OMG!! Yes!! 😃 A full video on all the thrillers you've loved!! Your List Videos often introduce me to several titles I hadn't heard of or given a chance yet. That would be excellent!! 👏👏👏 😊
Girl, I have become such a thriller snob. So true about the saturated market. Recently, I had a surprise hit with Who is Maud Dixon? I really enjoyed that one, but I don't really trust my own opinion with thrillers anymore. Love hearing yours.
Lisa Jewell is my favorite thriller author. Please read more of her books 😊 My faves of hers are Then She Was Gone and The Night She Disappeared. She’s a fantastic writer I always get so attached to her characters and end up feeling so bad for them that I have to remind myself that it’s fiction 😅
Read Blake Crouch. His other thrillers are pretty good(excluding Dark Matter and Excursion). Also, Gregg Hurwitz is solid. His stand-alone books especially
Ok this is wild! Last night I literally just finished my first Lisa Jewell book Then She Was Gone. I loved it SO MUCH thst I rushed right out to blindly buy this exact book you have and it’s in my car at this moment. Came home, sat down for lunch clicked on this video and I’m like what?! I had NEVER heard of her before either!! Can’t wait to start this one!!
I actually give The Guest List the credit for getting me back into reading as an adult; I read very sporadically after college but that book was so well written that it made me fall in love with reading for fun again
I'm Thinking Of Ending Things by Ian Reid. Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. The Child Finder by Rene Denfeld. Someone else commented already, which I agree, Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane. The Woman In The Window by A.J. Finn .
A recent thriller I read that I loved was Voices in the Snow by Darcy Coates. It kind of reminded me of a mixture of The Mist, The Day After Tomorrow, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and The Walking Dead. I love all of these movies and TV show so the book was right up my alley. I know there are 4 books total in the series and I'm excited to read the rest!
I have a book to suggest! After watching I'm Thinking of Ending Things on Netflix, I knew I had to find the book the film was based on. Even though I am a die-hard Charlie Kaufman fan, to me, the book was much better (sorry Charlie). Tighter; whilst still being able to evoke this highly ethereal and, at times, dreadful tone. That led me to pursue the other Iain Reid books which ultimately led me to Foe (Which so happens to be an Amazon movie released in 2023 - with the amazing Saoirse Ronan). Upon completion of Foe I found the novel a unique thriller that is a more approachable read. And, in saying that, even with various cues in the chapters leading up the climax, I did not call the ending. If you ask me, I believe the novel is superior to Thinking/Ending Things. And I truly think you would enjoy it.
My favorite thriller is All Is Not Forgotten by Wendy Walker. It's a psychological thriller and was one of the first thrillers I read. The last thriller I enjoyed was Don't Wake Up by Liz Lawler. It was her debut novel and it was really good for that!
I've read a lot of good stuff by Harlan Coben, but one of the thrillers that really stuck with me through years is "Projection" by Keith Ablow. Very short but so impactful. Also Simon Beckett's "The Chemistry of Death" and related books are great! Recommended. Recent disappointment "Birnam Wood" by Eleanor Catton. It was a nightmare for me to finish.
I also had never heard of Lisa Jewell and I was obsessed with that book. I really need to find more from her, oddly she was just announced as the author for a Jessica Jones book and since I love Jessica as a character I am intrigued
I loved the guest list but was kinda disappointed by Lucy Foley’s other work. I still have yet to find a Riley Sager that I really like so i will definitely try this one!
One of my recent reads was Blacktop Wasteland by S.A. Cosby.. omg so good! like a Tarantino movie. Though one critique is an overuse of similies and metaphors.. now it is set in Virginia US so I understand that is a bit of their southern culture but it was A LOT.. at least 1-4 per page 😅 would still recommemd though! 4⭐
From Lisa Jewell, I've read The Family Upstairs (didn't care for it), Then She Was Gone (don't remember any of it) then picked up The Girls in the Garden in a grocery store on a whim (liked it!). I just got None of This is True as my free BOTY pick from Book of the Month so hopefully I like that one! Only heard one reviewer didn't like it but most everyone does.. doesn't guarantee I'll like it lol but I'm excited to read it and see for myself!
Anda since you like slow burn thrillers, I highly recommend the psychological thriller How Can I Help You by Laura Sims. 🔥 it's an obsessive cat n mouse game between two library workers set in a library, and there are references to Shirley Jackson. I won't say more than that, really it's a book you should go into blind.. do not read the synopsis or inside flap... they kinda spoil something in it. Everyone I know who has read this has absolutely loved it - me included. One of my faves from last year.
Have you read Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister? It’s a time loop murder mystery/thriller and very well executed in my opinion. I saw a few minor things coming but the bigger twists were a pleasant surprise. Please check it out! And thanks for your recommendations! ❤
MAYBE THE MOST CAPTIVATING BOOK I'VE READ AS AN ADULT. A HOT YET SLOW BURN TO START. LOOK INTO IT. AMERICAN ELSEWHERE BY ROBERT JACKSON BENNETTE. NEW MEXICO TOWN NOT FOUND ON ANY MAP. KNOWN OF BY NO ONE UNTIL SHE GETS CLOSE, THEN JUST A FEW. HAS A HOTEL CALIFORNIA FEEL TO IT
Some of my favorite thriller books are Keep It in the Family by John Marrs, The Game by Scott Kershaw, Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky, and Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane.
I honestly hate the idea that thrillers have to have a crazy twist at the end. I read The Stillwater Girls, and it was pretty good until the ending "twist". Ruined the whole book for me.
Where tf have you been, anyways? I was looking for you on my recommended channels and couldn't find you or remember channel name. And instead, I kept being recommended a different girl's channel. I liked you better than her and was getting pissed tf off... but now you finally popped up again. Thank GOD. That other girl was getting annoying af.
I'm holding you personally responsible for interrupting my reading time 😂 i can't ignore your uploads! (Edit: I enjoyed the audiobook of None Of This Is True)
OMG!! Yes!! 😃 A full video on all the thrillers you've loved!! Your List Videos often introduce me to several titles I hadn't heard of or given a chance yet. That would be excellent!! 👏👏👏 😊
We need the story time of the girl you were talking about I mean we need the tea even if you don’t say her name 🫢
I ❤ your channel... Easily one of my top favorites. You rock, Anda!! 👍
Yes to the video of all the good thrillers :)

I can see why! It was such a fun ride and worth it all in the end.
I'm Thinking Of Ending Things by Ian Reid. Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. The Child Finder by Rene Denfeld. Someone else commented already, which I agree, Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane. The Woman In The Window by A.J. Finn .
I only seen the movie adaptation of shutter island. One of my favorites
You have to read the Family Upstairs and the Family Remains by Lisa Jewell. It’s some of her best work.
Yes! They were my 1st reads by her, since then, I've read a bunch of her blacklist.
Lisa Jewell The Family Upstairs is an amazing read ❤️
A recent thriller I read that I loved was Voices in the Snow by Darcy Coates. It kind of reminded me of a mixture of The Mist, The Day After Tomorrow, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and The Walking Dead. I love the dark winter series! In fact, I'm on the fourth book but refuse to read it because I'm not ready to let the characters go 😂
@@AndaKent omg I feel like I'd be the same way!! I was so excited to know that the characters were in the other books because I loved them so much!
I hadn’t read a book in so long but you motivated me to read American Psycho. I loved it and I’m I just ordered Woom and His Pain. Thanks!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!!
I love Thriller Books. I'm reading Murder Road now. It's a great book so far.
You should read more of Lisa Jewell’s books- all phenomenal
More like a SF horror mystery but Dead Silence by S.A. Barnes is one that might be worth checking out

None of This is True is on my tbr for this month!!
I read The Guest List a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. I should check out Foley's other books
I loved the guest list but was kinda disappointed by Lucy Foley’s other work. I still have yet to find a Riley Sager that I really like so i will definitely try this one!
Lisa Jewell is really popular here in the UK!
I'm bummed it took me so long to find her!
Highly recommend Liz Nugenr and Clair Mackintosh
Id love to hear your rhoughts on Look Closer by David Ellis. I listened to it and loved it. It was a 5 ⭐ thriller for sure
Murder on the Naval Base by Behcet Kaya. Masterpiece. The Snowman by Jo Nesbo. Another great book.

Hey Anda, have you read Pretty Girls yet? Would love to hear your review of this book.
Not yet, but I'll definitely get to it soon!

I went in mostly blind then read the synopsis after I read it and really glad I didn't do that before I read the book.
Have you read any Lucinda Berry? I read my first one a month ago and now I want to read through them all. I’m reading The Perfect Child now.
I really enjoyed the writing retreat (I can't remember the author) it was a good time.
I really enjoyed None Of This Is True. I read it a few months ago and flew through it.
if you like slow burn thriller, you'd definitely like Family Upstair by the same author
Hope everything is well ..
I adore Lisa Jewell all her books are worth a read ❤
I RAN and bought another one
@AndaKent if you can find "the house we grew up in" it's my favourite of hers and we'll worth a read
Try Kill The Next One by Axat Federico. My favorite mindblowing psychological thriller
Could you please suggest me a good thriller with easy reading for beginners?
Have you read Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister? It’s a time loop murder mystery/thriller and very well executed in my opinion. I saw a few minor things coming but the bigger twists were a pleasant surprise. Please check it out! And thanks for your recommendations! ❤
I’ve written one…I’ll let you read it :)
Read John Marrs- Keep It In the Family
I love seeing all the other Lisa Jewell fans here
