none of my opponents see it 😂
Really? That is very surprising. I played Scotch as my main repertoire and this variation was the first one that I learned because I always felt that there is something wrong with this, and I got smoked in my first tries vs it, the moves are not easy to find OTB

I play this variation in the past unfortunately 5.Nc3 and 6.Be2 black suffer a lot so i switch to 4...Bc5

I've played this a few times as white. It's pretty impossible to lose tbh i think White is winning in this variation.
what is this mio u r making my life hard by most of ur content and now u started uploading daily , it would be great if u dont do some videos against my repertoire . JK great work
