Here is an idea I used in my younger years when guitar was my life playing gigs everyday… I used to take four great players ( my favorites.. DiMeola, Akkerman, Howe, Oscar Peterson.. a complete mashup) transpose random 2 bar phrases.. pull them apart and reframe them as my own…into any length I wanted .. sometimes I would listen to old big band sax and trumpet players and pull some interesting tempo phrases into my phrasing.. Just thought to try if you want to extend your ideas on 1) listening, 2) transposing, 3) increasing your music theory, 4) learning to put together and think in phrasing, 5) having fun with it all …. You will be surprised what you come up with. This also takes you out of the rut of playing same ole thing every time …. If your really adventurous.. listen to different rhythms too and work those into your phrases too.. Cuban being my favorite..

Thank you very much Charlie. Yes mixing minor and major pentatonic has more variation than just minor pentatonic.
    It gives us more flexibility.

Give me the sheet and I’ll shut up!!!! I am a piano player but I am here for some good old fashion highway robbery! We’re talking musical thievery on a dramatic scale, pardon the pun! So I am listening! I really dig the ES 335 sound but I’ll take what I can get!

You are so right about the chromatics, only the best use them, your run of the mill rock-and-rollers seem to be clued out because chromatics necessitate an independent ring finger, terra incognita for the rockers LOL The first time I was struck with chromatics was while listening to Jimi Hendrix eons ago, that is. Now you know how old I am LOL
Thanks for your time and the ton of work putting this together!

there is one thing about everyone who shows tab ,why you always show the e b g d ,when we look at it it's upside down, I can tell you it's easier if you show the tab just like I was looking a at you play the guitar, the other way is just upside down, and for a beginner it's confusing

That is the way you see the guitar neck when you are playing and looking down on it though dude... Is first person perspective. Not third person.
      Not really that confusing.
