Tomba was my favorite skier. I remember when he blew everyone away in the the 1988 Olympics. I was 16 years old when I was watching live on TV.
I WAS HERE WHEN HE WON GOLD!! I was with my father at the finish line.. the party was insane when i was 14 years old..big smiles..i experience this..:)
Wow. That would have been cool to see. I was 6 but still remember him on the podium getting the gold medal on tv back in 88 the family watching the Olympics and seeing this impressive performance by Tomba
@@IrontoughItalian Awesome 💯💞
OMG! This brings back great memories!
Viva Alberto! ♥ Viva l'Italia! ♥ Viva Bologna! ♥
Tomba was awesome! Loved his flashy and flamboyant style!
Best alpine skier in history
Over Killy???
Best alpine skier in history imo.
Huh? Where was Tomba during the Super-G and dowhill races? He was hiding scared in the bar with a drink in his hand. Alberto was not a complete alpine skier, he was just a slalom skier - and a funny guy that made a lot of jokes about himself not being able to race in the fast disciplines.
ventende Dude, are you stalking my comments on Bomba Tomba? Just joking, that would be your opinion Sir., which I fully respect. Me, I think the Bomba was the most talented one, well over, say, Aamodt or Stenmark. There are absolutely no basis (again, in my opinion), to measure a skier's skill by the type of race he's specialized at.
ventende ...again you and your theories of "true alpine skiers"?!?! I would remember that Tomba alone won more races than "your" Kjus and Aamodt together...and Stenmark too has never raced in fast disciplines, like Klammer or Hermann Maier in the slow ones... Kjus and - moreover - Aamodt were great skiers, Tomba, Maier, Stenmark or Klammer were champions you can see once every 10-20 years. That's all.
+ventende by this time people were specialized in disciplines...
+Ramiro Lopez Stenmark?
I was actually there for this, my dad and I are somewhere in that crowd. It was the second most enthusiastic crowd cheering I've ever heard in my life.
I did a project on him in my Italian class in high school! :) So great to see this here!
I wish i was alive when the olympics were in my city, would have been so friggin cool to see the world come to calgary
I Was There At Finish Line💯💞
La postura ed il baricentro
Il tronco come timone di una nave.
Assoluto controllo della posizione degli arti inferiori e superiori, sci perfettamente in armonia
È stato ed ancora adesso è il migliore di tutti
La pianura padana non produce talenti simili
Alberto you are "One in a million"
nessuno come lui.
alberto!!!!
The worst thing for his opponents was to ski after him, because everybody knew that if La Bomba crossed the finish line, it was over, you could just run for 2nd.
I have a pair of rossignol r 9000 skis, the same ones he used in the vid
They weren't even shaped back then, were they? Can't remember when I got my first pair of shaped skis but I know it was into the 1990s.
No helmet, epitome of cool!
He's still my Idol on skis. He didn't wear a brain bucket & he smoked all of them on shear ice.
Wish I was alive to see that
Leggenda
What speeds did they get to on that gs course?
Do you still have a copy..? Can always mail me !!! I did also a project on him in My 2nd year of Italian lessons !
in Italy he was a sort of religion.
a skier from Bologna...ahahah...no hills there, no mountains...unbelievable
Bologna is famous for its hills and my grandpa used to ski there in the 30/40s...The Appennines just below Bologna are full of ski resorts (e.g. Abetone, Cimone, Sestola, ecc) even if not as great as Dolomiti or other italian resorts. Ps anyway even Zeno Colò and Giuliano Razzoli come from there
learn geography man
Gawd! Skiing has changed eh!
skiing is so boring and predictable today
shave & a cappuccino then 2nd run. Legend!
I hate this music so much I couldn't watch the video. You totally ruined it!
Who cares about the music watch Tomba win the Gold in Calgary 88 instead. Actually I kind of like the music
No helmets cool i like it 🫣
check out those cheesey costumes
I agree. The 80s were hard on fashion.
beautifull memories, but sadley with those ugly music again
I have a pair of rossignol r 9000 skis, the same ones he used in the vid
He used Rossignol 4G
