A better hack is to just not use dryer sheets. Modern dryers have lint catchers (remember to empty it after every load or it can catch fire), they're bad for the environment, and they have chemicals that can wear your clothes out faster. Same with fabric softener.

At least in the US, all rooms with flowing water and outlets have a master switch that turns off if it detects moisture. One of the outlets will have a test and reset button, and pushing reset lets the electricity flow again.
