    Hey PB, I'm not a plumber but I really enjoy your videos and find them very interesting, thank you for taking the time to make and share them. I tried to sign the petition but I live in Australia so got absolutely nowhere with it. All power to you for trying to stop van and tool theft, I wish you every success with the powers that be, I hope they listen to you and act on your behalf. Thanks again for the videos, cheers mate, Brenden.

    😂 Good video PB, I get how relieved you were the boiler didn't leak, as for the dripping noise, I did a job in a nursery where it was kids crying all day and they played a running water noise to 'calm' them down for nap time, I was a broken man by the end of the day 😂

    Had a Tubella bender which had a really tight 22mm/3/4" former... really neat bends...that was over 50 years ago though. A bit of WD40 on the swage tool helps much and the side of a 20 0z. claw-hammer is more efficient than that sledge:-)

    Loving the vids PB only just subscribed. So true about those ‘Character building jobs’ as a spark I’ve been there- supppose the equivalent to a weeping joint is a constant tripping RCD after board change and finding what will always be a joint under floor!!!
    Great vids and commentary mate keep it up

    As a maintenance guy I always carry something to bypass switches, 3 pieces of cable, one with two male crimps, one with two female crimps and the third with one male and one female crimps. This allows me to safely bypass any bits of kit I suspect as faulty and it’s slightly more reliable than cable with bare ends. 😎

    Regarding that 22mm swaging tool, it’s tough on your hands and arms if you do a few. We had a tool back in the 80s with scissor handles that did the effortlessly, think it was a Rothenburg. Great videos.

    Very informative item about the batteries. It would be interesting to know if the batteries from various manufacturers have keepers or covers available so that the terminals are covered from coming into contact with anything. It is my view that all spare tool batteries should have covers available - DeWalt/Makita/Bosch etc. I wonder how many other fires are caused in the same way. Was this question asked of DeWalt / Makita etc....
    Keep up the good work with your vids.

    What difference does the swirl nozzle make on a gas torch when soldering? Does it heat the joint differently? What are the advantages over standard nozzle? Thanks for another great vid, PB. Always learn lots from each one.

  • @stevebrindley

  • @throttlebottle5906

    another big fire causer is "trigger start torches" left on the bottle, the safety locks can and do break, then when bumped, hit or falling over, they can light up and quickly start a fire.
    always remove the torch head from the bottle!

    Can I ask a question on forming sockets on the pipe I have always used them but was told on my gas assessment that you can't use them on gas is this true or not Regards Lee

    • @rayc1503
      @rayc1503 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      My mentor always swaged pipe even on gas. Although he anealed the pipes first. This is done by heating the pipe until it starts to glow. Stops the pipe fron fracturing when it's stretched. I sometimes swaged my pipes. But now I press 99% of my fittings. Nothing wrong with swaging pipes. Gas lines are mostly low pressure nothing in excess of 30mb. Central heating pipes expand and contract and work at higher pressure up to and in excess of 3bar. Still I never had any problems. It's better to aneal the pipe 1st. 🤪
