All my life I have been cheated. I've had everything ripped away from me. I tried to be forgiving at first, I truly did, but that was seen as weakness. They thought I was a coward, and punished me even more for it. That's when I learned something, never leave your fate in the hands of your opponent. They will always, ALWAYS, take advantage of it. And who is my opponent? Why, the world of course!
All the time we spent together, you would look me in the eyes and say that you believed in me. And yet, when the world knocked me to the ground and kicked me in the stomach, you didn't even lift a finger. I cannot assume the world will give me a winning hand, I must use what I have been dealt to the best of my abilities.
But I refuse to be pushed around anymore. The game is in my control now, the board belongs to me, and nearly every piece is in place. I will be honest, I do not wish to fight you, but I will not let you control my fortune.

You promised that you would always be there for me, but where were you when I broke down in my room, or when I regularly went to the hospital to fix what they did to me.
But now it’s time to make them suffer, like I did. Make them pay for all they put me through. I thought you would understand, but I was wrong. But *they* helped me, made me stronger.

Our character falling in with the villans due to how hero society was and forcing us down this path.

Honestly, was expecting a final betrayal in the middle of that final hero speech. Ya know, just as she's goin' on about how they've crossed a line of no return and she's prepared to fight them in the future and suddenly a pained gasp and distressed groans erupt from her as the friend digs a six inch blade into them because killing them now is better then fighting again later after the information of their betrayal reaches the others. Kinda like the only anchor to the other side broke when she chooses to fight against them and they'll find it better to commit the grim dead now instead of catching and releasing to fight in the future where they may see them again and their resolve may waiver which leads to their defeat with nothing of their dream being accomplished.
