1 female crew stayed behind she died saving people and another crew member don't think he was working at the time was with his girlfriend they both helped others put life jackets on the kids and they also died is what the survivors had witnessed wanted give them credit for helping so many even if not all were able be saved..
The power of a lady planned this out, the captain was apart of this too. this is truly sad, I can’t imagine any of this to happen to relatives, drowning is the worst way to die. They were all very long. I hope they Rest In Peace.

imagine if those videos never recovered and no one knows that the captain really tell the students to stay at their place and never move I can imagine that he will lie to the people that he tell the students to evacuate. Thanks God those videos exist and we know what really happened inside specially what the captain tell them.

It could still be classified as survivors guilt. Literally one small chance decision was the reason they were left alive and not their friends.

These poor people are mourning the loss of their children, and someone sticks a camera in their face? Totally disrespectful, and had I been there, I'd have smashed their equipment too! Those crew and their captains were cowards and should be convicted as criminals. They told the kids to stay on the ship so they could save themselves on the life vessels. They should get maximum punishment.

The difference is titanic incident almost unsurvivable. It happened on the middle of ocean during the night with crazy low temperature. If u survive it's the incredible luck. But this ferry incident are very survive-able. Just use the life vest and jump to the water. That's it. But because of poor, selfish & idiot captain who told them to stay on their room, they re all doomed

The father who traveled from Seoul reminded me so much of the weeks and months after 9/11...I was an freshman living in one of NYU's downtown Manhattan dorms and the massive impromptu memorial wall in Washington Square Park was directly in front of my building, so I spent a lot of time just standing in the park looking at all the photos on those MISSING posters. I had many many people, foreign tourists and other Americans from out of state, randomly come up to me to tell me they were sorry as if they felt compelled to personally apologize for what happened.
When I first saw this News even not knowing any of them my heart broke and my tears run down my cheeks.. I cried for awhile feeling the pain for the lost! So many beautiful souls/lifes taken away that day and so many broken hearts! So I prayed and cried for them and their families and friends praying for strength, healing, and that someday they may be able to overcome all that pain! I know how hard it is to lose someone close to you and I still hurt but thank God I am still able to walk forward with a smile and give my support to others in need!

I was a junior in HS in Kentucky when this happened and I remember seeing it on our news channels and it was just so awful to watch it happen and play out on tv. I couldn't imagine what it must of been like for those families and town and even for Korea as a whole. I will never understand how the crew of that boat just left them there.

If it was me I would of try to get every child out of the boat. I'm a mother myself and if I was in that boat...I would never listen and get as much kids out if a boat is sinking. Even I would have to throw my kids off the boat I would. So devastating that 😢💔 .
It's gonna be 10 years, I just wish they rest easy now, they went through a lot, just rest easy, my heart will always have a void, always, they did nothing to go through that hellish experience, my heart will always go out to those who were affected by this tragedy, which in the first place should've NEVER HAPPENED! Imagine the dream the teenagers had to grow up to get married to have kids to buy there own house to be grandparents. The kids thought it would be a nice field trip to make some new friends. The parents must have felt this emotion none of us have ever felt before the parents must have always wanted the best for their kids even when their kids were the most respectful R.I.P 🎗

Oh my how must have those kids felt sinking not being able to breathe anymore as the water was rising it sends chills down my spine thinkinkg about it. They were just inocent kids who just stepped in to the world and were taken from they're familles, so many more could have been saved so many more could have survived they did not deserve that! And they're parents i fell so sad for them they just thought oh they will be back after the trip they did not expect they're children to die and in such a horrific way, god let those families be better now
