World's Most Advanced Supercars: Birth of the Automobile: • World's Most Advanced ...
The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) is a 55-kilometer (34 mi) bridge-tunnel system consisting of a series of three cable-stayed bridges, an undersea tunnel, and four artificial islands. It is both the longest sea-crossing and the longest open-sea fixed link in the world. The HZMB spans the Lingding and Jiuzhou channels, connecting Hong Kong, Macau, and Zhuhai-three major cities on the Pearl River Delta.
Originally set to be opened to traffic in late 2016, the structure was completed on February 6th, 2018, and journalists were taken for a ride over the bridge. On 24 October 24th, 2018, the HZMB was opened to the public.

i visited china two few years ago and this was seriously a surprisingly highlight of my trip! chinese transportation is way ahead of anything i experienced throughout my travels, i'm from the us, have been to japan, singapore.. their HSR system is insanely fast and has a huge network.. i visited knowing very little mandarin and it was super easy traveling around solo. i took a bus from xinhui to hong kong airport and went on this bridge. there werent many vehicles on it so you saw the big span of blue water, it was like driving into the horizon. border crossing was a breeze. being able to link three major regions of greater china thru a long but efficient bridge system is truly impressive! thanks for highlighting this :)
@The Random Guys {LarY} people go to jail in the uae for farthing in public and wait years to appear in a rigged court. funny but no thanks.

@@bangkokstallion reverse engineer & make it better than the original; steal is the wrong word!
HK, Macau, and Zhuhai are perfect.... its so easy travel to these 3 cities. Macau already have lots of amazing bridges.
I think the Chinese people are the best..innerbest...in building bridges across rivers, seas and canyons!!! And they are doing these with such diciplin, hard work and perfection! They are very intelligent people also!!!!
You should move there , sounds like Chinese are your hero’s.

Thanks man
This is Awesome that Humans can create such structures on this Planet the envy of other Galaxies our neighbors out there are whatching Planet Earth 🌏
chinese engineering build the impossible becomes possible salute
This is Awesome great job China 🇨🇳
I like the Technology and innovation 💡
Intelligent Chinese Civil & Structural Engineers
Great documentary. I wish I could see more like how did they complete the artificial islands, the foundations of the bridge towers and piers , the laying of the tunnel sections on the sea floor.
Significant man made structure on earth. I had a journey at the bridge in Jan 2019, taking a coach from Zhuhai to Hongkong, the longest bridge I experienced. One concern would be the number of vehicles on the bridge was not quite large.
That’s a good thing Gareth
Great work indeed ,truly china must be super power of this earth really, they own every what other menkind might not hands up to China.well done
Another priceless documentary
Well documented
well done the Engineers for the good job
Marvellous Civil Engineering feat.. 👍
the China design team approached the Dutch about the tunnel portion of the bridge. the Dutch refused to negotiate. so the team turned to South Korea to ask to look at their undersea tunnel. South Korea refused. the design team put their heads together and came up with their own design and patents.
the Dutch creates a competitor.
Since when has China worried about patents?
@@hse6144 When the west started to become jealous of China's rise, so China decided to patent its designs and products and now they own the most patents in the world.
@truths out Covid what?
Unfortunately, the Dutch often create trouble. For one, they blame Russia for this and that without evidence, without due process, like the downing of an airliner. It is known to be beholden to the US with its "dictation". They created this problem regarding the Nord Stream 2 project, again, a project by Russia. Now, Europe is in an energy crisis.
@@mrhdebater1607 stolen world patents lol
Amazing project. Look forward to hopefully seeing updates over the next few years as the project progresses.
Actually the project completed in 2018.
this is the coolest thing I've seen i a long time
One thing I can say about china….infrastructure and how they can bend nature…they are the first ones to do it in this scale…I don’t want to get into the politics but infrastructure big up there
我们的政府是全世界最好的政府,
True..imagine the they are the first to build the great wall of china..
Politics leave it for now
They got this knowledge from the Aliens 👽
Who are advanced far beyond Humans on this Planet 🙂👽

Look what we can't deny is the Chinese are the best innovators 🤷🏿♀️ they are genius.
Not true! They are very good at COPYING things!
Not innovators, they do take others ideas and make them cheaper and quicker. Often cheaper and nasty!
This was an awesome watch
Very good documentary.Thank you.2.10.2021
Excellent documentary! I wish I could see more like how did they complete the artificial islands, the foundations of the bridge towers and piers , the laying of the tunnel sections on the sea floor.
What the people need to know is the current situation and update of the project being constructed in these amazing Asian countries! And I wish, I could pass that bridge when it completed.
Now we look at "Made in China" in different way.
Wow,,..Very Impressive Project.. Amazing,,
The logistics involved in making the bridge is almost as impressive as the bridge itself.
oh people people people, why what you see is hate but nothing, just admit this is great project.
Since you cant deny it at all cause is happen in china or relate with china.

No nonsense ya say
On the ship carrying the cylinders, they should have put cameras on the bow, live feeding to video screens on the bridge, eliminating the record-setting blind spot.
I like China's Mega-projects, I wish they would make a huge and tall building in the middle of the Pacific Ocean to serve as ports and rescue areas for seafarers as well as tourists destination.
done subscription. your effort or show is so informative like for us who has no chance of seeing actually the place. thank you of your presentation.
Their approach to do the least environmental impact is responsible and respectful.
I cannot be the only person that see’s so many Mega Projects in Asia and Europe and none in the USA… The USA is quickly falling away from its once high position in the Global Growth and its prosperity that comes from the growth.
We still got better and more nukes , so there’s that.
Love China !
Head on over there , Commrad.
Great bridge. Bravo.
我回去玩就去看这大桥。HZMB,it is very famous in the world. ❤😂
Asians are very Gifted with the knowledge of technology.
No they ain’t they copy everybody else.
These Chinese are amazing and when you see some of these films and what they are building you can see how people think the will be the world's super race. It's just taken 9 months to resurface our crappy tamar bridge into Cornwall they could of built a new decent one in that time😂👍
They couldn’t complete a bridge 1.3 miles long. 20yrs later we still wait. Love Pakistan.
Incredible and Interesting!!!
Please come to America and help us to build some megastructures.
Just get them to fix the pot holes around here.

America used to build like this in the olden days. We still have technology but regulations make it impossible to do these things anymore
It is not because of regulations. It is about "not profitable". Those huge projects such as bridges and high-speed railway need huge investment and they may not be able to profit in a short time. Private companies are not willing to invest in building infrastructures without government's financial support.
Can't really say much but the fact that China is way ahead of time in terms of technology is the main reason America antagonizes them in every humanly possible way😂😂😂😂
Inspiring motivational massive gigantic epic story and appreciated this documentary.
Да... Китайцы молодцы!
so thanks for this information.have a good luck
magnificent
Do what they did here in the UK, at the Industrial Salt Depot, they covered the steel rebar in Fiberglass resin and then put them into their concrete.
Fun fact, Malmö sweden and copenhagen denmark has a bridge like this you can travel on, it's what you take to the airport
Hate or love it, doubt or believe, Chinese are hard working people with determination.
China love
this is more what China is good at ....
America was tackling projects like this over 50 years ago - ie the Chesapeake Bridge. We couldn't replicate it today, if we tried.

When I see this, it pisses me off that they havent built a bridge across Lake Michigan... Just North of Chicago Illinois, or south of Milwaukee Wisconsin, across to Michigan, near grand rapids. Instead what would be a 45-60min drive across from Chicago to Michigan, instead you have to drive all the way around the lake.... So a 45min drive turns to 4-5hours
Largest Lake in the US that actually is in the way of states, cities, and destinations. the only lake where a bridge would be extremely useful
where is part 2? plz
This is designed to make you feel small; and 'coincidentally' at the opportune time, they show you the globe. All of this go get your soul.
Nice
Great engineering achievement but it is a shame that people are not using the bridge because there is too much paperwork/red tape involved .
Congra we must learn from your experience. Thank
Agreed. At some point, the systems need reconciliation. I wonder where the governments of mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, and Macau SAR are in addressing these problems.
That's good cuz without paperworks, Hongkong and Macau's population would be increased by 300% in a single year. People from mainland China would go there consistantly seeking jobs, biz and whatnot.
Can you imagine driving a boat while not being able to see that's like closing your eyes while driving on the highway
Get this I fly a plane with my eyes closed , boats and cars are for babies.
This is new episode right? ...wow
I love construction, so I can’t stand these documentaries where they hardly show any construction.
While cow's are running around new dehli 😬
🤣 🤣 🤣
And we took 20years in building simple railway cum road bridge over Bhramaputra river at Bogibheel Assam. Just 4km length.
Really that was very easy, government looted billions from ferry tax. And intentionally delayed the most essential bridge which divides Assam in two parts . China would have completed the same bridge in just 1 year.
Research is key
What would keep those steel cylinders from getting eaten by the sea salt, and if it does how long they will last before get eaten thru and those artificial islands become unstable, cause I notice the steel cylinders are still very much raw steel , just so curious about that
