Of all of the criticism over ammo, I often feel this is the most valid one. It's almost worse than early fighting games when you were up shit's creek without a booklet.
I think Tarkov wants people to be explorative as they do include a lot of rpg elements so they don’t explicitly tell you everything. They also know content creators will cover gaps so nothing will stay hidden. Giving the player base exact effectiveness will create a meta and I’m sure battlestate hates having to balance the game.

"explorative" isnt going on the tarkov wiki or an app to see if the bullets youre using can kill someone, or if you can shoot a guy 20 times with no results. this is a terrible justification for not putting pen and damage numbers in game, especially considering theyre already doing that in arena.
Keep in mind that the performance of EVERY bullet will change, regardless of stats, because there's now the opportunity to thread higher damage rounds through gaps in armor, as opposed to situations that could come up before, in which low-pen rounds would often be running up against a hermetic wall over the thorax or head they had no chance of getting past. Add in the new ammo loadouts, and we could see lower penetration rounds getting much more mileage than previous patches.
Ya now everyone is running around in what is basically a PACA with a few class 4 or 5 hitboxes. Don't hit the plates and you only have weak Kevlar to punch through

I small but significant change for legmeta enjoyers: 9x19 rip now only has +5 recoil instead of the +22 it used to have. On the whole though these changes seem really good but we'll have to wait a while to see the effects. I haven't played the game in a while so maybe that got changed a while ago but this seems new
Are you dumb...? This update means that "leg meta" doesn't actually have to be a thing anymore....armor now has gaps, so there's a lot more exposed places on the body now.

Its just funny that a couple wipes ago i skipped 855 altogether, went with the PS/M80 guns like SKS, AKM, Vepr Hunter, RFB etc until I've unlocked 856A1. Now 855 is lvl3 Peacekeeper. Give it 2 more wipes and the first 15 levels you will have nothing but Warmage and knives. I mean at this point who uses RFB??? Whats the point of that gun?
I loved the 101 last wipe and I'll still use it as my main weapon this wipe. I was buying 55A1 every reset but I can't get rid of the feeling that this round is bugged and performs the same as 56A1.
BSG added 9x19 M882 to replace PST as a level 1 9mm round last wipe, but now has them both at level 2 this wipe. What was the point of adding it, then? It's now redundant.
It’s good, most wipes, “early wipe” only lasts for a few weeks, maybe a month at max. This is always going to happen, just given the fact that some people grind the game to death, day and night. However, it’s good to have these rounds pushed up to higher trader levels/more expensive crafts/flea bans etc., it means the majority of the middle ground players won’t reach those ammos for a longer period and so most encounters you have in game will still feel like “early wipe”. I enjoy late wipe pvp, I’ve played 4 wipes now and never quit one yet, I always play til the end, I enjoy the grind and building slightly off meta load outs for variety sakes; plus nothing beats killing a duo and getting 2x Slicks, kitted Airframe helms, thermal scopes and a bunch of meta flea banned ammo that would take me forever to craft. With that said, early wipe pvp is still the best in my opinion (and many others), as it feels the most raw and true to tarkov. Plus I can get excited when I find a good scope to throw on my gun, find a pack of good ammo, or get a quest item I’ve been looking for all night; compared to later in the wipe when I’m just min-maxing trying to get the most rubles per slot so I can add to my 45 million that I’m never going to spend.
I really want to like these changes, but level 4 traders for all of the old "useable" rounds sounds really, really bad for casual players. I think it'll come down to how the new armor hitboxes end up working out, but for now I'm picturing all of the giga chads being even more unkillable than normal in a couple weeks. I also think this would've been a better idea to implement in the summer, when less people are off for school and less able to grind levels quickly over the holidays.
Nah, the high penetration rounds are gonna be less of a priority now. Especially with ammo presets. If anything, mixing a HP or SP round in-between a few AP or decent ones might become meta. All you need is one high damage round to slip past or next to a plate and hit the chest.

this game is very openly catered towards hardcore players (people who can no life the game / people who can't but are okay with it) idk how there's ppl who see this game and think it's gonna be a good experience playing it when you can only play 4 hours a week I don't have as much time now so I just don't play the game because I know it requires grinding that I won't be able to do playing casually

From M856A1 at Peacekeeper lvl 2 to lvl 4 and 7.62 PP is now Prapor lvl 4?! As a casual player who never gets his PMC higher than lvl 30 within a wipe and stays away from the frustrating shoreline quests I can say without any doubt; rest in peace Tarkov! Ngl you are right homie, 75% of players don't even reach max traders. They get to level 30-35 and just ruble and play how they like. Most streamers got to level 20 in 6 hours of the game being wiped. It's ridiculous.
No magnum anymore and a shitty pirana craft for 50 ammo that takes 3 powders and a steel fuel tank. They added a face cover too that doesn't block helmet and ears as well. And the painkiller vision is now not a problem anymore so going for the legs only nets you the damage reduction to limbs. Shotguns are totally fucked now, unless fighting against the lowest level of timmies. It's doable with express or 5.25 but even then good luck when facing a squad.

I'm gonna give BSG the benefit of the doubt here and assume they removed the high penalty ammo because they want to test the plate hitboxes, so people shoot at chest height with low pen ammo and they can test how well the new armor system works.

Seems like people are going to start getting creative with flesh damage rounds. Legs, groin, neck and armpits are going to become new (head, eyes). 5.45 SP and HP are constantly sold out in the game at the moment.
i think moving higher tier ammo, and higher pen ammo into late game, and making it hard to get and stockpile is a move in the right direction. When I did play tarkov, matches were lousy with high pen ammo being ran by everyone, and essentially made armor nearly useless, except for lvl 6 armors still had some validity.
There were no point of running armor, since your armor is gonna get completely annihilated with 1 bullet anyways. So there were a lot of people running mid-tier and high-tier guns with low-tier armor (to mainly protect them from scavs)
All of the ammo changes mean nothing. Ash 12 and shotties for me, I just love the dakka to drive fear into the hearts of my enemies. Sadly, still no sound enhancer for the Ash in this patch. Looking forward how controllable its kick is with the recoil changes.
Damn, BSG really did reset the entire progression tree. I actually might begin to enjoy this game with the recoil changes. However, I am still dealing with long queue times and unstable servers, so still have a lot of work to do, BSG. Thank you, Gigabeef, for your videos. They have always helped me stay on top of changes to Tarkov.
My biggest issue with this and any change BSG makes is that we just have to FIGURE IT OUT. No announcement, no reasoning, no logical thought process followed, etc.
JFC the new Sig armor pen ammo at level 4 Peacekeeper is gonna be nice to get instakilled by in 2-3 days when all the no lifers get access to it, and then inevitably never being able to use it myself in a month or two when I get there because Nikita finally realizes that, oh shit, maybe it's way too good to be a simple money trade and removes it 🙃
It makes sense to push the high end military ammos out of the traders, but still hate that mk318 SOST is less flesh than m855, when IRL mk318 should have HP levels of flesh damage and a bit less pen than 855.
Moving like low mid tier ammo to LL3 and up is INSANE to me. It's making gunfights sponge shootouts unless you doink the face which is just not enjoyable. Sure you usually try to hit the face anyway but in some situations with surprise gun fights you dont have much time to line up the perfect face shot to avoid the helmet. Had some dudes tank 3 headys yesterday with .366 granted it's a poo poo pen round but thats why its wild that mid tier pen ammos are SO HIGH up on traders LL's. So far it feels like not a very good change.
Because good ammo is unnecessary at this point. You will die much faster regardless of ammo. Bad ammo? Just aim for groin or armpits. If it was lower, bad players would instead complain about getting shredded by everyone
Time to farm woods for ammo drops. I had an ammo case full of bs, pp, and 300blk ap last wipe so hopefully the toned down those spawns or people will just run those
Yeah, PP in particular was incredibly easy to find since those 120 round boxes where decently common on ammo spawns. Which I didn't mind at all since it used to be a decent but not great round, but with the improved damage it's now pretty good early to mid wipe ammo. Still seems easy to find judging by the 5 rounds I've played so far
@@scandallpower the little shack between logging camp and scav house is pretty good, look in the green military boxes. also a spawn near sniper scav on the boxes next to the underground entrance. probably more but those i remember off the top.
@scandallpower woods is packed with ammo spawns, on top of all the lootable green crates. On top of the mountain by the bunker entrance is a crate with a tarp on it that has loose ammo, the closed bunker entrance on the other side of the mountain, the campfire just outside of the town, the trailer of wood by the shed in the town, in a cracked open box in the camp near the radio tower with the vodnik parked in it. On top of several boxes under the radio tower, on top of the rock in usec camp, on a crate in the first red building in sawmill, in the grass behind the overlook rock that sits at the south end of sawmill (that one might be a glitch based on sturmans guards), on the chair inside the shack at the checkpoint and finally outside the shack with the attachment spawns and rifle rack between sawmill and outskirts extract. Bonus chance for good ammo inside 60 round mags that spawn inside zb14, I have a clip where we found 4 mags in one raid inside zb14.
1:19 Sig Spear is the bom"b" in game and out of game... for the soon to be main rifle of US military its 20 ammo mags as they are heavy/ big and for armored targets at long range... more for semi shot sniper rifle but for everyone + silencer as std pew pew

Game would be 10x better if they simplified the ammo into 3 classes for each ammo only, ie 7.62HP, 7.62FMJ, 7.62AP, the only thing blocking people from getting them is the price, not the quests
it really feels like they are giving the 545 class a bit of a boost. as much as i love the AKs, they always let me down late wipe compared to M4s, especially on distance shots

So far I’ve rarely been shot in my thorax, most people seem to be leg munching or groin shooting (since I don’t have armor for that area yet). I also got lucky and had a scav ricochet off my steel helmet.

With better recoil and burst being better i think armor pen matters a lot less now. It has become so much easier to focus on just hitting the right spots now and avoid armor pen altogether.
@@CatBack94 You're all dumb and ignorant of the new update...you all seem to only have learned of the ammo changes and not all of the other changes. Recoil change means that ALL weapons can handle pretty good, meaning there's no more "bad guns"....and, the armor update means that there's gaps, which translates into faster TTK as the whole meta armor chad thing isn't possible anymore; no matter how good of armor you have, those gaps mean that a rat with a makarov can take you down with the shittiest ammo. THIS IS A GOOD THING FOR NORMAL/AVERAGE/CASUAL gamers! No more no-lifer dominance of people grinding tons of cash to get the best armor...while armor is still good to have, the recoil, armor, and ammo changes means that the game now caters more to the average gamer and allows for the playing field to be leveled and thus a lot more fair.
Literally any bullet will kill you more efficiently cause of the armor changes so this is all just a good thing for new players. Feels like before shit bullets were buffed and most of the guns you can now use efficiently without modding 100k in it

The numbers for Fury are a bit low imo. They were saying the round delivers more energy on impact than 7.62x51, but it looks comperable to me. The higher pen 7.62 ammo is better than it.
Why is everyone in these comments crying and bitching about "starter ammo is now locked behind LL3 waaaahh". Its a balance change. Obviously the old "starter" ammo from previous wipes should not be considered starter ammo anymore. They have been changing ammo stats and adding new ammos every wipe. Also, with the recoil and armor changes, every gun will be more viable now, so worrying about this makes zero sense. Just use the best ammo you can get ahold of and stop crying, it changes nothing about the gameplay except the name of the ammo you use.

Before I was wondering if it was worth taking a helmet now I'm just wondering if it's even worth bringing armor, I'll use cheap armors since you can shoot through certain weaknesses in armors now.
With the new armor system it'll be easier to make shitty ammo count if you don't aim where the actual plates are in the center chest and back. Shitty ammo will still go through softer armor. With so many changes being made all we can do is see how it all plays out
The game is supposed to have a skill gap, it’s not supposed to be fair to everyone. Tarkov is a game of effort/reward. Play more, do better, have more fun, best way anyone can say it. There’s no sugarcoating, it, if you aren’t having fun in tarkov, just stop, the devs are pushing people out on purpose because of how casual the game was last wipe. A lot of people complaining about ammo availability like this wipe is the exact same as last. Provided the armour hitboxes work as intended you will not need to rely anywhere near as much on super high pen ammos. Recoil changes also mean you get a lot more shots on target as well. I suspect 6.8 from traders is likely for testing purposes, hard to test the new ammo/gun if you can't find it. Will almost definitely be adjusted to match other high tier ammo down the line.
For those complaining, please understand that they're testing with the new armor system. Higher pen rounds shouldn't matter as much given the armor gaps.

Geeeez, I for sure won't ever be able to buy decent ammo as I rarely go above lvl 3 traders when approching the end of the wipe... Guess that's gonna make fights much more interesting, with most players not being able to have okay pen before a long time.

I don’t even remember dying to BP until the very end actually. Or maybe you haven’t played very long? Because four wipes ago, level 20’s had 995 if they wanted, and fully meta kits.
@@cancerousnut7767 i played last wipe and everyone was running ak74us with bt, akms with pp, m4s and mdr with m856a1 like a few days in. yeah you didnt see m995 but thats irrelevant because you cant buy class 6 armor anymore. people are locked to class 4 until they level traders, and by the time someone slow unlocks 56a1 or whatever every sweat has korund. by the time the slow person unlocks level 5 armor every sweat has meta ammo crafted in the thousands. if you delete 7.62 bp out of the game you havent "delayed the early wipe" youve only moved the goal post of what early wipe is. now instead of reaching higher level traders/flea and finally being able to compete gear wise against the people who play this game like a job, you reach level 3 traders and can buy m855. WOW
Sounds like this wipe is solving the years old issue of armors becoming obsolete once the first month has passed. It's been better last wipe, but this wipe looks like another big step forward.

I don't know why they change so much every wipe. I mean doing some adjustments is ok but why changing the order "power" of the ammo so often? Casual player will struggle to remember every wipe what ammo are usable, what are really good etc. Example 5.45 why making BP so good now? Let BT be better than average ammo...

It seems like Eko rounds for .366 have been moved from loyalty level 1 into 2, so the VPO sniper is pretty sad to use.

Its just funny that a couple wipes ago i skipped 855 altogether, went with the PS/M80 guns like SKS, AKM, Vepr Hunter, RFB etc until I've unlocked 856A1. Now 855 is lvl3 Peacekeeper. Give it 2 more wipes and the first 15 levels you will have nothing but Warmage and knives. I mean at this point who uses RFB??? Whats the point of that gun?

with the recoil update now you can use different weapons effectively

I loved the 101 last wipe and I'll still use it as my main weapon this wipe. I was buying 55A1 every reset but I can't get rid of the feeling that this round is bugged and performs the same as 56A1.
I mean it's the same for most other weapons as well. they also lost their best ammo, so it's not just the 556 guns that are getting "nerfed"
you can probably still craft m995, just mix that with m856a1 in the mag loader preset and ur good to go
BSG added 9x19 M882 to replace PST as a level 1 9mm round last wipe, but now has them both at level 2 this wipe. What was the point of adding it, then? It's now redundant.

It’s good, most wipes, “early wipe” only lasts for a few weeks, maybe a month at max. This is always going to happen, just given the fact that some people grind the game to death, day and night. However, it’s good to have these rounds pushed up to higher trader levels/more expensive crafts/flea bans etc., it means the majority of the middle ground players won’t reach those ammos for a longer period and so most encounters you have in game will still feel like “early wipe”.
I enjoy late wipe pvp, I’ve played 4 wipes now and never quit one yet, I always play til the end, I enjoy the grind and building slightly off meta load outs for variety sakes; plus nothing beats killing a duo and getting 2x Slicks, kitted Airframe helms, thermal scopes and a bunch of meta flea banned ammo that would take me forever to craft.
With that said, early wipe pvp is still the best in my opinion (and many others), as it feels the most raw and true to tarkov. Plus I can get excited when I find a good scope to throw on my gun, find a pack of good ammo, or get a quest item I’ve been looking for all night; compared to later in the wipe when I’m just min-maxing trying to get the most rubles per slot so I can add to my 45 million that I’m never going to spend.
The patch notes mentioned tasks are gonna give more access to items we couldn't get before, so the good ammo is task focused.
I really want to like these changes, but level 4 traders for all of the old "useable" rounds sounds really, really bad for casual players. I think it'll come down to how the new armor hitboxes end up working out, but for now I'm picturing all of the giga chads being even more unkillable than normal in a couple weeks.
I also think this would've been a better idea to implement in the summer, when less people are off for school and less able to grind levels quickly over the holidays.
Nah, the high penetration rounds are gonna be less of a priority now. Especially with ammo presets.
If anything, mixing a HP or SP round in-between a few AP or decent ones might become meta. All you need is one high damage round to slip past or next to a plate and hit the chest.

No magnum anymore and a shitty pirana craft for 50 ammo that takes 3 powders and a steel fuel tank. They added a face cover too that doesn't block helmet and ears as well. And the painkiller vision is now not a problem anymore so going for the legs only nets you the damage reduction to limbs.
Shotguns are totally fucked now, unless fighting against the lowest level of timmies. It's doable with express or 5.25 but even then good luck when facing a squad.

I'm gonna give BSG the benefit of the doubt here and assume they removed the high penalty ammo because they want to test the plate hitboxes, so people shoot at chest height with low pen ammo and they can test how well the new armor system works.
No this change is absolutely needed to make this game reasonable later into wipe, and eventually no wipe at all. They upped good ammo spawns in raid.

Seems like people are going to start getting creative with flesh damage rounds. Legs, groin, neck and armpits are going to become new (head, eyes). 5.45 SP and HP are constantly sold out in the game at the moment.

It’s great to see ss190 and .45 AP back, but putting a new round with 47 pen purchasable by trader but removing 55A1 is just asking for a new meta.

i think moving higher tier ammo, and higher pen ammo into late game, and making it hard to get and stockpile is a move in the right direction. When I did play tarkov, matches were lousy with high pen ammo being ran by everyone, and essentially made armor nearly useless, except for lvl 6 armors still had some validity.
There were no point of running armor, since your armor is gonna get completely annihilated with 1 bullet anyways.
So there were a lot of people running mid-tier and high-tier guns with low-tier armor (to mainly protect them from scavs)
All of the ammo changes mean nothing. Ash 12 and shotties for me, I just love the dakka to drive fear into the hearts of my enemies. Sadly, still no sound enhancer for the Ash in this patch. Looking forward how controllable its kick is with the recoil changes.

Damn, BSG really did reset the entire progression tree. I actually might begin to enjoy this game with the recoil changes. However, I am still dealing with long queue times and unstable servers, so still have a lot of work to do, BSG. Thank you, Gigabeef, for your videos. They have always helped me stay on top of changes to Tarkov.

It makes sense to push the high end military ammos out of the traders, but still hate that mk318 SOST is less flesh than m855, when IRL mk318 should have HP levels of flesh damage and a bit less pen than 855.
Moving like low mid tier ammo to LL3 and up is INSANE to me. It's making gunfights sponge shootouts unless you doink the face which is just not enjoyable. Sure you usually try to hit the face anyway but in some situations with surprise gun fights you dont have much time to line up the perfect face shot to avoid the helmet. Had some dudes tank 3 headys yesterday with .366 granted it's a poo poo pen round but thats why its wild that mid tier pen ammos are SO HIGH up on traders LL's. So far it feels like not a very good change.

Yeah, PP in particular was incredibly easy to find since those 120 round boxes where decently common on ammo spawns.
Which I didn't mind at all since it used to be a decent but not great round, but with the improved damage it's now pretty good early to mid wipe ammo. Still seems easy to find judging by the 5 rounds I've played so far

@@scandallpower the little shack between logging camp and scav house is pretty good, look in the green military boxes. also a spawn near sniper scav on the boxes next to the underground entrance. probably more but those i remember off the top.
@scandallpower woods is packed with ammo spawns, on top of all the lootable green crates. On top of the mountain by the bunker entrance is a crate with a tarp on it that has loose ammo, the closed bunker entrance on the other side of the mountain, the campfire just outside of the town, the trailer of wood by the shed in the town, in a cracked open box in the camp near the radio tower with the vodnik parked in it. On top of several boxes under the radio tower, on top of the rock in usec camp, on a crate in the first red building in sawmill, in the grass behind the overlook rock that sits at the south end of sawmill (that one might be a glitch based on sturmans guards), on the chair inside the shack at the checkpoint and finally outside the shack with the attachment spawns and rifle rack between sawmill and outskirts extract. Bonus chance for good ammo inside 60 round mags that spawn inside zb14, I have a clip where we found 4 mags in one raid inside zb14.

Game would be 10x better if they simplified the ammo into 3 classes for each ammo only, ie 7.62HP, 7.62FMJ, 7.62AP, the only thing blocking people from getting them is the price, not the quests

So far I’ve rarely been shot in my thorax, most people seem to be leg munching or groin shooting (since I don’t have armor for that area yet). I also got lucky and had a scav ricochet off my steel helmet.

With better recoil and burst being better i think armor pen matters a lot less now. It has become so much easier to focus on just hitting the right spots now and avoid armor pen altogether.

@@CatBack94 You're all dumb and ignorant of the new update...you all seem to only have learned of the ammo changes and not all of the other changes. Recoil change means that ALL weapons can handle pretty good, meaning there's no more "bad guns"....and, the armor update means that there's gaps, which translates into faster TTK as the whole meta armor chad thing isn't possible anymore; no matter how good of armor you have, those gaps mean that a rat with a makarov can take you down with the shittiest ammo.
THIS IS A GOOD THING FOR NORMAL/AVERAGE/CASUAL gamers! No more no-lifer dominance of people grinding tons of cash to get the best armor...while armor is still good to have, the recoil, armor, and ammo changes means that the game now caters more to the average gamer and allows for the playing field to be leveled and thus a lot more fair.
Literally any bullet will kill you more efficiently cause of the armor changes so this is all just a good thing for new players. Feels like before shit bullets were buffed and most of the guns you can now use efficiently without modding 100k in it
Btw m855a1 isnt gone from the game for those worried or confused, just from traders - I have 5 stacks of it.

The numbers for Fury are a bit low imo. They were saying the round delivers more energy on impact than 7.62x51, but it looks comperable to me. The higher pen 7.62 ammo is better than it.
Why is everyone in these comments crying and bitching about "starter ammo is now locked behind LL3 waaaahh". Its a balance change. Obviously the old "starter" ammo from previous wipes should not be considered starter ammo anymore. They have been changing ammo stats and adding new ammos every wipe. Also, with the recoil and armor changes, every gun will be more viable now, so worrying about this makes zero sense. Just use the best ammo you can get ahold of and stop crying, it changes nothing about the gameplay except the name of the ammo you use.

Before I was wondering if it was worth taking a helmet now I'm just wondering if it's even worth bringing armor, I'll use cheap armors since you can shoot through certain weaknesses in armors now.
They keep removing more and more ammo, it's only going to punish bad players. It's such a backwards way to balance.
With the new armor system it'll be easier to make shitty ammo count if you don't aim where the actual plates are in the center chest and back. Shitty ammo will still go through softer armor. With so many changes being made all we can do is see how it all plays out
The game is supposed to have a skill gap, it’s not supposed to be fair to everyone. Tarkov is a game of effort/reward. Play more, do better, have more fun, best way anyone can say it. There’s no sugarcoating, it, if you aren’t having fun in tarkov, just stop, the devs are pushing people out on purpose because of how casual the game was last wipe. A lot of people complaining about ammo availability like this wipe is the exact same as last. Provided the armour hitboxes work as intended you will not need to rely anywhere near as much on super high pen ammos. Recoil changes also mean you get a lot more shots on target as well.
I suspect 6.8 from traders is likely for testing purposes, hard to test the new ammo/gun if you can't find it. Will almost definitely be adjusted to match other high tier ammo down the line.
For those complaining, please understand that they're testing with the new armor system. Higher pen rounds shouldn't matter as much given the armor gaps.

But thank the gods they made 7.62 ps question locked so many fucks just used that bullshit the whole wipe and makes early wipe meaningless because ps was able to pen even class 4. Bug ups to Bsg for making the early wipe decent.

i like that they pushed all of the ammo up levels it forces you to actually progress the missions to increase trader level instead of pvping for all of the good loot

Geeeez, I for sure won't ever be able to buy decent ammo as I rarely go above lvl 3 traders when approching the end of the wipe... Guess that's gonna make fights much more interesting, with most players not being able to have okay pen before a long time.
unloocked AP-M 366 craft by doing Tarkov shooter 3 but m not seeing it on Workbench 2, I think the craft maybe is on lvl3 workbench!

@@TwoPowersCZE for every player who has every gotten into the ETS testing on any wipe. I did the testing 5 wipes ago and still get the package and haven't loged nto ETS servers in a few years.

What do you want to happen? People who play a lot get punished? There’s no scenario where people who play a lot aren’t going to shred you. if you think it’s the ammo or gun, and not you getting beat because you aren’t good compared to someone who plays for a job, I’m just not sure what to tell you.
@@cancerousnut7767 part of it is being beaten by someone better than you for sure. but there comes a point where they have a gun where they have to shoot you twice in the chest and you have a gun where you cant even kill them by shooting center mass without hitting 20+ shots and then its less of a skill difference and more of a gear difference.
@@orionfell That’s literally not happening anymore, unless you’re really good at hitting nothing but chest, you’re going to be hitting armpits, groin, or neck. Two of those and the dude is dead. Even then, guns like the SVT exist if you don’t care about how you look to other players.
@@cancerousnut7767 yeah thats actually a fair point and i think the armor changes probably will be good, i wasnt able to launch the game until yesterday evening so i havent had much time to play with them. but with the svt example now im pretty sure lps is level 3 traders now which just furthers the imbalance. obviously theres a lot of ways around it with fir ammo, magnum buck etc and i dont really find myself dying because of gear imbalance that often but the common "youd lose anyway" argument, while mostly true, is not just because the people who play this game have more experience its also because they have advantages over you in weapons, armor, and ammo.

@@cancerousnut7767 every change made to ammo availability people say itl "extend early wipe" yet it never does anything. if you grind quests youll level up and unlock good ammo, if youre slow even when you get your trader leveled youre still going to have shit ammo compared to the sweats
@cancerousnut7767 Nah, you unlock a ton of ammo now through quests. I'll be running mostly HPs now anyway and taking out armpits.
@@orionfell That’s exactly what it does LMFAO. You play last wipe? BP, m61, and 995 was basically not present until the second half of the wipe. I don’t even remember dying to BP until the very end actually. Or maybe you haven’t played very long? Because four wipes ago, level 20’s had 995 if they wanted, and fully meta kits.
@@cancerousnut7767 i played last wipe and everyone was running ak74us with bt, akms with pp, m4s and mdr with m856a1 like a few days in. yeah you didnt see m995 but thats irrelevant because you cant buy class 6 armor anymore. people are locked to class 4 until they level traders, and by the time someone slow unlocks 56a1 or whatever every sweat has korund. by the time the slow person unlocks level 5 armor every sweat has meta ammo crafted in the thousands. if you delete 7.62 bp out of the game you havent "delayed the early wipe" youve only moved the goal post of what early wipe is.
now instead of reaching higher level traders/flea and finally being able to compete gear wise against the people who play this game like a job, you reach level 3 traders and can buy m855. WOW
A little change to how you can obtain ammos can change your playstyle completely, damn. can't cheese those chads with cheap and good ammos any more.

Sounds like this wipe is solving the years old issue of armors becoming obsolete once the first month has passed.
It's been better last wipe, but this wipe looks like another big step forward.

I get why they dont add that alot of info in the game about the bullet damage, because its meant to be hard game and you are supposes to find out and test things out unfortunately 😁

I don't know why they change so much every wipe. I mean doing some adjustments is ok but why changing the order "power" of the ammo so often? Casual player will struggle to remember every wipe what ammo are usable, what are really good etc. Example 5.45 why making BP so good now? Let BT be better than average ammo...
