Just a piece of information, avoid using your phone during thunderstorms as it attracts lighting. You may get struck. Also while fuelling in a gas station, avoid using your phone. It may blow up. There’s always a reminder in every gasoline station. Turn it off first. Safety first. ❤
Since you mentioned mosquitos, I suggest you apply Off-lotion. It is available in supermarkets or drugstores. Rainy season is also Dengue season. A life- threatening disease you get from mosquito bites. Dengue mosquitos strike during daytime. So I suggest have your kids apply off-lotion to their arms and legs, especially if they go to school. Also fyi, rainy season starts late May until February. During this period too, we have typhoons. SUMMER (dry season) starts in March and ends in early May. I hope these informations will help. Summer is the best time to enjoy tropical fruits and beaches. Enjoy life in Iloilo. Be safe always. ❤
(Yes, I know you guys are living in the Philippines for 2 years)😊 Thank you for choosing our country as your second home.
Ps. Green banana is called Lakatan. It is usually used in baking, like Banana cake because it is more aromatic. In selecting Mangostee, buy only the one with soft skin. Do not buy the one with hard peeling because it is hard to open and is already rotten in the inside.

Cool season - december - February.

Markets in Iloilo City are currently being renovated. We have mostly one or two in each 지구 (Jaro Big and Small Markets, Downtown에는 Super and Terminal Markets, Lapaz Market, Mandurriao Market이 있습니다).

Many schools in Manila let students wear long pants instead of skirts to prevent mosquito bites
Apply OFF lotion on skin, then wear socks or pants after.

Best to put screen on the windows to prevent mosquitos from coming in.
To drive out mosquitos from inside the house, my family usually use light dried coconut husks placed in an aluminum or steel pot and make a smoke. Then we usually go around the house carrying the.smoking husks to the living room, kitchen, bedrooms etc to drive out the mosquitos . So.make sure to open the windows and doors while doing this. May Allah swt always bless you and your family with good health and happiness

I live in Iloilo and we have so many wet markets located in different areas in the city (Jaro, La Paz, Super, Central markets). Currently there are renovations being made to our wet markets so parking is a challenge. If you want to try a lot of fruits, try going to Plazuela, near SM city, they have fruit and vegetable stalls there as well as fish. I buy my fruits there because the quality is really good. You should try to visit our fishing port, you can buy seafoods and have it cooked there. I hope you are enjoying Iloilo!
